  1. Postage to you guys will be about $25 with australia post. Registered and insured.
  2. modifying the throttle body and inlet manifold would only yield good gains with some more internal work. throttle body is already a good size and the inlet ports on the head and manifold are quite large too. don't waste your money on something like this if you aren't going to change cams and do other internal work to make more power.
  3. Not really necessary in the southern states as it doesn't get hot and humid like it does up here in summer time for long periods.
  4. Team: Ferrari Drivers: Kimi & Hamilton Pole: Hamilton Fastest: Kimi
  5. Maybe he's just a better driver? :P He also doesn't weigh much either!! Doesn't Superdave have an extra oil cooler, etoll and an ice cream bucket scoop/air deflector thingy? :P I ran a 15.4 in a complete car with nothing removed. Had catback, CAI and headers and was launching at 4000rpm. Unfortunately I had a gearbox issue that wouldn't allow me to land 2nd gear at high RPM even after having the clutch adjustment done. So all the benefit of the mods were lost in trying to get 2nd gear without it crunching/binding. The top end was there but dropping well off lift into 2nd kinda kills the inertia!! Never got back to the track after I got the box fixed. Land 2nd every single time after that was fixed!!!
  6. about the same height as you are using the same spring. If you want to get the look right then you go super lows in the rear and lows in the front. tyre to arch gap is just nice without being so low that you are dragging your guts everywhere.
  7. Reds are adjustable and yes you have to remove them to adjust. Like the Yellow Sport rears. As for getting them Koni's new 2008-09 part book doesn't even list them. checked it today. All that is listed is the yellow sports and the FSD kit. they also now list springs which I'm curious to look into. they might on the website but for AU market doesn't list the numbers for the reds. Anyhow prices for the Koni Yellows (sports) are as follows.... Fronts - $260 ea ; retail is $310(ZZE122/3 are same price) Rears - $210 ea ; retail is $252 cheers SB
  8. Superdave would be the fastest closest to bog stock time with 15.2? It in the spreadsheet pinned at the top of this section.
  9. What do you mean by late model??? 2007/8??
  10. thanks for the reply's, SB can you tell me the price diffrence between the koni red's and yellows, as my funds may not allow me to get the yellows. (budget is about $1000 mark fitted) and is it true that the reds are softer then the yellows, even with the yellows on the softest setting. some guys say that yellows are more likely to leak. and what other brands make adjustable shocks that are rebuildable? Blistein? KYB? Tein? The difference between reds and yellows is the yellows are the sport range. Reds are OEM replacement with some dampener adjustment. Haven't bought a set of reds for a Corolla before lol. Reds will be a lil softer than yellows. As for leaks maybe after years and years of use. Then you can get them rebuilt!! you can rebuild Bilsteins but they are lil more expensive. KYB's maybe the top end stuff but the entry level stuff is just OEM replacement. Teins dunno about. I will find out prices for reds tomorrow.
  11. Try the search button mate. It'll unearth all the riddles of human history and your question about a TRD CAI. Even better still go to the buy and sell section and look there. There might even be a group buy for them if you are lucky.
  12. Mate that is so not good. Whoever was driving OK?? By the looks of that damage there would have to have been some injuries sustained. hope all is ok though.
  13. they'll be fine mate. My wife was the major driver of mine and she never complained once about the ride. On the softest setting it'll ride like a stock car. Wind them up and add some camber bolts and away you go to the track.
  14. Kings have lows for them but not 100% sure about whiteline. Will find out though. any reason for wanting whiteline?? softer ride perhaps than Kings.
  15. there is no need to have them polished just ported. there certainly is no benefit of this being done. just get them ported and then sanded smooth and it will work just fine. If you can't find anyone to do it call CES and see what postage would be. there is also a group buy on CES headers atm. check out group buys section for more info.
  16. Well that tells me one thing.... Don't have long Asian hair!! Get your haircut like me and you'll have no worries from the Cops pulling you up for having long Asian Hair!!!!!!!!
  17. Good choice of colour mate. Definately has the best resale value ;) Welcome to TOCAU!!
  18. Yep Kings do have springs for them but only lows atm. I have a set for sale if anyone is interested!!
  19. OK here are the prices that I have received for the group buy from CES. SPORTIVO CAT BACK WITH STAINLESS FLANGES - $975 (Minimum order of 3 units) COROLLA (1ZZ) CAT BACK WITH STAINLESS FLANGES - $1010 (Minimum order of 3 units) Price difference is 2.25" stainless pipe is dearer than 2.5" pipe and same for custom mufflers to suit. 2ZZ HEADERS CERAMIC COATED $500 (this price stands only if you exchange your stock headers) (minimum order of 3 units) Obviously if more people join this the prices may come down a bit more. I will leave this open till the end of July. A 50% deposit will be required on all orders and once all orders are ready to be sent the outstanding balance will be required before freight will occur.
  20. Petrol or diesel?? As far as the 4wd system goes it is the same as what Toyota puts in the Rav4. So it is basically AWD not 4WD like say a Hilux. A lot of the parts for these are interchangable with the Aus spec Tarago's and most stuff can now be sourced by import parts suppliers. There are a lot of them now on the road so getting the bits you need shouldn't be hard to do at all.
  21. C'mon mate I'm sure the kebab machines can wait to be cleaned till Sunday... besides fat = flavour!! Ask Northy he'll tell you!!
