  1. Shift Performance may be able to make you one or one of the other mobs in Sydney who have done stuff for the ZZE series Corolla's.
  2. SD we only have 1 O2 sensor in the Aus spec cars. when CEs did the R&D on the sportivo stuff Trevor looked at the cat and was surprised at just how big and well made it was. He commented on the size being comparable to something other manufacturers have on engines some 3L in capacity and bigger. We pulled the cat off during some testing and had a good look at it Trevor commented for the price you would pay to get a cat to flow better than the stock one(which he thought was really really good) is not worth the 1-3kw you may gain. The fastest 2ZZ's here in Aus all run stock cats. There are a few who have replaced them with Metal Cat "high flow"cat convertors but the difference is not really noticable at all. The money you spend on a cat would be better spent on something like a set of ported headers cause they cost about the same.
  3. no white background you can't see the letters can you?? Everyone can purchase one but this is the official desing for TOCAU. It is vinyl that is printed on with a clear UV resistant coating to protect it and stop fading.
  4. Ofcourse you'll win.............. light weight azn's always win :P lmao have u met me??? im 6.5ft and weigh in at 100kg =P~~ LOL!!! I guess your mouth is in proportion ot the rest of you then :P :P :P :P :P :P :P just kidding lol nothing wrong with us big fella's......
  5. Have just got another batch of stickers made. If you want one PM me and I will post you one at your expense. Cost is $10 plus whatever registered post is to you.(usually about $2-3)
  6. If you want something easier and removable....... http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde..._item&CID=4
  7. We only have one cat on the Sportivo and 1 O2 sensor. Plus fines here for no cat are huge and if you get caught you're goone. the cat convertor on the Sportivo here is huge and flows very well for a stock cat hence why most don't even bother changing it.
  8. I was made to believe from Honda users that 4 2 1 is the way to go with low-mid range torque. Unless their VTEC engines work differently compare to VVTL-i. That is one of the reason why TRD came up ........... Guni the TRD headers are exactly the same as stock headers. Same design but with slightly larger primary pipes. Might pay to do a bit more research before you ask some questions you will get flamed for. And yes they are 4-2-1 style headers.
  9. throw all your turbo ehxaust theories out the window when it coems to N/A. Yes you need back pressure and just the right amount. N/A engines can be very touchy when it comes to back pressure. some make/models like more back pressure than others do. It pays to do your homework on the engine specs etc then speak to an exhaust specialist not a local muffler chop shop.
  10. TRD headers are meant to be used with their stroker kit hence the slightly larger primary pipe diameter. CEs ones are ported, flowed and coated stock headers. the difference between the 2 is quite noticable and as SD mentioned Northy had TRD but got rid of them over the CES as the gains were better and more noticable. TRD may give you slight gains top end with the bigger pipes and a tiny bit low down but if it is mid range and low speed torque the CES ones are the go.
  11. read what you wrote, look how many corollas, yaris's and camrys are sold then tell me how many are modified "majority" this entire conversation went to *****, the legalties of someones car come down to the owners choice, who cares, what your saying is irrelevant and ramble Sif anyone sane uses a yaris at a track event anyway lol Mate if have read this thread we were referring the members of this forum not toyota's in general. So your "majority" are modified and yes i have seen quite a few Yaris/Echo's on a race track and they aint as slow as you think. So i guess that what you are saying is irrevelant and ramble as you need to do some homework before you shoot your mouth off next time.... So when will you be heading to the track/strip in the TRD Aurion??? Or is it just another car that is just a show boat??? Doesn't matter what you drive. If you got it and you use it then great but don't bag others cause they haven't spent the money you have to just cruise the esplanade looking for a coffee shop.
  12. Damm it!!! Just when I thought I was catching "the red" he pulls away again.......
  13. Whats going to control your lift on the 2ZZ?? Cause the 1ZZ doesn't have lift hence the vvt-i badge minus the red "L"....LOL
  14. Comment above mate is far from the truth. It is plainly obvious that the majority of Aurion owners are exactly that. They own an Aurion and the only real mods to the car they will do are stereo and perhaps a change of wheels. Anything more than that is obviously out of the question and by the way this thread has gone spending money on their car doing stuff isn't a priority. The majority of Corolla,Yaris, and some Camry owners are car enthuisasts who enjoy tinkering with their car and using it not only for everyday transport but also for some motorsport orientated events/driving. I know some of the Aurion owners here had a go at some unliked comments about generalising Aurion owners and here you are doing the same back? It's not a case of people cannot afford to own an Aurion and then modify it but more of the case that the Aurion is a family car and is family orientated. Apart from the effort Toyota put into the TRD Aurion(or lack of) they will always only be seen as Toyota's alternative to the Commodore/Falcon. They certainly aren't a car that attracts interest from car enthuisasts to modify into something wild(but I must admit they do have some qualities I like) hence they tend to go with something like the Corolla or Yaris as they are the popular choices in the Asian countries plus have a lot of stuff available aftermarket. As for getting fined over having illegal modifications I think there is also some demerit points too. If you choose that route then good for you and then you obviously have got the money to throw away on fines etc but some will want to do it properly and know that their car is 100% legal no matter what the case. If you are totally worried about getting done for mods by the law then don't do it and drive a stock Aurion. Simple.
  15. Put a post up for a group buy mate and watch all the tight a55es come running wanting "supposed cheap" HP :P No such thing as cheap HP and these sort of devices are mainly gimmick and in theory might work but in real life it doesn't. Also someone's get rich quick scheme off the uneducated....
  16. Cost you more than $200 if you get caught. Any defect to do with emissions and/or pollutions carries big fines. Bigger fine for having no cat than carrying an unregistered gun. Anybody looked at getting mufflers made to suit the Aurion??? Get the noise you want and HP gain. This is what CES did with the Sportivo Corolla cat back system. Custom made a rear muffler to suit the car. Hp gains are the same but it tones down the noise to be under the legal DB limit and sounds great too. I got pulled up a few times in my old Sportivo and if the Police asked I showed them the noise certificate and away I went no questions asked. If you guys are going to all the trouble of putting a Varex on and worrying about being defected then dont be tight a55es and spend the coin and get someone to design mufflers to give you the power and a nice note without it being loud as Police attractive. Prolly work out to be close to the price of a varex anyway.... As for high flow cats dont worry about it. If you aren't putting your car on the track(circuit/drags) then the tiny gain you get certainly is not worth the amount it will cost you. some of the sportivo corolla guys put high flow cats on their cars and registered no gains at all. Stock one is pretty damm good.
  17. French Grand Prix Team: Ferrari Drivers: Kubica, Massa Pole: Hamilton Fastest : Kimi
  18. So where are you getting them made for a price that cheap?? And what would the quality be like??
  19. Is that just for the mufflers?? Or is that for a cat back system??
  20. unichip works yes but after a while the ECU re learns around the chip with the signals it sends and performance will start to slide back towards stock settings.
  21. I seriously think you will struggle for room trying to put a V6 into the sportivo engine bay. If it did fit then I'd go with the Aurion V6 as it is a nice engine. the 2ZZ makes the same power almost as the V6 in the camry and add some mods to the 2ZZ and it will certainly be cheaper and better option.
  22. good luck with a King springs group buy. I tried it with my supplier and Kings will not budge on their price to wholesalers no matter how big the volume. Kings lows - 35mm drop Kings Super lows - 50 mm drop Search the registry and look at azza'a car (Kings lows all round). Think his pics now have it with the 17's he had on it but you will get the idea.
  23. My guess is this thursday night. i should be there and hopefully Northy in his new wheels too if all goes well.....
