  1. To me not really but to some it's everything. You putting the MPS on mate? CES did a full exhaust system(dump pipe etc) for a MPS up here in Brissy. Was at the workshop when they finished it and went for a test drive in it. Mate it was damm fast!!! What a difference it made to the car. Didn't drop off boost like the stock ones do. Boost dropped off only about 150rpm before fuel cut. Very impressive. Trevor reckons it would certainly give some good Evo's and Sti's a big fright!!
  2. I've put you on the list of attendees. Add your name to the accomodation list below it. Micky Tee can't make it as he has all of July off work and could't manage to get time in June as well. CAP is too busy apparantly with work and as for Saiya haven't heard a peep, Big Bum same story. I would love it if everyone could come as the more people that come the better the event will be. The Qld boys and girls will be out in force to support this with a lot of our newer members very keen for the weekend in june to come quicker. We are getting a lot of offers of help from everyone up here so organising will be a lot easier fro the likes of myself, Northy and Azza. Plus the biggest advantage we have is location location location!!!! Everything is close to CBD.Mountains are approx 15-20 minute drive from heart of CBD. Gold Coast is just under and hours drive away and the F1 motel is right near the airport(if you want to fly in!!) and about 10 -15 from heart of city too. You will get a good look at Brisbane and the Gold coast in the 3 days you are up here.
  3. Pays to shop around mate. I've seen koni's vary in price by about 30-60 each from shop to shop. I can also get them a lot cheaper than RRP if you're interested. PM me for more info.
  4. Nankang are a noisy tyre as far as road noise is concerned.
  5. SEARCH button is in the top right corner of the screen under the page banner. Are you in Brisbane/Sydney/Melbourne?? Location in your profile helps other members help you!!! If you want more power then CES do headers, cat back exhaust and CAI's. there is also TRD,AEM,INjen for CAI's too. If you go everything from CES as a forum sponsor they will look after you with a package deal of sorts. Once you have done that there is lightened flywheels with a heavy duty clutch combo. Then fork out some $$$ and plenty of time to get dyno time to fit a Power FC aftermarket ECU. they are the cheapest option but you also have others like Motec and the duck nuts Autronic but will be nearly double the price of the PFC. Once you have done all that then you will prolly want to spend some $$ on the handling and braking side of things. Have a read in the suspension and brake section for more info. But please use the search button as nearly everything you need to know will eaither be stickied at the top of the sections page or has been covered a million times before. cheers SB
  6. The guys who have replied above you are coming. Contact Mopp and maybe you can convoy up together.

  9. Good on you guys!! Mopp, Zoran will you need accomodation?? Let me know by putting your name on the list for F1 motel.
  10. Yeah but isn't toymods a registered car club with a forum??? Ozmazda is just a forum isn't it? i'm happy for you to prove me wrong but if you want a big variety of other cars then offer some bait on the hook to catch the fish. i know up here a lot of people won't bother if they don't rate in the end results. just think if they offered something for the other's they would get a hell of a lot more competitors.
  11. C/mon Sydney crew pull your finger out and head up to Brissy. you have the shortest drive of anyone to get here. It's just under 12 hours drive. We did it last year in horrible cyclonic conditions and road flooding in just over 12 hours. trust me you'll regret it if you don't come up for it.......
  12. You're kinda contridicting yourself mate with what you have said. You say your CAI is sucking too much air but once lift kicks in it slower?? My guess would be check your filter. what brand is it?? Is it clean? With what you have on your car it will perform a lot better off lift so you won't have as bigger kick once lift is engaged at 6000rpm. Knowing the CES catback system inside and out my guess is if you think it is slower top end then check the air filter. The only cars that have had dramas top after fitting exhausts and CAI's have been CAI related or restrictive filter choice not allowing enough air into the engine. Make sure your MAF is clean too.
  13. It's just toyota doign what BMW and now Mazda have done for years. A common styling factor across various models. Mazda 2,3,6 all have very similiar styling lines. BMW 1,3,5 series as well as thier 4wd's have the same treatment with similiar front ends. Personally i hate it and I don't want to buy say a corolla and people say it's a Yaris or a Camry.
  14. It seems little poor that they want other forums to attend to "prop" up their dyno day and boost numbers to get it cheaper but they are ineligible to win trophies cause they aren't Mazda's??? How about trophies for the other makes and models in attendance? Cause without them there they would be paying a higher price or the event mighten even happen. Anyway go and show the Mazda boys what a "proper" performance N/A engine can do!! And Xoom go and show them what a "proper" performance turbo charged engine can do!! Look forward to the results of this day!!
  15. love your work old mate. love your work!!
  16. Shame I don't drink beer and live in Brisbane!!

  18. Mate like I have posted on this topic a thousand times before but some people dunno how to use the search button which does start to get annoying with multiple threads doubling and tripling up on the same subject. Pedder have only just started making thier own springs but not they still sublet some manufacturing of some springs out to the likes of Kings. FYI King springs are both linear and progressive. Here is how they stand... ZZE 122/3 KTFL 105L - linear (front lows) KTFL 106L - progressive (rear lows) KTFL105SL - progressive (front super lows) KTRL106SL - progressive (rear super lows) ZRE152R KTFL119 - linear (low front) KTRL120 - progressive (low rear) All King springs are linear for the front and progressive on the rear apart from super lows to obviously try and give a softer ride. So yes you are half right about Kings springs. as for getting 15- 25 000km out of stock shocks on lowered springs you would only get that kind of mileage out of them if you put the springs in the car when it was brand new. Throw some springs in when you have already done say 40 000k's and it's a different story. Shock life will be shortened dramatically with the addition of springs at say this many k's. The more K's you have done before you put springs in the shorter the shocks will last with lowered springs. hopefully this info will help in your research.
  19. Happy birthday to LTS60. Hope you enjoy your navman big Russ!!
  20. Prolly just over $800 would do kings and KYB's off the top of my head. They'll go for ages and then you can save for your rims and tyres.
  21. Sheldon, the cars are the same no difference between the suspension of 03/04 and 05 sportivos. I have a set of superlow front and rear springs, I will swap for your Tein's if you like. sounds like a deal you can't refuse!!!! win win all round!!
  22. yeah do what micky Tee said as he is closer to you than me. I usually do the links with a rattle gun then check them with a hex key and ring spanner just in case. Never had one come loose yet or heard of one till now..... but then again Nelson is involved so theories and history go right out the window
