  1. Find a sportivo owner who has done a cat back system and off to buy their factory system. Works well on a 1zz and price wise relatively cheap. Talk to Pippy as this is what he's done.
  2. Sportiv's custom boot install is well on the way!!!
  3. Went to Vanuatu for a holiday and called a cab. We got an early daihatsu charade when we wanted a mini van to get to a resort. We squeezed 8 of us in (9 inc driver). We were hanging out of the windows etc and loving it due to their lack of road rules!!! The porters at the resort were laughing at us squeezed into this thing cause they thought that only the locals would travel like that not tourists.
  4. I think mtbrider might be older... just a guess. I probably hold the record for the most amount of times headlight protectors have been removed/replaced. I would say every nearly every wash. At a rough guess about 75 times. :) Who's got the biggest speeding ticket in a sportivo??? I got done doing 112 in a 90 zone. $250($295 by the time I paid it!!) and 4 points.
  5. Russ you kill me By the way for those who don't know Russ he's 6'4 high and 6 pick handles across the back of the neck :P He lets us call him Russ but if you are new you call him "Sir" ;)
  6. Sounds like the plan. Lets find somewhere central and away from morons and cop bait!
  7. Obviously it's this saturday. not enough notice for me I've got to do some work to pay for my next round of mods ;)
  8. Northy bring some tools. We've got a strut brace to fit ;)
  9. Sava Intensa hey? Poor mans performance tyre!!!! That girl bleeding the "snowflake development fund" dry Danthuyer??? :P
  10. Nearly all of these automated car wash places recycle their waste water and use it again by pumping heaps of chemicals in to it to get it up to scratch. :o I know of a couple of these places in Qld that have signs up saying that if you have a red or dark coloured car don't wash it here. Being that I'm a detailer I've seen first hand what this chemical polluted water does to pain and it literally etches the shine off the paint work. As for the ones who have some gumbies with a sponge to wash your car down... no thanks. I've seen them drop the sponge on the ground in dirty polluted, muddy water then pick it up and resume washing without so much as a rinse of the sponge. The only sponge or cleaning product that touches my car is attached to my hand then i know it ain't going to do any damage. ;)
  11. You need a hoist to do it easily and I'd much rather pay somebody to fit it as I've sized it up and said "no thanks!"
  12. Looks good apart from all the stickers :(
  13. I think that I would hold the record for the most amount of times that a Sportivo has been washed since new; Every week and on some weeks twice. Just worked it out to be 107 times up until today! Picked up my car on 6 Dec 03.
  14. C and J motorsport have the sensor fixed to the side of the cabinet that houses the computer.
  15. Maybe we should get some more 1zz's to compete with the SP23's?By the looks of the dyno sheets they'd be fairly close ;)
  16. That the shops with the chiropractor/naturopath that i go too.Not a bad spot out of sight out of mind...of the boys in blue!!
  17. Go get em Russ!! I wont play with them as they are just a little too far out of my league... by about 30 kw !!!!!!!
  18. do retreads have a load/speed rating as well? or does it follow the original carcass? ← retreads are speed rated to about 140kph from memory. I've always been a yokahama man and still posses a set of the super sticky and prolly the best tyres ever made - the A008. Mighten have high mileage but these are absolutly the best I've ever had. I currently am running Goodyear F1's on the stivo and get pretty good mileage out of them. 45 000k's and they are getting close to be replaced so not too bad. I also had these on my integra and managed to get 76 000k's out of them but the Integra is a lot kinder on tyres than the Stivo :( The secret in long tyre life is regular rotation and using nitrogen instead of normal compressed air. Nitrogen keeps the tyre pressure constant and therefore reduces shoulder wear when cornering as the tyre doesn't get anywhere near as hot. My 2 cents worth. :D
  19. for dressing up in the girls clothes....

  21. Umm my house isn't quite big enough and i don't think that my wife would appreciate us talking etc till midnight so lets find somewhere where there is light so we can open the workshop up again.
  22. CES + CAI(TRD) nothing else gives you between 115kw - 120kw atw depending on the car and dyno. Add the unichip and get between 125 and 130kw at the wheels. CES and CAI does improve the torque considerably but the unichip can almost remove it altogether. :D
  23. Urban auto tek do a grounding wire kit consisting of 4 wires in a choice of colours for the wire as well as the terminals. All soldered joints and heat shrink covered ends that look great. Costs are $40 for gold terminals and $47 for the platinum terminals(chrome). Contact myself or Dave at Urban Auto Tek on 0421 639 152.
