  1. Just lower it more if u wanna get rid of the gap, it's sitting pretty high still. Most people including myself drive daily a few cm off the ground. Grow a pair :P
  2. On the earlier ZZE models before DBW was used, is there a DIY on how to tighten the throttle cable? I played around with it and got it a bit tighter than before, but it only gets to a certain point before i can't spin the nut as it spins the whole cable assembly. Want it a bit tighter but not sure how to hold the cable still
  3. Not really a mistake, cheap ***** chinese camera one of the connectors was a bit funky. Would flicker on and off if i played around with the connectors, only noticed it through the car as i was playing with cords in the back trying to figure it out. Ended up snipping and just straight twist+tape everything lol Two cameras, both with dodgy connector plugs... this is where quality control should come in haha
  4. Oh okay mine was a different problem, also very stupid. Glad you figured it out bud
  5. Waste of time installing them if you cant even notice a difference
  6. I actually installed my reverse camera a few hours ago and had the same problem. Might be same as yours. Ill msg u when I get home
  7. I may be selling my Levin front lip if you're interested. Will fit your 02 ascent
  8. Yeah they'll fit your pre-face. Koni super lows? You mean king super lows? I find that super lows is WAY too high... I was very disappointed after I had installed them For cheapass spec i'd go for a custom height spring (at least 3" drop) from Jumbo or KMAC. Or coilovers. King springs are too soft, handles like sh!t
  9. I assume you're talking about the guard liners? You can get them from any wrecked ZZE corolla. Plenty around, go wreckers as last option. Most people will give them to you for free if they're not stingy or else peanuts
  10. What pulsar mate? And how does the camry compare to it?
  11. Haha, but you have to admit... the quality of rides on JDMST is very high for such a young community. Young money cash money
  12. Who said i'm hating? It's just not my cup of tea, but it's your car. There's lots of 'ebay looking' mods whacked on, makes it look like a typical untastefully modified P plater car. Just saying you could have spent the money on a few quality mods instead, would look and handle/perform much better i.e. proper suspension setup (coilovers, sways, struts, adjustable arms and alignment), decent lightweight wheels, I/H/E/F/C+tune etc etc Have a look over on JDMST and make a build thread there to get real feedback. No offence, but TOCAU doesn't have many real car enthusiasts, you'll get much better honest responses on JDMST rather than on here where everyone just thinks 20" sexspec advantis and king springs are the best thing since sliced bread End of the day, your car. Don't be so myopic to think that everyone that doesn't praise your choice of mods is a hater. There's no one right way to do things, but I don't think i'm wrong in saying that better fitment, power and handling is a bad thing.
  13. Surely you've got a screwdriver somewhere. Pull the leads out one by one, shove the screwdriver metal end in the lead and hold it near bare metal such as your engine and check for sparks when engines running If all the leads are working, then check plugs if you can get hold of spark plug socket. Pull them out and just hold the spark plug (connected to lead) on bare metal and see if the plug is sparking Leave the dizzy til later, don't wanna open up that can of worms. Can't visually inspect if most things in there are shagged or not anyway
  14. I think you misunderstood me. Some major brands do outsource their production to countries with lower labour costs however their items are still expensive as shiet because they have good quality control measures in place. In regards to OBX and how they are able to keep their prices low, it's because they have a larger QC allowance range. That and they use inferior materials to cut costs. Greater variation in their product quality
  15. Well OBX items are manufactured in taiwan with cheaper materials, so you can expect quality (and quality control) to be crap. Thus one persons experience with them will be different to another since it's really luck of the draw if you get a good one or not
  16. Thanks Jeff :) Also I'm thinking of getting 19s what tyre size would you recommend? What width? Guessing something like a 19x8.5, 19x9 around there? Something around 235/40/19?
  17. Did you test to see if all 4 spark plugs were sparking? If not, could be an ignition lead or dizzy shagged up if it feels like misfiring Otherwise, clean out idle sensor, throttle body etc if it's just idling rough
  18. What wheels? rota grids? varrstoens?
