  1. In regards to the problems with filling up... it's due to the rate at which the tank is being filled. with certain cars...the design is pretty crap..thus you will get a lot of fuel being 'bottle-necked' at the top...thus this will cause the bowser to think that your tank is full. To overcome this problem..simply don't squeeze the handle so hard..and ease the fuel into the the tank...not force it down it's throat....or the 'car' will just choke. You can also change the angle at which the nozzle is positioned into your tank. Oh, and in regards to how many KM's a tank..i get between 530-600km a tank. That's with varied driving. More lift..less km. Hope this helps. -Chris

  5. Just a suggestion: i reckon you could remove the "http://" part. Sorta obvious...but it looks more modern without it. in my opinion. Just a suggestion... ;) -Chris

  9. weird.....no.....very weird....yes.
  10. Richmond Sydney. When i went to Melbourne..i was like..."HEY! they got Richmond here too!" -Chris
  11. My Stivo has done 8,500km and still doesn't rev to 8,200rpm. I have never seen my needle perfectly align with the 8,000rpm thick line. :( -Chris
  12. Hey Mike, i work in Richmond too! Live in Kellyville but. Where abouts in Windsor do you work? South Windsor? or McGraths Hill way? (Small world!) -Chris
  13. GZE_Bandit: Where abouts did you read this? I've visited all of the above mentioned companies and gone through and found out that info. I'm pretty sure it's 98 RON. Unless Shell is not telling the truth about their product. would a company do that.....NO WAY!! haaha I can send you the PDF on Optimax if you want. -Chris
  14. oh yeah! not to forget! T-Sport was also there. With his BRAND NEW STIVO! Less than 1,000km on the clock and already doing stages. hahah Good stuff Aaron! Meet up soon and see how we go again. Keen on the Singleton via Putty Rd cruise on the 17th with Team GODspeed? PM me if you are. -Chris
  15. I've done a bit of research in regards to fuels. Hope this info helps. Caltex Vortex: 95 RON / 85 MON Shell Optimax: 98.4 RON / ? BP Ultimate: 98 RON / ? Mobil 8000: 98 RON / ? Premium Unleaded: 95 RON / ? RON = Research Octane Number MON = Motor Octane Number -Chris
  16. I found the stock Sportivo lights. Quite sufficient actually. Compared to most cars out there...the sportivo is well lit and does the job well. Those PIAA lights...what does it actually do? Just makes everything brighter??? Do they actually use the same Watts as the book says, or does it use a HIGHER wattage? Any pics of how they look like at night? I did think about changing the lights...but...i'm pretty happy with them. i'll let them blow before replacing...which will take a while...oh wells. Maybe they'll have the BMW type lights out or even a HID kit for the car by then. -Chris
  17. hahaha! Don't stress orrock...you won't get kicked/banned. You're not one of 'those' members....hehe it's cool dude. ;)
  18. I have my GOLF BALL (Stivo) serviced at the dealer. I trust my dealer a fair bit...and they try to help me as much as possible. i feel sorry for them, because they have to put up with the 'characteristic' Faults of the Sportivo....as Toyota refuses to help us out. -Chris
  19. If you check under your BUILD PLATE, it'll tell you where the car was manufactured. Sportivo's originate from South Africa... <_< And most of the other Corolla's come from Japan :D -Chris
  20. Yeah...whilst i was overseas....i noticed that there weren't any hatches...at all! i was trying to point out to a friend what my car looked like..but couldn't...coz all they had were sedans. Interesting...must be a trend thing. Some countries like hatches...and some don't. (also applies to station wagons) -Chris
  21. i doubt it would solve the problem. It would more likely reduce the time to get to the problem between shifts. hehe...because you're shifting shorter. The short shifter doesn't change the gates within the gear box, it merely changes the movement of the stick from one gear to the next. It's the gates that make it notchy...correct me if i'm wrong. -Chris
  22. Because the Celica is able to Rev to 8,600rpm...this allows the driver to land in lift....easily! Look at how much he landed in lift. Plenty to spare. Sharmz: Do you have any more details as to the modifications done to the car? Completely stock maybe? heheh -Chris
  23. Who said this topic was ****** me off? I sure didn't. hmm...looks like YOU assumed. Wrong again. This topic doesn't ***** me off. It's interesting to see what other people looked at and what their opinions were before buying the Sportivo. You need to overdose on some 'Chill Pills'. Sorry, but as some of us members already know, your attitude within this forum isn't the most constructive. Who died and made you critic as to whether or not someone's car is crap? Think.....slowly...before saying/typing anything. If you have a problem with this, i'll be more than happy to sort it out. PM me and it'll definately get sorted. -Chris
  24. illuminati: are you actually going to buy a car? Or are you just saying you 'will'. You've been saying the same thing for months now and still...last time i read, you said you were going to buy a Stivo the other weekend. Or are you just dribbling...as usual...?
