  1. mmmm 750kg camper trailer and about 3-400kg in the back of the Hilux...... no worries!!!! Goes about the same speed empty as what it does loaded LOL
  2. Mate i drive a Hilux so I guess my dyno sheet will be waaaayyyy different to anyone else's. Just wish I had the 120 odd KW my Sportivo had at the wheels.....
  3. If you want a forum sticker them PM me as i have plenty to get rid of!! $10 plus postage to your door!!
  4. The stock headers are 4-2-1. Where you see the pipes collect at the flange the mid pipe section is actually divided into 2 sections. So while it looks like one big pipe it is actually 2 half pipes inside that re fed each by 2 cylinders. It is an effective way to do it and also where space is at a premuim. the divider in the mid pipe is about 500 mm odd long. So while the actual headers look like 4 -1 they are paired to feed each side of the divided section in the mid pipe.
  5. the majority of headers will bolt up to stock system but some of the US ones wont as they require removing the mid section and cat convertor and relocating the cat. If you are coming up to Qld and are going to get CES to do your cat back then ask and see if they will do a deal on both the cat back and the headers as it is easy to do when the exhaust is off the car. As for weapon R headers they showed dyno sheets of their "race" headers making gains as well but when independently tested nobody really got the same results.....
  6. Quality wise they are pretty good but not as good as Koni's.
  7. Happy birthday for today to Corzza!!! Have a good one Pete.
  8. I find this group buy a little disturbing firstly as I didn't organise it nor did I say I was going to organise it. I simply told a member here in a PM that if he knew of a few others who wanted a whiteline strut brace I may be able to get a better price. Simple as that. I do not appreciate this one little bit am quite angry to say the least. Those members involved who have been PM'ing me about whiteline stuff can now simply go elsewhere to source stuff because you have done your dash with me and I do not wish to deal with you as you have shown me that you are not to be trusted. I am not here to sell stuff and try to under cut our forum sponsors just to make a sale. If you want the items I can source then that's the price and that's it. If our forum sponsor can supply for a good price then that's great but the fact that some members here went behind my back to organise this group buy without even asking my permission makes me quite angry to say the least. You know who you are and I do not wish to name names in public but if this happens again to me or anyone else then the moderating team will be taking action.
  9. Boge are basically an aftermarket replacement for OEM stuff. They do have some performance orientated products but am unsure if they would have anything available for our cars. Mainly European cars run Boge.
  10. Dylan by putting the super lows in the rear with the spring itself having a slightly heavier rate it controls the rear better on bump and stops the rear of the car getting untidy on mid corner bumps that would have normally upset the car and caused substantial oversteer. The bonus of having the car sit level is that you also eliminate the massive weight transfer to the outside front wheel during heavy cornering which also can result in understeer due to the bum of the car sitting up so high. By doing this on my car it handles 100%better and when you corner hard the rear follows where ever you point the front. It no longer has a mind of it's own and does it's own thing. If you want a front wheel drive car to handle well you stiffen up the rear within reason and leave the front relatively soft so as to keep the wheels on the ground and not loose traction. I only ever set the koni's on the front to jut under 3/4 to hard and that's more than enough. the only other mads I had were front strut brace and a heavier rear sway. both of these certainly added to the car's handling improvements and made it a real easy car to drive fast.
  11. CES (sorry couldn't resist LOL)
  12. I think this device is for drivers who don't watch where they are going when it's raining and drive into creeks and rivers. It's good to know when you do that your filter is nice and dry.... Shame these weren't around when MAP81 put his car into a dam Do Injen show some dyno proof or whatever that they don't restrict the intake??? Just a few questions that popped into my head whilst reading this thread.
  13. We are trying to track down Kyle not the car.
  14. Northy and I are trying to track down Kyle as we speak.....
  15. If you measured at the flange on the axle back the pipe diameter(inside and outside) actually does decrease a bit when it gets to the flange itself. don't ask me why but that's how toyota made it LOL.
  16. It's not 2 inches mate cause it is actually a metric measurement that is close to 2.25". I cannot remember what it was off the top of my head but I too measured it with digital verniers as that is the only really accurate way to measure it.
  17. Make sure the muffler is sitting on the mounts straight and not crooked. The tips do angle down ever so slightly so as to give enough clearance to avoid heat damage to the rear bar.
  18. You prolly will need to get a lot of those mods blue plated by an engineer as the suspension has been altered from factory specifications. As tough as it does look with all the good stuff on it(that list is very impressive and expensive!!) you will find that some of the mods done make the car uncomfortable to drive and annoying. Like not fitting in undercover car parks for one!!!! Trust me as someone who owns a Hilux(SR5 99 Dual cab) sometimes the overkill factor such as this make the car a pain to drive on the street. It would be great off road but are you going to be driving more off road or on road?? this is the question i asked myself when i bought mine earlier this year and opted for something more stock looking but with nice added extra's. (canopy, tray liner, bullbar, spot lights, H/D tow bar etc etc)
  19. Pump the rear guards and fit some 265 with a nice big deep dish rim.
  20. 351 take a hike boy we can do without peeps like you here. <_< All i did was reply to the question asked with a product that worked for me and a lot of others on this forum. Anyway ralyart do you have pics of the intake side of things on the 2zz in the MR-S?? I'm guessing it is some form of short ram style intake?? Be keen to see how you've done it.:)
  21. CES FTW yO LOL. If you want that kind of power there is 3 cars I know of here in Brissy with that kind of power figures. Only one has a PFC the others are CES catback, TRD/CES CAI, CES headers and well maintained with good quality lubricants.
