I wonder if you'll be able to do the same as if they set up a Buser down the road from the party you are at and walk down and ask for a test to make sure you are OK to drive prior to getting in the car and driving home (if they refuse you are entitled to argue that RBT's are designed to save lives and not act as a revinew raiser). Maybe not though because you'll actually have to take the car to them in this case..?

Yeah I tryed the IGA trick once too but with the increased shelf price they have the $2 a tank saving gets eaten away in no time... To answer the question on 98 RON 1 tank and normal Unleaded for a couple and back to 98 RON, this may work well for a standard 1ZZ rolla but for the Sportivo anything less the 94 RON is detrimental to the engine and CANNOT be used. You will also find as 1ZZ-FE stated I think, I not going back to look after all of sport1vo's cr@p (cheers for that Dude!!! <_< [sarchasm]) 98 RON detonates slower then 91 and 94 RON so has a benifit of lower fuel consumption so the extra $2 you spend to fill the tank with the better quality fuel pays for itself in the long run through the life of the tank...

Or you can travel 1/2 the distance south to the gong for the same thing :P . Just kidding, but many of us aren't too keen on freeways, too many other cars and too many coppers ... But the old Pacific is always a nice drive, go the twisties... :D

Personally I think that BAR got off lightly and honestly expected them to be thrown out for the rest of the season, or at least able to run with no point so as not to interfere with the min 20 race cars on the grid (but what would be the point). The evidence against them was quite stong and 5kg below min weight is a lot. On the plus side they now have 6 weeks of open testing time to re-engineer the fuel tank so that is conforms. On Ferreris side, Buddah is absolutely right, there is nothing written that dictates how much time you can spend testing. The 30 day sgreement is only verbal and between the 9 other team it is not official. The reason Ferrari is claiming they can test more is for tyres. Bridgestone gets 1/3 the data of Michilen and as Minardi and Jordan/Midland do next to no testing Ferrari is the only test platform they have, so it is actually Bridgestone doing the testing and not Ferrari. As Ferrari will tell you they need not test the car, the car is great, the Bridgestones have been the issue so far this season!!! The advantage Ferrari had at Imola is that it is one of their test circuits and Luca Badoer and Mark Gene did a lot of mileage there prior to the start of the season so Bridgestone new the surface well and had better data then Michilen for a change.

who told you that? SHELL??? RON is not a measure of the amount of octane it is actually a measure of the rate of detonation of the fuel (how else do you get 100-110 RON fuels???). What Shell does to raise the octane rating of it's petrol is add Toluene to it's 94 RON premium, BP Ultimate is refined to 98 RON not altered post production to that level...

best to search this topic but I use BP Ultimate since it has been available to be here in Wollongong, thinking about changing to Caltex Vortex 98 to see the difference and get the 4c/l discount from Woolies. I now refuse to use Shell Optimax...

agreed, you have a wider track for more rubber which is good, but less flex in the sidewalls which is bad...

I'm very suprised she never found a blue hand brake grip, gear stick boot, dash mat or even a fluffy steering wheel cover, you know how hot that sun gets in Gladstone!!! :P Personally I'd rather contrast it with Red, Yellow, orange (golden) or Silver, but that's my personal opinion...

The rules are different in the different states... the best way is to get on to the local Road and Traffic Autority, Dept of Motor Vehicles or whatever the relevent title is in your state and ask them the question about what you wish to mod, these days most basic bolt on mods are OK, but always best to make sure.

"Monster Truck" is acceptable, I think Sport1vo was filling in the gap between *W*A*N*K* and Monster Truck with Viagra but I don't really think it needs it, but it still works, in a round about way, an a lot of the associated words so far have been contentious, but the idea is for it to be a personal view-point so if for the poster the word fits... let it be and follow with the next word... now play nice!!! I did say it was for 'international series' but true, it does get coverage on SpeedWeek but usually 3 weeks after the event and the races are editted. Back on the topic on Super GT though can I also point out that there has been an Australian representative driving in that series ever since Wayne Gardner (Mr 100%) went over there in the late 90's to race with mixed success and we STILL have no coverage of this series ANYWHERE!!!
