  1. Motec is pretty expensive, but is probably the best ECU. Didnt the turbo car CES did use the Haltec? Blame Holden. Actually they started off with a Motec but then switched to an Autronic. Got a great tune with the autronic with no idle speed issues. 335hp atw is not a bad effort on 18psi.
  2. Umm why is everyone talking about pillow mounts when he is on stock shocks???? mate easiest wy to check is jack the car up and have a look at the leg of the strut. If you have oil coming from the top then their stuffed. It won't be a suspension bush trust me on that one. If it is a CV noise do you have split boots?? If you do then it could be that. Best thing to replace the stock shocks with is Koni's. work well with king springs. Pm me if you want some prices...
  3. i'll be there bearing gifts for those who give me money.....
  4. Northy had a TRD manifold and sold it and bought a set of CES ported headers. Big difference!! you could modify a CES catback to exit on the left if you had someone who could do it nicely without butchering it.
  5. x force .... not a fan. why make your exhausts system longer?? Just get a muffler that does the job right the first pass through the muffler. stock exhaust manifold ported is the best bang for buck by far. most "real" performance shops here carry brands of ECU's that are compatible with the corolla.
  6. MMM might bring my Civic down and give you a run for your money their Bill :P 1.3 carbie mayhem is what it's all about lol
  7. Exceedy heavy duty is the go. feels like a stock clutch and in some cases the pedal is actually softer. If you want a price on one PM me. I can get them cheaper than most places as some on here will testify to.
  8. So if Lewis get his position back i'll get more points?? could be a win win situation!! Me think's I'm starting to get the hang of this formula 1 tipping lol....

  10. big Happy birthday to Master Northy (25) and mick wheelz(20) for today. hope you had a good one boys!!
  11. Bob Jane at chermside are good too but the guy I used to deal with for good prices ain't there no more.....
  12. Was in NZ last week and managed to see 2 Aerotourer wagons. talk about luck!! As superdave has suggested CES is prolly your best option for something off the shelf that has a nice note but isn't loud. check them out in the trader's section.
  13. Can vouch for Bob Jane at Springwood/ Underwood. They can be a bit slow and are always friggen busy but they are loyal to return customers with good deals. Cameron the owner(the BIG guy) is the man to speak to or Jason as he has been there since I started to deal with them over 10 years ago. Both have good knowledge and offer both the pro's and con's of individual brands and don't try and push you towards the brand they want to sell. Tell them what you want as far as performance/cost etc goes and they'll offer you the choices to suit you and your car. The correct choices as far as load ratings etc etc.
  14. hahahahah ..... yeah it seems they have gotten that rep ..... lol .... mate 2 b honest i dunno ..... i've never seen a zze rolla in their mag before ..... that being said i dont tend to buy the mag regularly ..... mate im still waiting on my job offer for the r&d department so this can come true :P :P :P ;) ;) ;)  and you will need 2 Brisbane based research assistants I hear????
  15. I can personally vouch for Westside mufflers. Know the owner and has done some work for my brothers car recently and freighted it up to me in Brissy. Top quality workmanship at a good price. He does a lot of work for Pac Performance from memory. If he has his VW beetle their check it out. It is absolutely a masterpiece of workmanship!!
  16. Boys I have just driven some mountain roads here in Queenstown that make Nebo look like a mound. I'm talking a 1500ft drop off the side if you get it wrong. Just fanged it down the mountain from Coronet Peak snow fields in a V6 auto Kia Carnival!! Even in that POS it was awesome. Kept getting distracted by the awesome views!! Car handles like crap but put it in manual mode and have some fun LOL North you would absolutely love these roads. They are friggen awesome!!!!
  17. but he did buy something with "proven" gains..... :P Plus when he decides to sell his car the CES gear does sell for good $$ second hand. as for home handy man with die grinder I can smell disaster or is that someone with a lot of blood pouring out of a gaping wound........
  18. Nice choice there Trev. That is what my Mrs wants....
  19. Team: Ferrari Drivers: Hamilton, Massa Pole: Massa Fastest: Kimi better get them in early as might be the last time i get to a computer whilst in sunny cold Queenstown NZ.
  20. Painting metallics is quite tricky as there is a lot of things you must do before you start painting or you will end up withe the patchy paint job where you have areas of high concentrate metallic and some with next to none. for big things like skirts etc take it to a panel shop. Baked in a booth is the only way to go as the paint is tougher and you get even colour.
  21. It's in a different room, we're not at that stage of the relationship yet. Would that be like a "holding room" :P
  22. Obviously all the stuff you have bought isn't on your car. Does it sit in your room on the bedside table??? cause isn't your car just stock with coilovers?? C'mon don't tell us you have finally changed insurance companies so you can become a furry siik hektic modder like the rest of us. :P
  23. Leave them red mate. Black will look *******. Plus painting everything black makes it all look kinda dirty....
