  1. ok guys was talking to dylan today and he wont be here till late arvo and he is staying down the coast, so what i was thinking is that we cruise down the coast and mabey grab dinner at pizza hut at kirra or somthing like that...let me know what you think or if you have an suggestions.
  2. its not only that it will need a retune the looms are diff on both cars, the celica has a 2nd computer in it as well. Also in regard to the question bout the 1zz-fe ECU's Apexera make a Power FC for the 1zz-fe.
  3. its more to do with the VVTL-i becuase its software controlled each car is diff, because the ECU will adjust to suit what ever the car is doing, unlike v-tec thats basically an on/off thing. this is also the main reason that it has taken so long to get a VVT-i/VVYL-i controller like they have for v-tec.
  4. unless you get the car tuned from scratch you wont be seeing the best gains, you may not see any at all. This is because each engines VVTL-I is diff, when myself and bill got our Power FC's we put my map on bills car, he made a 1kw gain over the stock ECU....Also the pre and post facelift sportivo's have the same model ECU, we looked into this when i had my power FC fitted. Also with the MWR Maps they are for a US so they will most likely be tuned for alot let then 98RON Fuel...
  5. if you are worried about your warranty then dont even open the bonnet, soon as you modify your car you need to accept that your warranty is gone, cause if you get a hard ***** dealer its as good as gone. Not true! I am fully covered with AAMI, all my mods are disclosed and covered, so long as the parts do not make the car unroadworthy. Normally a pod filter is not acceptable, but being essentially enclosed behind the foglights they are. I also have lowered suspension and front and rear sway bars. I believe Danthuyer has many more mods that are all covered too. all of my mods are covered also, just costs bit more
  6. yes mate i will be there, if you are on the southside we are meeting at sunnybank maccas at 8:30, but give me a call if you need.
  7. you will have to go back and see your dealers
  8. i would be very VERY surprised if you manage to get an intake before the new year as everyone has just about shut up shop for xmas now, but good luck :)
  9. Silver Sportivo parked outside WOW sight and sound at underwood, bout 5:45pm sarvo
  10. you could, but you wont see the same gains you would get with a full CES system
  11. if you are worried about your warranty then dont even open the bonnet, soon as you modify your car you need to accept that your warranty is gone, cause if you get a hard ***** dealer its as good as gone.
  12. ..and jst to clarify- this new CAI will fit straight into the 05 stivo (no mods required, no removal of foggie, no additional piping to fit the filter and foggie etc etc)?? jst want to clarify so i can justify holding off on any CAI plans.. :D thanks!! that is correct
  13. looks like the silver ones are a no go :( the altis is painted on so im assuming some paint stripper or somthing would get it off.
  14. the strut brace dosen't attach to the shock tops, it attaches to the seatbelt anchor point, removing the trim is pretty easy, checkout the workshop section for the documentation the hole that you cut is pretty small as seen here in Daves car http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...arage_mod&id=28 i also have the TRD rear strut brace installed but no pics handy, hope this helps
  15. i cant say too much at this stage are we are still doing R&D, Testing, but i can say they will be cheaper then the TRD intakes, they will also fit the facelift sportivos without need to modify/remove fog lights. They will come in choice of colours, if all goes to plan they will be avalible very early next year.
  16. when i took my c-one wings off to refit them with some new tape/screws i found spiders living inside, needles to say they are dead now, im not gonna have some freeloading no good spiders on my car...
  17. if you want an inatke then you are going to have to shop outside Aus like IZZ-FE said, or you can wait afew weeks as there is going to be a CAI avalible for the corollas that is made here in Aus and will be cheaper then the TRD intakes, if you want an exhaust then talk to CES Racing here in brisbane (www.cesracing.com.au), so far its the ONLY system that has been able to bring the goods. i know im gonan get flamed for saying this but it had come out on top time and time again so dont bother.

  23. if your sportivo is the new face lift model TRD dont make a 'sports grille" because the grille is part of the frton bumper.
