I'm with Tash, I dont trust my local dealers to service my car (western suburbs SYDNEY). I drive a shade under 200km (Bathurst Toyota, were I got the car from) to get mine done. I think if you find dealer that offers no BS and does a great job, travel shouldn't be a factor even worth mentioning.........and besides.....make a day of it and explore the local area while your there :)

I would try the following if you can handle a bit of DIY 1) Full coolant flush / replace 2) Degrease Engine and Radiator 3) Check radiator for cracks (top of the radiator) If there are still problems, go to a mechanic.

There really isn't a set order to do the panels. From personal experience, the tailgate on hatches need the most work as this is where the water / dirt / grime accumulates. This area will need the most work (clay, polish wax wise) I would spend a good hour just on this section. Next, I would goto town on the roof. Again, spend time here as this gets all the sun plus the dirt / grime stick and bake onto the paint here. After this, just work on the remaining panels. If you want to spread out the detailing time, can i suggest a maximum of 2 weeks. I say this so your great effort doesn't look patchy in the end. /my 2 cents slighty off topic: where are you based, BG Pete House of Awesome Car Cleaning might be near by :P
