  1. On a seperate side note and I know this will probably dissapoint John but I have in fact said goodbye to the Rukus as of a week ago, its been a good run but ultimately I wanted something quicker and faster.
  2. Hi Mate Great looking :) may I ask who you chose for the coilovers?
  3. How could u John, we trusted you :P Well maybe next meet we should do a cruise seeing as it's going to be the last meet of the year? Anyone up for a cruise or have any suggestions of places they'd like to go. We've done the following previously (to my knowledge): 1) Hunter Valley 2) Kangaroo Valley 3) National Park > Stanwell Tops > Kiama Blowhole > Roberstons Pie Shop
  4. Liking the gold/bronze wheels on white, just needs to be lowered so it's not on stilts :P any plans to lower it?
  5. Count me in :)
  6. Hi Mate Try hitting up http://www.jeffmillsautoservice.com.au/our-location.html
  7. Hi All Last Saturday of the month is the 27th, unfortunately I'll be busy that night and the following long weekend but given it's toyotafest on the 5th of October might be worthwhile for you guys to head out there? Alternatively you guys can organise a regular meet up on Saturday the 27th at 7:30pm :)
  8. Link to gumtree ad or approx cost?
  9. Nice drive fellas :) was a good weekend all around
  10. It's alright mate there's always our usual monthly meets :)
  11. LOL Cam I'm still cleaning up the mess from the last time I went for a ride in your Mark II, scared the bejesus outta me. Does anyone have locations in terms of stopping lunch etc? just want to throw up a route map to make it easy for everyone. Also if anyone has CV radios or walkies please bring along makes it a lot easier to co-ordinate :P If anyone is going to be late just text or call me on 0411983777
  12. Not fussed about dates :) 1. Juvenile - Sun 2. rentaspace 3.Crypt 4. 5.
  13. Hi there Welcome to the forums :) Congrats on the purchase of rukus sure you'll love it Question 1) From the dealership I only ever received 2 smart keys not physical keys as such, but if you havent worked it out yet the portion of the smart key that you can attach to your key chain actually comes out :) if you're looking at the toyota badge on your smart key on the right hand side there is a rubber portion with what looks like a key on it, if you push down on that while pulling out the rubber portion on the bottom of the smart key a physical one will come out :) Question 2) My car is also a 2010 build 1 and I've recently had to replace the batteries as the smart handles werent working, the hardest part of replacing it will be sourcing the battery but actually replacing it is easy, using the above process to take out the key you'll note that at the end of it is a flat portion and where you've taken out the key there is one hole where the key came from and a slight indent to the side of it, place the flat portion of the actual key into that indent and twist :) Question 3) Given i drive my car every day i would suggest every 3-4 years, but luckily batteries are fairly cheap (Ebay) Goodluck!
  14. Nice Caldina :) Just a quick question, did you go through an imported or did you do it by yourself? also roughly how long did it take?
  15. If you want to do this you coud like mentioned above tap into the parker lights but I'm assuming you'd want to tap into something in the dash rather than the engine bay, try and locate an online wiring diagram as it might save you from using a volmeter
  16. Nice looking toaster :P
  17. Two different ways depending on how I interprit your sentence, if you want the lights to come on when your dash dims(?) for night time you'd be best off tapping into the parker lights in the engine bay as when they're on your dash should dim, for a ground you could source somewhere in the engine bay or tap into the negative of the parkers. If you just want them on when you start the car then all you need to do is find a 12v source that turns on and off whith the ignition, fuse box is usually a good place to start (if you can't find a wiring diagram grab a voltmeter :)) Hope that helps
  18. Bugga.... We might still receive a updated Rumion? That's what I'm hoping for, the car is still quite popular in Japan so here's hoping that we still get them :) On a side note I also read somewhere that the Nissan Cube had been axed by Nissan (take that as you want :P)
  19. LOL I thought someone might interprit it as such :P thankfully no mine has got a lot of life left in it, as much as I want a Caldina every time I walk away and look at it I can't bring myself to sell it.
  20. So reading over some autoblogs today and noticed that Scion in the US is primed to axe the XB, given the size of the American market I wouldn't assume it'd far stretch to assume the Australian model Rukus may also face the axe (time will tell :() http://www.autoblog.com/2012/04/23/scion-xb-xd-models-getting-the-axe/
  21. That sounds good, are you going? any idea where they might be meeting up?
  22. So other than Ryan and Cam is anyone else coming? If not we can just have a normal meet at night as I need to work on my car anyway (got some DRL's I'd like to Install)
  23. Can someone please let me know if this works by the way, for some reason it doesn't load normally for me? Ideally the meet up location should be Thornleigh McDonalds
  24. Updated Meet up location to Thornleigh McDonalds as it's an easier departure point. https://www.google.com.au/maps/dir/220%2F226+Pennant+Hills+Rd,+Thornleigh+NSW+2120/Hunter+Valley+Gardens,+Broke+Road,+Pokolbin+NSW+2320/@-33.0135914,151.1565265,12z/data=!4m19!4m18!1m10!1m1!1s0x6b12a7035bdcc1eb:0x51948fb6b9b7b45f!2m2!1d151.0832573!2d-33.7296377!3m4!1m2!1d151.1053741!2d-32.7554096!3s0x6b0cc65c7fd9f83b:0x130609b472ffb2e1!1m5!1m1!1s0x6b0cca923c83f175:0xa3b53d1042afed70!2m2!1d151.297091!2d-32.772463!3e0
  25. Right All, next meet up will be a cruise. I'm looking for expressions of interest at this stage (if not enough interest is gained it'll just be a regular meet). My plan is for all of us to meet up at GreenAcre McDonalds (need suggestions on other meet up locations as I remember the last time we did this we met up at a different McDonalds), then we drive up the M1 (or F1) to Wollombi stopping at route 33 cafe (if it's still there), then after a break we'll push up to Hunter Valley Gardens in Polkobin. Route map is below, planning to meet up at 9am for a 9:30am departure. Please let me know who's keen :)
