  1. AFAIK the ATX and Sportivo variants have the tow bar hole cut out of the bumper. You'll have trouble sourcing something.
  2. I'm using a stock headunit with USB input. I just piggybacked a line out converter across all 4 channels, leaving the original wiring in. It sounds okay but you will lose bass above 40-60(max). Note you have six speakers: Rear parcel shelf, front doors and in your dash just under the windscreen. I believe they are 2" speakers with a in-line capacitor to run high frequency. They run in parallel off the front speakers. Mine are stock. For the front 6x9's you're gonna need some MDF to mount on. I used 1/4" MDF mounted to the door frame, followed by a 3/4" MDF oval to give me a total of 1" clearance from the window. I have 3 3/16" (3.2") top mount depth speakers in. No issues with clearance/door trim. The rear speakers will hit the plastic cover so use something like 1/4inch MDF to make the baffle plates, and just watch out for the boot springs. No issues with parcel shelf cover/boot clearance. Here's what my front door looks like ;) http://instagram.com/p/b_BJhhAJ6o/#
  3. Liquid LPG Injection ;) 5-10% power gain. http://www.smithyslpg.com.au/Default.aspx?SiteID=LPG-Automotive-Services&ref=Liquid-Injection-System
  4. Your engine should be alright as long as you didn't keep running it without oil. The hose you got circled is the aircon hose (correct me if im wrong) which shouldn't leak motor oil. The leak is most likely coming from the oil cooler hose which happened to me two months ago. You will find the hoses joined to the oil filter housing under the aircon hoses. Heres my video: http://instagram.com/p/hZzF6lAJ02/# The fault with mine was with a 90 degree bend in the hose which had a pin hole. Toyota do not sell these anymore as they have revised the part. Frankston Toyota quoted $220. I repaired it with a 90 degree brass fitting and two straight hoses. These leaks are common with the 2007 Aurion as they used low quality hoses. I checked the 2008 Aurion and it has improved hoses. The 2013 Aurion runs a complete metal oil cooler pipes. Best to check the VVTI oil pipe too to make sure it is the improved hose (yellow line marking on the hose). Hope this helps :)
  5. 1) Make sure you got the rods to hang the muffler on both sides. The Camry and Aurion kits are different. The Camry kit will bolt in, but you'll have to weld some rods for the twin mufflers. You will also need to cut your rear bumper. 2) I bought the eBay controller, yet to try it out... 3) You cannot piggyback your trailer lights off the tail light relays as you'll blow the fuses. You will need to purchase the controller. The genuine Toyota yow plug kit is about $150.
  6. I wouldn't be too worried about it. There's probably no reason to take it back if its happened just once. Get yourself an OBD2 reader (cheap as chips), and get "Torque" on your phone. You will be able to easily get the fault codes out and see real time stats of the engine. I'm pretty sure Toyota will charge you a fee just to pull the fault codes.
  7. Without a OBD2 reader, you wont know exactly what happened. The lights will come on when the car misfires, Air fuel etc...
  8. I have a black interior (carpet + seats) and a dark stone colour mats.
  9. By sticking the TRD S/C kit in I mean buy a write off ;)
  10. The current "kit" I am aware of is the HKS and the TOMS S/C kit for the 2GR in the Lexus IS350, at a cost of $10-15K+ which you look into. However the Aurion is FWD so I dont think it would be a direct bolt-in. Your best bet is getting a TRD S/C and sticking that in. Best to check the FAQ's for this. Anything else would be a custom job.
  11. Okay, just posting for anyone who may want to know: I just finished welding and installing the genuine Camry tow bar to a 07 Aurion ATX. The Camry tow bar is the same as the Aurion, however the Camry tow bar is missing the passenger side exhaust hanger. As the Aurion has two mufflers, two bent bolts/rods welded in place will do the job. Everything else bolts up exactly the same.
  12. I was wondering if anyone can shed some light regarding the 2006-2011 Genuine Camry Towbar? It appears to me that the genuine Camry Towbar is exactly the same as the Aurion's, with minor modifications. As the Aurion has dual exhaust mufflers, I think the only thing that is different is the exhaust hanger rod from one of the Towbar assembly plates. The passenger side is missing. It'll only take 2 minutes to weld a bent rod onto the assembly plate to hang the left muffler, and it seems that the Camry Towbar is more common in used sales ;) Is anyone able to confirm this?
  13. You don't need a charger. If your car can crank and start, your alternator will charge the battery under everyday driving. You could check the water level if it's not a sealed battery and top it up to the indicators.
  14. I cant tell the difference. Had a 1mz-fe Camry on gas (Apollo throttle intake system) and have use all brands. They're all the same. Now I am driving an Aurion with Orbital Liquid Injection and cannot tell a difference again. Ive used BP/Shell/Independents/Mobil etc... Whatever is cheapest :D
  15. Anyone swapped out their aurion alloy rims with aftermarkets and want to sell? i'm looking for 17/18" alloys with +80% tyres located in Vic. [edit] nevermind, picked up evo rims
  16. Endless amounts of blutac! (or equivalent :D) Just fill the voids so it sticks to the parcel shelf and body to absorb any vibration, and in between the clips that hold the shelf down. I did this in my Gen5 and it worked surprisingly well.
