  4. Happy birthday DJKOR!!! Hope it was a good one!!
  5. The Muffler is the big one under the centre of the car. The small one at the back is just another resonator.
  6. More pics??? some of you haven't posted any yet.....
  7. The additive "Roil" I was talking about has some creditable testing and information done by an independant tester(university of Qld from memory). Like most uni's you can't just get them to test your product and give you the result you want to hear. More often than not too they will approach the business with the product and ask to test it. So most of them that say "we got such and such a uni to test it" is prolly not the case. but moreso the uni was doing some research and wanted to see if the stuff really works. When I get time I will post some info up on Roil. Northy, myself and few other Qld guys have used it and the results are noticable and does what it says it will. This stuff is used by quite a few race teams in Qld and a few V8 Supercar teams as well but they certainly wouldn't advertise it!!! Also used by a lot of Top fueler teams in the NHRA in the states as that is where the product originated from.
  8. Guni you have one of these??? Maybe you should get a turbonator as well!!!LOL There is no such thing as cheap HP and al these wonder gadgets are out there to make someone money from people who are not mechanically minded cause they make it sound so good and give you all these facts and figures and if you don't know any better then you wil buy it.
  9. Mate not having a go at you but I'm saying would you believe that story?? you didn't say whether you believed it or not in the way you posted..... As for proof the companies are always gonna tell you it works. after having pulled some engines down from people who use this sort of stuff to find oil strainer pick ups in sumps full of the "suspended solids" that these additives are full of what do you think really happens? most of these sort of additives end up in the sump and then get trapped on the gauze fitler on the end of the oil pick up causing oil starvation over a period of time. Best way to see if these "wonder additives" work is go to a race track and see how many people are actually using the stuff in their race cars. Very Very few will and a lot will tell you they tried and it didn't work or caused some from of problem.
  10. Hopefully should have some prices this week. stay tuned.
  11. Mate with a story like that do you believe it works?? You could almost put money on it that there is no way a car could go that distance with no oil at all. I certainly won't be trying it. It's testimonies like these that I group with the wonder products like the "turbonator", "hiclone" and things like Brockies energy polariser. Someone out there always trying to make a quick buck off the uneducated......
  12. It's a breather pipe. On all Corolla's with 1zz the CAI needs an outlet for it to go onto. Creates positive crankcase pressure for the engine. CES have incorporated this into their CAI's for all facelift Corolla's. the new ZRE 152's are different again as far as intake is concerned. CES are putting some finishing touches on this in the next couple of weeks.
  13. Your gains from putting a CAI on your car will be totally different to ours as the altitude difference is a lot. Most 1ZZ I've seen with CAI gain about 3-5KW depending on the car. Don't use one of those enclosed cone filters(the pod filter with an enclosure around it and an inlet on the end) as they will cost your power. A member from here put one on his car and lost heaps on the dyno. As for adjusting the throttle cable it doesn't make your car go any better. Even with some slack in the cable at idle you will still find that you have full throttle when you push it flat.
  14. If you are asking yourself that question then you have answered it already. As for a 2ZZ running 2 cylinders, when Northy dropped a rod we started it up and had a listen then gave it a few revs and had a good laugh!!
  15. I notice all you nancy boys all come from the same area down south where the cold had affected your brains..... where men aint men no more and where it is now common place for Adam and Steve instead of Adam and Eve LOL Love you work but you won't convert me from league :)
  16. The hydrogen is a by product of running an electric current through water. My Dad in his ever expanding pursuit to do all things that others say cannot be done is researching it atm. I know that sometime in the next 6 months my Hilux will have it as will his Accord and few other cars in the family.
  17. Nice vids Zoran. Shame your car now smells like a brewery LOL well it may do after being locked up in the heat on a summers day!! Memories of the TOCAU National Meet in Brisbane for ya!!
  18. It has got me stuffed how some of you do this sort of thing. I have driven my old car with CAI as well as northy in his old sportivo with CAI through water that literally came up to the door sills and Northy pushed a bow wave in front of me that came up over the headlights. and guess what??? No problems at all!!! We drove in slowly and didn't gun it through the water. Northy copped a bow wave off another car coming from the other direction. He has a video of it on the forum somewhere. Obviously first thing is you aren't sure about how deep it is then don't cross it. If you can see how deep it is and it isn't ridiculous then drive into it slowly and not fast. for those who are worried about putting a CAI on their car then do it. It seems that this sort of thing only happens if you are careless or doing something stupid.
  19. If Mish and Mark are coming up from the coast tonite then we might head up to MT cootha for a look see. But I will be out tonite for a while.
  20. Can't say I've seen an Origin thread for 2008?
  21. Qld win game 2 30 - 0 in an absolute thrashing and awesome display all round. Hopefully NSW will send the U16 team to the next game as the U12's didn't do too well. Big hits were the order of the game and Greg Inglis running over the top of Matt Cooper was my highlight. Might think twice next time!!! Mish and Mark i hope you enjoyed watching Origin in Qld..... Bring on game 3 baby!!!!!!!
  22. and Mario's Sportivo and Harry's supercharged 1ZZ also won awards. Camry's had the most presentable engine bays and some nice interior work too. If only I could have got the Silvabullit's new owner to turn up to the show and shine results might have been a lil different.
