  1. I'm presuming it's a corolla so definately go with the Koni's over the KYB's. KYB's are basically an aftermarket replacement for the stock shock. Koni's are better in quality and also adjustable. they match very well to King springs both low and super lows. REMOVED - NO TRADING ALLOWED - PLEASE CONTACT MODS TO PAY THE FEE TO BECOME A SPONSOR
  2. Bit steep have heard of cheaper. Around the 400-440 mark.
  3. Won't be different on a conquest as it's just a name of a model. they are all the same. as for Carmate.... they are slack and some of their stuff is a bit rough and needs a bit of modifying to make fit.
  4. hi msman thanx so they install it for u aswell how much would it cost thanx. dude anyone with half a brain could install it. Are you really that unable to swing a spanner???
  5. Guys we are trying to create an image for the forum of one sticker design which is the new one. with all these different designs it makes the forum look a little unorganised. Please stick with one design which is the new one. stickers are available from mods in each state. If you are sellinh forum stickers then they are to be done(for WA guys) without making profit as per forum rules. If you guys in WA want some new design stickers then PM me and we can arrange a bulk lot sent out to you.
  6. don't slip up Asian or super cause Sb could be knocking on your door!!!
  7. Yeah thought the clutch could do with a tweak but it has been a while since I drove a Sportivo so it all kinda felt a bit foreign... for the first 10 minutes LOL As for the misshift...dammm hand slip, too casual then it simply wouldn't go so I grabbed 6th and cruised B)
  8. Come on that was a bit harsh....you did pretty good better than i expected :) me and SB were goin pretty dam fast i must say!! all i heard from my passenger was..................JEEEESUS DUDE!!! and oi, oi, OI......hahahah scaring myself alot of the time too i must add. Thanks heaps to SILVABULLIT for warning me prior to honda S bend...even tho i was still locking up all over the place...cos that would not have turned out nice i dont think U did a good job trying to land lift in 2nd from the lights too...right at my window BAHP BAHP BAHP hahah just wouldnt go in lol Also thumbs up to TRD Aurion Owner for leaving his hi-beams on behind me for the second half of the mountain. really helped the vision not to mention the partial blindness in my review mate cheers haha Good cruise guy hope to see use all next time Yeah LoL my hand slipped off the gear stick being a bit to casual then it just wouldn't go so didn't bother pushing it LOL . JC's shifter is a lot stiffer and notchier than my old car was too.
  9. Guys this thread will be pinned for all WA peeps to chat/organise regualr meet up's and or events instead of cluttering the actuall events section with Expressions of interest. Cheers SB
  10. Best compromise is going lows in the front and super lows in the rear. Car sits dead level and the slightly heavier spring rate in the rear improves the car's handling characteristics out of sight. with super lows on the front and rear getting into and out of places is a biatch. Draggin your guts on speed bumps ain't my idea of having fun. Plus watch the front lip as it will cop a hiding as well. super low and low set up with 215/40/17 with koni's is the best compromise for every day commuting and also wanting the performance handling for a track session/mountain/spirited driving.
  11. Mate put the stock muffler back on. it will prolly go better and be quieter.....
  12. Team: Ferrari Drivers: Hamilton Massa Pole: Massa Fastest: Kimi
  13. 110db is like what a jackhammer putsout, are you sure? yup tested it on CES' dyno with their DB tester. Very loud indeed!!
  14. I think you've all sniffed waay too much of the ol petrol fumes and watched one too many lame car movies. As you can see no gearbox so I'm guessing it is gearbox related like "lets fix it so i don't break it again" :o Oh and Xoom don't forget to get replace your clutch fork with the new CO2 assisted model. Made from 302 stainless and man does it make the clutch feel good under your foot.
  15. you're putting an auto in cause you keep miss shifting and getting crap times :P
  16. CAI CES Headers CES Catback Exceedy heavy duty clutch that will cost you about $2600 to start with. Depends on how much you want to spend.
  17. I'm gonna guess and say that young Bill broke 3rd gear and made a big ol mess...... so are some Kazz close ratios on the cards there my homus loving friend??
  18. Good ported headers and a CES catback eliminate the dip before lift. Seen many a graph to prove it. As Bill said go with the simpliest option otherwise your glovebox will end up being a sparrows nest of wiring and ecu plugs
  19. Lowered springs will kill stock shocks over a period of time. Seeing as you are not going to be a track warrior I'd replace the stock shocks with some KYB's and add the king springs. You can get 18's under the car without issues but your tyre sidewall profile is very small so things like potholes, rough roads and driveway lips become an issue as far as bending rims is concerned. All comes down to your personal choice but I would stick with 17's and a 40 series tyre which will be more comfortable for every day driving. If you need any prices on suspension stuff PM as I'd be only too happy to help you out. :)
  20. I'm actually looking into something along the lines of this with my Dad. Harder than all the websites make out to set up properly. My uncle has a set up on his Pajero that works well. Improved economy and more power.
  21. 2009 the National Meet will be in Melbourne. Mods have already decied that it will be there and some have already started some preliminary organisation. 2010 it will more than likely be in Perth/Adelaide perhaps. You guys do have a lot of work to do. Trust me on that one. I started organising the Nat meet this year in november 2007. So near enough to 8 months of phone calls, visits to potential sponsors and sussing out locations for events to be held. Plus trying to get some of the slack people to actually commit to coming nearly a year in advance. Book your holidays and don't use work as an excuse. I booked my holidays december 2007 knowing I would need the thursday and friday before the weekend to finish things off and pick stuff up. Not a hard thing to do really. If any of the Melbourne crew want some insight/info about what has to be done then drop me a PM. Happy to help!!
  22. DB testing on a Sportivo should be done at 5500rpm or there abouts. Things will be getting tougher and I guess that's why I never worried about getting pinged as I had the CES system with a certificate recording the DB tests done and it was under the legal limit. Got pulled over a few times and was asked about the exhaust so I opened the glovebox and pulled out the certificate to which they replied "all good mate" and "yep that's fine".
  23. Not sure if anyone on here is running them. They are pretty expensive here in Australia compared to Kings/whiteline/pedders. Like a bit more than double the price to be exact.
