  1. BBQ at Craigs Brendon - sequential posting is not allowed!!!
  2. I like it just the way it is... I've said it before, if I wanted 2 doors I would have got the Citroen Xsara VTS (The new C4 VTS is now looking pretty tempting too I might add :D )
  3. At least the ones that know what they are talking about Marcus... I had one guy want to fit, 205/40r17 to mine I obviously didn't go back there!!! also what about BF Goodrich??? Zee - I can confirm that is the price Bob Jane quoted me, no wonder you stuck with 16's. <_<
  4. I had 1 key left in the holding yard, it took them 3 days to find it but I have all my keys now. Don't wait for them to contact you either, sometimes it helps to give them a nudge every noe and then. Nunawading Toyota is one of the largest in Aus and I'm sure you are one of 100s of people they deal with every day, so give them a little credit.
  5. hehe.. now there are 2 siligrls :P :P :P
  6. OK, firstly is this for the Circuit-Club tract day? Secondly what mods do you already have...??? Circuit Club have an award for stock runners. If you have a Sportivo, the standard break pads do not fade easilly, are extremely hard, but the discs have been prone to warping from seriously hard driving. For Circuit-Club it is more important to put one good lap together rather then a series (though this does help with flow) so you may not even need tyres either, depending on current condition. Personally my fronts took a beating last time out at Wakefield, more so from incorrect tyre pressure though, I was running at street pressure when I should have upped the pressure to compenste from inceased softening and expansion from the heat of 'racing'. I suggest running your car stock and then getting a personal view on what you feel needs changing according to your driving style. But if you want to go to Semi's, do it!!! But do it all round, you don't want to unbalance the car, and also make sure they corrently balance the tyres when fitted, because if you find them out of balance on the track it is too late and you'll not only have an unsafe car but you'll wear out the tyres too fast. So test them out before you go and get a rebalance if required. Everyone drives differently as far as breaking, turn-in, acceleration etc. I feel it better for you to learn your car on the track, know it's feel, and then make changes... Circiut days will come again, wasted money on un-needed components will not. My personal view (shared with others) is that the suspension is actually more important to get right for the track at this stage then the brakes... But like I said, learn the car and get a feel for what you think needs to be improved!!! Cheers my 2 + 2 + 2 = 6 cents Dylan
  7. An RX8 shoot-off would definately be interesting... Come on Stu...
  8. Looks like we'll get a good turn out on the 30th then... I'll do my best to be there :D I really should buy a helmet so i don't have to keep hiring crappy, stinky, used ones... :P
  9. As pointed out before, these are for cars purchased NEW and does not include grey imports... There is also a disclaimer stating that the list is not definative and to check with the local authorities. Could you imagine how long the list would be if all cars ever produced were put onto a list like that????
  10. don't you mean 95RON (Premium Unleaded) You will also find that 98RON is ~4c/l more expensive then 95RON. The test performed was not that controlled but the RACV is performing a more extensive test on a number of claims of hi-RON fuel such as increased mileage and reduced wear. You will also find the 98RON was 3km down the road from the 91RON with the 95RON 1km further then the 98RON. I'll still wait for the RACV test before my final judgement, I often find fault in the ACA and Today Tonight testing methods. What was also interesting what that on Mythbusters last night they also tested a comparison of driving with the A/C on and with the window down... What was found was that when monitoring Air/Fuel ratio to compare air in too fuel used then the windows down used more fuel. However, when they tested just driving the cars with 5 gallons (it's an American show) of fuel the one with the A/C stopped 30 miles earlier then the one with the windows open. This test was more controlled then the ACA one as they used a speedway circuit to drive on where they could run at a constant 35 miles per hour, where as the ACA one they used a set course of corners and hills etc which would differ according to driving stile (even though they changed drivers between the cars the time spent in each would have varied as when you do the sums, the driver finishes in the car with considerably less time behind that wheel, as they only swapped twice)
