  1. all my arguements are in the 'another accident' thread. I have no idea how many close call I've had like this, it;s very common, even some I've almost caused myself. But please, ALWAYS remenber to check your blind-spot and remember that all other drivers on the road are idiots!!!
  2. Charmaine... I would contribute to the fund to get you this car is Bren was ever to sell it... it is and always will be... beautifully presented
  3. I've got heaps of plates, napkins and cuttlery here left over from a couple of BBQ's we've had a home. I'll bring that along as well something to cook.
  4. if you want reduced brake dust carbon fibre is not an option. It's also very slippery (in the cold) and quite quite dangerous on the street.
  5. Awesome stuff Dave. Bring that 60' down to near 2 seconds with some sticky rubber and with the trap speed you are making low 12s are well in your reach :) the car looks great in the pics too ;)
  6. also... may sound silly but check the lug nuts are tight 1st of all... may not need to do anything at all ;)
  7. Check the swaybar linkages, I had a similar problem and by repostion the swaybar links into a better spot and tightenning everything up it went away. May also be the strut tops. Best bet is just to tighten it all up and see how it goes.
  8. it wasn't just springs... it was a full set of coil-overs, though if you are talking about a certain black sedan, then yes springs...
  9. what you describe is the Zipper effect for 2 converging lanes. A car blocking the road when they are turning right does not signify a convergence of 2 lanes. Blocking a lane with witches hats for road works/accident does however.
  10. is 20 people the ceiling limit set by them, or can we have more to make it cheaper?
  11. Might also be worth looking into Ferodo DS 2500 pads too. Slighty higher rated then the ECB and loss 'spongy', but still comfortable for the street too.
  12. Well last weekend the left strut decided it prefered to have the oil on the driveway instead of inside the insert where it belongs. So now that one has gome back to Just Jap and replaced with a new one now too. They guys have done some ringing of the head office in Japan and apparently there was a batch of inserts that have shown a 30% failure rate over in Asia. It was a one of issue that was resolved but I'm assured that the new inserts are not from this batch, though they suspect that the old ones were. Mine was the 1st in Australia to have 2 struts go. The are just a couple more that have had 1 go. Luck of the draw I guess, but they have given me a 24 month full replacement warranty instead of the standard 12 month, due to the inconvenience.
  13. cool, I'd just like in time for Toyotafest
  14. I'm a possible. I may be in Qld for my brother's 30th birthday though.
  15. there will be a big night down there on the 4th October if you can wait that long ;)
  16. it's a model infront of a photograph ;) hence the reflection
  17. the car behind in only at fault if it occurs in the same lane, ie they should have left adequite distace to brake in a emergency situation to the car infront. If a car pulls into that lane without you being aware (ie filling that gap you have left) that is not your fault because as far as you are concerned there was an adequite gap for you to the car in front, the car coming out of the lane to the left or right is inconsequential.
  18. Hate to tell you this but I don't think they'll meet ADR requirements for a coupe. They need to be able to recline (and rock forward) so people can get in the back
  19. You can should'a, would'a, could'a as much as you want, the court will hear that she moved out of her lane into the path of the other car. Irrespective of weather you have the indicator on of not you STILL have to GIVE WAY. I don't understand how you people can't see that. It's her fault, she (her insurace) will have to pay, I recommend lodging the claim ASAP.
  20. Slip your clutch slightly on the 1-2 change to hold it at the start of lift. that's not going to help with the 5 speed box. The ratios are all out of wack for the 2ZZ.
  21. it's an MR2 convertable with a 2ZZ-GE transplant.
  22. Is the LSD interchangable? I am lead to believe it is... might be worth a try? If not I can recommend the Quaife LSD. It will set you back ~$1300-1500 but needs ZERO servicing and no bedding time unlike the KAAS, Cusco and TRD clutch type units.
