  1. Looks like a 6/71 blower on a chev v8 in a split window chopped top Kombi that prolly weighs about 750 - 800 kgs. I have a mate who is doing a Kombi for the salt flats but using a heavily modded VW motor. It should be quick!!!
  2. My guess is that when your wife hit the gutter that she has inflicted a impound fracture to the side wall where the nylon cords etc in the side wall are fractured and it creates a weak spot in the wall. the tyre seem fine and looks ok but will gradually leak out through the soft spot in the side wall. This may also happen quickly(tyre goes flat quick) as Sportiv found out when his car was at my house. It went dead flat over night and when stripped off the rim you could see some sort of side wall fracture that was causing the leak. :( Damm shame as the tyre still had plenty of life left in it. ;)
  3. ;) ....Puts hand up!!(ahh hang on a SP23 did you say? No thanks I have already obliterated at least 3 of those things and with the price of fuel these days it's just not worth it.) B) B) B) B) B) B) B) B) B) B) B)
  4. [quote=shaohaok,Dec 6 2005, 01:39 PM the car is still around! i dun have it anymore, but i can tell u where it is :P I do too... spends a lot of time under my house and at my southside "home away from home!!" And in a Toyota dealer workshop
  5. I do believe Azza that Danthuyer now has another purse to store his crown jewels in as you do ;)
  6. My words exactly!! Mother's leather cleaner/conditioner is also a good one to use and is easy to apply. :D
  7. Go with a rear sway bar, TRD rear strut brace, and a CAI. TRD are the only ones who make a rear strut brace for the corolla. As for the sway bar and CAI take your pick from multiple suppliers. :D
  8. Sounds like a simple flat battery. ;) The clicking noise is the starter doesn't have enough power to turn the engine over. When voltage drops below a certain level the starter clicks(the noise you stated) which saves you from burning out your starter motor. It won't engage the solenoid therfore it won't turn the motor over. :D
  9. You'd be surprised just how close a Stivo in the right hands can get to knocking off a Gen 3 SS. ;) I know how close :D
  10. I have a list of a certain few cars that I would love to own. 1957 Chev 2 door fully restored in a midnight blue/white pearl. 1956 Karmann Ghia red of course! 1954 Split Window Kombi for sentimental reasons. :D Porsche 356a speedster VW Golf R32 cause I wouldn't have to do much to it!!(but would do it anyway ) Honda S2000 for my wife ;) And my 1976 Kombi fully restored in XR6 orange with Lexus white pearl roof and the engine just the way i want it(350hp for that 13 sec quarter :) )

  15. Mate just using you as an example to others and my post is not just aimed at you. ;) If you have changed your posting ways then that's gonna make a lot of people happy. :D Good for you ;)

  18. What do you call this???????????? If Sunny asked you to jump off a cliff and post ridiculously uninformative stuff like you do....would you???? Mate just give the "I've gotta post in this topic or that topic cause somebody else did" a break. <_< Guys this only one example and if you feel offended by this then you may be doing the same. :o If you have something constructive or have a legit question to ask then please ask or just simply read. ;) Those of us here who have considerate mechanical ability and knowledge can see through those who "claim to know a lot" by what you post and the manner in which you post. ;) Please lets keep this forum 100% informative about our cars and also make it easy to find the answer to your question without having to wade through pages of sh!te to find a snippet of what your looking for. :D Thank you Silvabullit. :D
  19. Sorry guys this thread will be closed if the talk of "Street Racing" doesn't stop. sorry to be a killjoy but they are the rules. :(
  20. the record i've ever heard was 650-700 in a tank. poor sod never revved it past 3000rpm just so he could win a bet or something with the wife. ← I got 691km to a tank and drove the car like I usually do. Sometimes fast somtimes cruising. ;) That was only on optimax. As soon as shell can ge their act together and have extreme at the bowser when they advertise it i'll get some. Always sold out
  21. I have contacts in the clothing industry that may be of use to make shirts and have them printed. We need to make sure we get permission from companies to use their logo's etc otherwise it'll hit the fan in a big way. :( Let me know what your looking for style wise and I'll get some prices :D
  22. Fit a trigger nozzle to your garden hose and it's legal to wash your car. Same rules apply in Qld. I would much rather wash my car at home than at any of the automated car washes or self serve car washes. They recycle the water and to get the water to a safe uasble level they pump it full of chemicals then you spray it all over your car and there goes your glossy paintwork. I've had to buff quite a few cars that were regulars at car washes and the chemical polluted water just oxidizes the paint badly and it's a hell of a job to get the paint work up to scratch again. Just a word of warning to all you car wash users; it will wreck your paintwork!!! If the owner/manager of the car wash can't give you a written guarantee that it won't then I know I wouldn't be using it.
  23. Yes it is BUT for PRE-FACELIFT Sportivo's only. Post facelifts amy be done at a later date. :D
