  1. How can they compare 2 door sports cars with 4 door sedans? I agree with most of the marks the Stivo received except for the one for standard features and think the performance mark could be a little higher.If you've driven a MX5 or a Mini you'll know why...

  3. Depends on what your car needs. Most don't need a machine buff only just a hand buff or cut and polish(whatever you call it). But you can achieve the same result either way if that is all your car needs. But if the paint needs major cutting to remove scratches and oxidised paint then the machine buff will give you better results and not so sore arms. But it's easy to make a mess of your car's paint work with a machine buff by burning the paint surface on edges or buffing too hard with the wrong buff pad etc. :o For those who aren't confident enough to use a machine buff then stick to doing it by hand as it's safer for the inexperienced and you can actually correct your mistakes a hell of a lot easier. :D
  4. Go to Toyota and get them to do recall on adjusting the slave cylinder push rod on the clutch. Solves the shifting problem straight away.

  6. Not at all my friend, good to see you are using some of my advice lol. High pressure will remove the majority of the grime off your wheels then it's just a small amount of hand washing to remove the remainder. :) I wouldn't use any type of thinners on the standard wheels as they are painted silver with a clear coat unless you want to make a real mess of them. ;) As for the bug and tar remover it's a little co**** for removing the grime off your wheels. I wouldn't use it on my car any where. Scratches like fine sandpaper and have seen the results on many cars that I've had to correct ;) :D
  7. I've used Farecla cutters and polishers and they are great but a little expensive and should only be used by somebody with experience with using a buff and or a decent amount of experience in hand cutting/polishing. But the results are worth the effort.
  8. And just for laughs my fellow big-bellied friend, when using the Standard Bridgstone's with the Kings & Strut Brace, 85kph easy....all the way baby.... Maybe when I get me some new rubber, we might be looking at 100... :P ← 100km/hr Azza... all the way baby... :D
  9. I have investigated KYB options and could only be told that they only do a replacement for the standard strut that's non adjustable and is basically the same. Prices weren't available at this time but may be now.
  10. If your rears are leaking that much then your fronts are prolly as bad if not worse. There's a superceeded part number for the rear struts (Jap part no) and the fronts are still the same. Had mine done(all 4) earlier this year.
  11. yeah and it looks dirty yellow not mirror finish chrome bling bling lol. If you want one please hurry and get your money to Craig. C-one will cost upwards of $180. these cost only $80 so that saves you $100 for your camber bolts and stubby aerial hahaahhahaha.

  13. Facelift models the grille is part of the front bumper so to change your grille you'll need to change the whole front bumper :(
  14. Get the wheel cleaner by Meguiars for clear coated/painted wheels. Spray on then give a bit of a scrub with a soft brush/sponge. Should do the job. Small hint to make them easier to clean.... Polish your wheels with the same polish you do your car as the stock wheels are painted with a clear coat and putting a good polish on them creates a protective barrier against grime and makes them heaps easier to wash. :D
  15. Being that I'm a professional car detailer I voted for Meguiars as it's good stuff. But if you want the best finish then use Bowdens car care products. I thought Meguiars was pretty much the best till Bowdens gave me a heap of their products to sample... and the results are awesome :D and I've got just a few trophies to back it up with too. ;)

  17. I know of a few VW's that aren't rotary powered and have no turbo that would beat your time by about 3.5 seconds. :D Just gotto know how to build em ;) Good one Craig. I believe it was my brother who passed the comment about a certain Echo er I mean Barina sorry Opel and the owner who got very upset :( But it was pretty dam funny

  19. I saw it fly in and had the perfect observation point... on the Barge to Moreton Island. The thing practically flew right over us :D We saw the previous flights come in (767,747) then this thing came into view and from a distance it looked similiar till it got closer and it just got bigger and bigger. Picked a great time to fill in for my Cousin's tour business... and the Spanish and Brazilian girls made it all the more worthwhile(especially when it was time for a swim ;) )

  22. Obviously Brisbane prices are way better than some of the prices quoted in that list as they are almost highway robbery. But then again that's what you get for living down south and not up here in paradise.

Just buy a normal Beetle not someone's chop shop attemp at a convertible. :( The only VW convertible I'd buy is genuine factory and look to spend at least $10K plus to own one. ;) For $3-$4K you can pick up a reasonable bug (1970-1976). The earlier models are not all that nice to drive and have drum brakes all round that can shudder enough to loosen your fillings.
