  1. I'd definately recommend trying to get a 6 speed to work in the MR-S The gear ratios for the 5 speed just aren't up to the task. I'd say you'd get between 105-115 kw standard...
  2. I was in Adelaide... my car was stock... I moved to NSW... I could get parts more easilly... now it is not... ;) There isn't really anywhere you can get stuff off the shelf for the Corolla over there. Do some research and pay to get it delivered is the best advice I can give.
  3. Have you got the new car yet? You're always welcome to join in! :D
  4. looks like there is an LSD there and sounds like an aftermarket ECU of some description, as the cam swatch sounds very smooth and very different to standard... also a higher rev limit by the sound of it... nice work Mike... now to get a 1/4 mile time ;) ALSO... A little OT, but still on the same lines not really worthy of a new topic... Does anyone know how to get clips off a DVD so I can post them in you-tube? I got the DVD of the day out at Wakefield Park I'd like to post bits up from :D
  5. he's talking the 1st movie with Paul Walker and Vin Diesel ;)
  6. For small things like the rear bumper lips, they are fine but their stuff is made out of fibreglass and very prone to cracking. If you only want it to last a year or 2 you should be fine (though fitment issues have been known as fibreglass is not as flexible as plastic)
  7. Hate to tell you this Bren, but you'll always be ahead of me :P
  8. I'd just like to point out I have nothing against CES. They are a great company that make supurb products. I wouldn't have bought their exhaust ifI didn't think so. Nor do I have an issue with Brennden, I respect his experience and opinions as always having been in the industry for a long time. I took issue with the way Brennden handled this particular situation, that's all.
  9. I'll be back there for Christmas :D
  10. Am I the only one who thinks George has a right to be agrieved at this. Brennden had no right to even be posting the things he said in the thread in question. It was invalid and completely off topic. OK well it started on topic but then he continued to ramble on about.... you know what, for no reason. There was no arguement to start, George was only asking a legitimate question about how to stop the car from hissing now he changed the headers. As far as I'm concerned the 1st paragraph was legit... the last 2 lines were not needed and well OT... George gave it the reaction it deserved.
  11. Doesn't matter if she indicated of not, she still has to give way to ALL traffic in the lane she is moving into. Buses have right of way when indicating by law... cars do not!!!
  12. Do you have to ask. my guess is his name start and ends with the same letter :P
  13. she is at fault for moving out of her lane... end of story... she should have checked her blind spot, I've nearly done this myself of a number of occasions. Unless the car behind also moved out, in which case it's a questionalble case.
  14. Yes and no... from what I can tell, it uses the cam switch signal from the ECU to do this. You would still require a new relay to be installed to make a shift light that will function at any other time then the cam switch point.
  15. yep... goes like this... sedate, sedate, sedate, sedate, ANGRY!!!!!!

that's awesome man... more pics... Hiaces ROCK!!!
  17. I found the best way was to jack the back of the car up and put it on stands (chock the front wheels so they don't roll) Take the rear wheels off... this will give you clean access to the bolts at the top of the cross-member. use a 19mm socket and take the suckers off (I used my 750mm torque wrench for leaverage) Pull the old bar out and put one side of the new bar in and place the bolt back and secure the top nut so it doesn't fall out. It's now easier to align the 2nd hole. Swing the bar so the 2nd hole is into place and put the other bolt through tighten the bolts with a short socket wrench (for ease in the tight space) then use a longer wrench to tighen it up AS HARD AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN!!!
  18. My worst was the light coming on after ~260km following a day at Wakefield Park. You are hard pressed to do worse then that, if you do, get your car checked out NOW!!!
  19. bah... that's nothing :P I'm waiting on some vids from the track and will post up when I get them :)
