As long as they are not stock, they're illegal. With regards to whether you'll get pulled over and defected, it's just your luck. From what I've heard, some guys with super blue low beams have been driving around for years without getting defected while others with white HIDs get defected. Installation is very simple but you have to be prepared that there's some chance of getting pulled over one unfortunate night. yeah, i got defected, no fine though luckilly if you are to install after market HIDs you need an "auto levelling device" or "high pressure regulators"

now that you guys have mentioned it the gen 4 camry ive been driving does slightly veer to the left on a fairly straight road, ill test it on my gen 5 when i get it back, to see if this happens as well
