  1. I can get Koni adjustables with kings super lows for the price of cheap coilovers(about $1200-1300.) Great ride with nice lowered stance and adjustable if you want to.
  2. Yerh im very scared..... We all know that you're scared but what is every other Melbourne member's excuse going to be??? We do have coffee shops that sell Latte's up here you know Seriously melb has gone... theres just no more stuff going on down here with the forum we probly have like 3 people i dont really care if u think im scared... its a meet and what im afraid of coming there?? i rather spend time with my mates cruising and mucking around on a long weekend rather then going all the way there to meet a bunch of people that i dont know and really dont care about... no hard feelings guys and girls but thats just me ok... so give it a rest. well mate we'll make you the Melbourne ambassador to TOCAU seeing as you are the only one brave enough to come here. how's that sound??

  8. Most of the TRD CAI's on cars here in Australia are from America dude. They're actually for the Matrix and the US Sedan.
  9. The exhaust on a ZRE152 is something that you should definately replace if you want more power. The massive muffler in the middle of the car looks like it came off a truck it's that big then it has 2 resonators from memory. When I was at CES(TOCAU Forum Sponsor) we had the car on a hoist to develop the CAI and we had a good look at the exhaust side of things and Trevor reckons they could do something really nice as the size of the tunnel is huge and gives you plenty of room to work with. Once the CAI is tested and development of that is finished then I"d say cat back exhaust systems could be the next thing they do. If you are interested (cost of exhaust(stainless steel roughly $950) then add you name to the list below. System will be DB tested to pass noise laws as well. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10.
  10. Have you modified the car ?? Cause the intake manifold on a 2000 Coupe is the same as all the other models of that year so somebody its telling you a load of crap. You either have the GLI, VTI or the VTI-R in the coupe from memory which are engine's Honda has used in other models for quite a while. The Coupe is assembled in the US but the majority of the parts are still from Japan. Are you sure that the idle problem is not something you have done in trying to modify it? Like a major vacuum leak for instance from have a pipe not connected on the manifold for emissions etc etc. If your Honda dealer is tellling you stuff like that then go to another dealer as obviously they are too lazy to do their job properly.
  11. I used to run these but have switched to another brand that lasted longer and had more grip in wet and dry as well as when they were half worn. Plus tyres to replace G/years were cheaper too.

  13. Shouldn't do at all. With the front strut brace did you use the spacers that go on the strut tops before you put the brace on? Maybe check to make sure that the sway bar mounts on the cross member are tight. when you jack the car up check the wheels for excessive play in wheel bearings(hold wheel top and bottom and try to push top in and pull bottom outand vice versa) also swing wheel from lock to lock and visually check to make sure everything is ok. Also ensure that the strut brace is tight on the strut towers(3 nuts either side. Make sure they are reasonably tight. Don't have to try and break them off!!) Is the strut brace adjusted correctly length wise?It should be loosened off both ends and wound out till it is just firm not super tight. Best way to do it is have car on ground and loosen off all 6 strut top nuts. then adjust the strut brace till it slips onto the threads just nice and snug. you shouldn't have to use any force to get it on or off. What springs are you running?? With Kings lows the back actually sits higher than the front. Yours is the other way around correct? That doesn't sound right at all. If your car does sit lower in the back it certainly will behave a lil strange but moreso in cornering situations not with regards to tram tracking etc etc. Are you on stock shocks as well? answer thes questions and I'll see what else I can help you with.   14. I do believe that Sportiv and Sportivo rice from Brissy were the first clowns to fit Lexus' badges to the back of their Sportivo's. Azza put all the black badges from a Camry Sportivo on his red sportivo and they fitted just noice. And no he didn't put the Camry badge on......

  16. Leave front sway bar stock. Add a front strut brace and check your front tyre pressures. On stock tyres run at least 36 psi if you are a spirited driver. From there the next step would be better tyres and maybe rim combo. Is the car lowered? Maybe a spring and aftermarket strut combo/good quality coilovers would also be a great addition. Don't buy cheap coilovers cause they're cheap mass produced crap and will cause more trouble than good!!!!
  17. Not entirely true there. If the struts are stuffed and leaking then they are prolly bottoming out on every bump you hit. My guess is the bump stops may have split with the constant pounding of the strut losing all it's resistance and therfore the stop isn't absorbing the hit as well as it should. If the car is wandering all over the road then first check your tyre pressures. Uneven tyre pressures will make the car more responsive one way then the other if they aren't the same. Jack up the car and check your struts for leakage. The tell tale sign is oil leaking down the strut leg from the top down into the bottom spring retainer. Lift up the rubber dust boot to check this. If they are leaking badly then every bump you hit you will feel through the steering as it is simply not being absorbed by the strut. My other question is have you had the camber altered or do you have camber bolts fitted?? Cause if you have too much camber for road use the car will follow the road quite badly as well. My next question is what rims are you running?? Stocko's or aftermarket?? If they are aftermarket then what offset?? This is another thing that will make a huge difference to the way your handles and behaves on the road as well. Also what springs as you running?? Lows or super lows?? The other thing it could be is the tyres. Highly unlikely but it can happen where you just simply get a badly cast tyre that isn't perfectly round or has imperfections. Also are you sure the alignment is correct?? You wouldn't be the first to have a dodgy alignment. If you can answer some of these questions then we may be able to shed some more light on the problem.   18. Yes you do read right about having lows in the front and super lows in the rear to make the car sit perfectly level. I actually did the development work with my suspension supplier on this. Make a very noticable difference to the way the car handles. As for the insurance so long as you don't lower the car under the legal limit you shouldn't have a worry. If your insurance company doesn't allow you then find one who will. By using lows and super lows you are still some 15mm higher than the permitted 100mm legal height.
  19. Followed one of these along the Gateway mwy this morning. Looks a bit like the new model Rex from the back. The front looks very noice indeed. It was a GT Four model.

  22. Northy and I have removed one and fitted the stock airbox back into the car in about 25-30 minutes in the dark with a mobile phone as a torch!!
