  1. I've been using 100RON since coming back from Qld. I'm going back to Vortex 98 as I haven't seen much improvement and it's about 6c/L cheaper. but to answer your question about fuel over here, most corolla drivers (the everyday ones) use 91RON most here use 95RON premium and some use 98RON. Most of the 2ZZ-GE drivers use 98 RON.
  2. Yay it's finally up and running again I'm safe :)
  3. 119.8... still yet to break 120!!! it was about 33 degrees yesterday, but 22 degrees the week before when Dave ran before the Dyno had it's electrical breakage so would have been close had they been run back to back plus they ran my car in 3rd instead of 4th so cannot overlay on my old runs for comparison (even though it would mean nothing) Dave made 120.9 last week, quite a bit down on the 128.5 or so he made last Dyno Day. a 4A-GE 20V sprinter (the guys who cam out last dyno day would know the car) made 133.4 kW to smash Daves <1.8L record too... not the greatest day for the 2ZZs
  4. but it can be easilly MADE to fit ;) as many members of the forum can attest to
  5. The Project corolla was built year ago, maybe 12 months before the Sportivo came out
  6. I can sent you the original map if you like Craig... Plus I'm out for tonight, petrol can only last for the trip up to Sydney tomorrow for Dyno Day... :(
  7. I would imagine this could be slotted onto an SRI and piped to the front, or to the top of the bonnet (eddys form in the gutter between the bonnet and the windscreen, hence why the AC intake is there too) for cold air. :)
  8. DISCLAINER: just make sure you shift at the right point, down from 2nd @ 5200 will slot into 1st @ just over 6000 ie lift zone... if you try and slot in from above 6000 you will run the risk of overreving the engine which will mean $$$$$ if anything breaks up there...
  9. that would be the exact same part as I have so it fit's very nicely, very nicely indeed :D AEM all the way :)
  10. Toymods Dyno day 12 came to an abrupt end last Sun as the Dyno broke (electrical, not mechanical) so Dyno day 12.5 is proposed for this Saturday morning to finish of the entries and get others to run. but here's the info for anyone interesed... Myself and Bill (Xoom) were left high and dry on Sunday myself as the unfortunate sap still on the rollers, but Dave (screaminrolla) managed to put some numbers down, though not quite what was expected. here's the into off the Toymods site: http://www.toymods.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1799 Dyno Day 12.5 With the Dyno crapping itself today, a lot of people didn't get a chance to turn the rollers and compete at our January Dyno day. It was a shame to bring the day to a close early but we have had a good run so far. (It was Dyno day 12 and up till now we haven't even had rain) Of the 20 cars who had registered but couldn't run, only 5 were happy to come back next Sat if it was finished then. So the question is..... Who would compete if we finished dyno day 12 next saturday. ? Only reply here if you will DEFINITELY be attending and running on the Dyno. We will only be holding Dyno day 12.5 if we have a minimum of 20 People to compete. We will check this thread on Wed afternoon to see the numbers.
  11. mine slides nicely into 1st too landing on lift in 1st on a down change going up a mountain pass through 15km/h signposted hairpin switchbacks is serious fun :o :o :D :D
  12. let me guess, your corolla is white and you bought it off a guy called Justin... :P Anyway, let us know when you take it out to Wakefield as I'm always up for a run. My stivo is lapping in 1:17s with only lowering (on stock shocks) + AEM CAI and CES racing exhaust. Can I ask wher you picked up the Cusco front strut brace (or it that in the Rex?) as I saw one on E-bay a while back but could not afford it at the time and haven't seen once since. It's the best looking one I've seen :).
  13. As are most aussie cars! Holden, ford! yep and I hate them too :P

  15. I know of 3 sportivos in the Silverwater area slightly earlier in the day, but didn't see that corolla :P
