  1. Toymods are already heading out and I was thinking of going along with them. Post in their thread at www.toymods.net (cruises and events section) and if they get enough interest they will arrange a staging lane full of Toyotas :) word of warning though that Street Commos are planning on going that night too (you in Justin?) so might pay to get there early ;)
  2. Reading into that it looks like he may have bought it from the guy in Nowra (or at least somewhere down that way) who had his lisence suspended for 12 months because that is the only Sportivo I know that has had 2 engine changes (info uncovered on Toymods from similar thread). They seam to think it may be a result of the new engine being installed slightly incorrectly... The plot thickens...
  3. For pads the Bendix Advance have very little brake dust.
  4. KKs in Sydney sell single flavoured donuts for $2.50 but a dozen (12) for $14.90... I am convinced they are the reason I've put on weight the last 12 months. Everytime I go in there I think 'I'll just pick up 4, 2 for me and 2 for the little Miss' then I think 'that's $10... for a few $$ extra I can get a whole 'nother 8'... need I say more...

    Ciao

Good Luck Craig... enjoy the wedded life, I've definately enjoyed the banter the last couple of years. Cheers for all your help, we'll keep this place in good shape, don't you worry ;)
  6. they are actually pretty quick in a straight line given the extra torque, but aren't as balanced in the turns.
  7. I had a really great link from Wiki, I'll see if I can dig it up... EDIT: here it is... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V12 it says V12 but at the bottom is a box which has all the piston engine configurations you can imagine with pros and cons of each, ie why straight 6 is better balanced then V6...
  8. except for the toro rosso which is running a restricted and rev limitted Cosworth V10 and the ex Jaguar chassis (ie last years Red Bull) as the V8 is more compact they have been able to sculpt the bodywork better so there is less drag now with
  9. wooo hooo another AEM for Sydney :) if you need help with the unstall Bill, just let me know, but I reakon you should be sweet with it, you're pretty cluey
  10. Just because it's cheaper doesn't mean it's not 100% synthetic. There are many 100% synth engine oils around the $50 for 5L mark
  11. Reminder "noted" :) P.S. reminder for you to deposit the money thru. ;) reminder to you that I've already done it :P
  12. I have an understanding that I am alowed to be late on Monday mornings... :) was suprised by the lack of pace of the Toyotas though. They were even behing the Midland (sister engined car) at one stage. Not a good start for the factory team... But a great start for Renault and Ferrari, Honda not bad but reliabilty poor. Williams also performed pretty well and very quick!!!
  13. Cheers for that Ben, I'll take it up with Toyota before the warranty lapses :)
