  1. Saw my old car for the first time this morning since selling it. Still looks good apart from the LHS side skirt copping some abuse from a car park garden edge. It will either need a major repair or replace. New owner is absolutely loving it and just had a major service done and got it tuned on the dyno apparantly and was telling how blokes in Commodores hat being beaten by it. I just smiled and agreed then listened as it drove away...... ahh the memories......
  2. How good are you with a jigsaw???
  3. Obviously it must have been a 1zz as he was getting beaten by the Alfa
  4. As the title suggests I am after a pic of the engine bay and the car itself for a project I am currently about to embark on. If anyone has pics from the National Meet in june of my car whether they are really good or just average please PM me and arrange to send em on. I am in particular after a good pic of the engine bay as I actually don't have any myself. Any help would be appreciated. I will post up some pics of the final product as well. Cheers SB Pic of the car Pic of the engine bay for those who can't remember what it looked like!!
  5. I like sunroofs but when you have no hair on your head sunburn becomes and issue.!! Brandon one thing I loved when I had a DC2 Integra was the sunroof. On a cold night you crank the heaters up till it gets hot enough to find it hard to breathe then open the sunroof and away you go. Nice and warm in the car with just a lil bit of nice cold fresh air to breathe in. Also it stops the windows from fogging up too. Enjoy and hope it never leaks cause that IS a pain in the proverbial....
  6. Pretty sure this has been covered. DO a search mate it'll be there.
  7. Happy birthday DHC09!!!!! Hope you have a great day Dave!!
  8. If i was to do the job list you asked it would cost you roughly $250. full detail(inside, outside, engine bay and under guards, door jambs) plus shampooing seats. depending on how much extra needs to be done on paintwork may involve more time and therfore a bit more $$$. i may be a bit dearer than some but you get what you pay for. i also only normally do enthuisasists cars/show cars/hot rods/ race cars. But i guarantee my work to satisfy you and the car would look as good as new. then take it to a show and win LOL
  9. Fixed!!! Hahahahaha nah I'm just messin' with ya Bren  Did they have one of those giant inflatable fort things that you run along and fall off into the pool and smash the weedy kids off?? Those things are the shiz. Nah they didn't but they did allow bomb dives so you can who won that competition.... And yes i did snap a few weedy little turds into the pool with some tackling that'd earn me a spot on a NRL team....
  10. Any more news on when this will happen?? 2007 ,2008,2009...... Winners i think could be picked from nominations submitted to mods with a few criteria that should be met. EG - been a member for a certain length of time contribute to forum positively Have a post count over a certain number perhaps. So then they would submit pics of their car and we would have a bio sheet for them to fill out with a bit of a background about the member(name, birthdate, marriage, whether they are male/female, occupation etc etc. how they come to buy a toyota as well.
  11. but then some of us get paid to drive kids to an Aquatic centre for a whole day and eat their food and relax.... I love the end of year excursions. Haven't done a full days work for over a week!!!!
  12. there will be 20 shots to choose from with there being a variety of cars and colours. so for all you black Corolla owners there wont be 12 black rollas in the calendar unfortunately:( Maybe just 1 or 2 perhaps depending on voting.
  13. The headers are HPC coated to retain heat so no need to wrap em up. Plus they are all nice and shiny so why would I want cover them up BINGO!!! Some of the collectors are very ordinary to say the least. I have looked at about 6 or more sets of stock headers and some were rough as and some pretty good. To totally clean up a rough set to a nice smooth surface would porting a lot out of the collector area leaving some spots pretty thin. This in turn would reduce strength and create a weak spot which in time may crack or split. How do you like the way you can now just simply change at low rpm and have nice throttle response into the next gear. Also you can become lazy and not have to change down a gear to go up hills etc. All you have to do is squeeze the throttle a bit more. I personally think that these headers were the thing that made my Sportivo so much better to drive day to day and then if you combine them with cat back and CAI the performance gains will put a nice big smile on your face....
  14. They only sell the system complete as a whole package as it is all designed to work together. Many have tried to copy this system but nobody to my knowledge has yielded the results power wise with passing noise emissions levels. Some got reasonable gains but the system was loud and unbearable. If your on a budget and want a CES system either save up for it or be really really quick in the buy and sell section for a second hand system.
  15. well Superdave some of us don't have the luxury of sitting in front of a computer posting jibber jabber all day long.(in the voice of Mr T)
  16. In full size looks good but shrinking it and then opening it back up to a good size it's a bit grainy
  17. I have used pressure cleaners on rims for years and never done any damage so long as you're not a clown. If you want your rims to stay in an easy state of maintainence then firstly get them nice and clean then apply a coat of carnauba wax to the rims. This will make the rims easy to clean in the future as it protects the rim from grime etc and doesn't allow the grime to stick to the surface. I have done this for years and it makes wheels very easy to keep in good condition.
  18. Glad you are happy mate. Have we done a mountain run yet?
  19. You could run more boost but you definately would need some new internals that can handle it.
  20. New club stickers are available!!! PM me to get one sent to you. $10 plus postage. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=11709
  21. This is exactly what I'm talking about. Lots of people have hot cars but that is not enough. You need a hot clean car AND good photography skills (Likewise, good photography is useless without a good clean car - not necessarilly a modified car as proven by Stock). I'm not paying anyone out because I may not posess either of those things, I'm just stating that if all the pics aren't of Stock/BigBum/Northy quality (and some others are great too this is just off the top of my head) then the calendar is going to be very unappealing. Also, those doing group shots - be careful! If 1 car in a shot of 10 has dirty wheels (example) then the pic is ruined. I beg to differ here... If you have a rally car, you photograph it DIRTY ;) :P Or a Hilux in the middle of a state forest
