  1. Hey Xoom that makes aiming for 125 odd kw seems like childs play. Good work there!!! A Proper job will always yield proper results!!! Love that power curve and can't wait to see the next stage B)
  2. Don't really care Danz to be honest but please keep this thread on topic which is TRD headers otherwise it will be closed. If you have another topic you want to start talking about please start another thread about it. Cheers Silvabullit. :D
  3. I personally would advise that if you have never used a buff before then it's prolly not wise to try it on your pride and joy. Practice on some old peice of crap till you master how to use it properly and learn how not to make mistakes like buffing edges through the colour and the worst of all buff burn. I'd stick to hand polishing unless your paint really needs the abrasiveness of a buff. Much safer that way for your car and also for you. (unless your Rollamods cause he can do everything :P )
  4. I think I need a bigger shovel to remove all the BS that's going on in here.....
  5. Same dyno but 15 odd months apart plus Apexi safc installed and set to who knows what?? Far too many variables to blame one particular thing :o Yet again Rollamods your talking about yourself and your tools doing a job that nearly 90% of people on here could not do or do successfully. You should know better than to put ideas into peoples heads that could see them injurying themselves badly. Shure wouldn't like that hanging over my head :(
  6. dave if you can get me a deposit by next tuesday/Wednesday that'd be ok. As for total inc freight it would be $80 plus about $10 approx for freight to sydney depending on how good I can wrap em up lol. I will check my account tonight to see if any other deposits have come through. cheers SB:)
  7. Yep they are the headers the Celica boys won't use as they do have proven power loss.
  8. Roughly about a 9-15kw gain depending on the car. Toyota's build tolerances on the Sportivo are very wide so some cars gain more than others but all do gain much needed torque and also peak power. My car with TRD CAI, CES headers and CES cat back made 118kw atw at the last CES dyno day about 2 weeks ago.
  9. A Polo Gti with leather and a couple of small options will actually cost more than a Sportivo did new. ;) As for the Golf Gti it not even close.... Don't get me wrong these are great cars but the Polo with 2 doors is the biggest thing that stops me from buying one. And the wait list for a Gti Golf is the other
  10. If someone wants your eyelids then they'll get em no matter what. If they want mine then its 4 screws and their gone. I went the painting the eyelids on headlight protectors cause my car was only 3 weeks old and I picked up a rock that absolutely shattered the headlight protector(this was in the middle of surburbia ). It was then that i wanted eyelids but wanted headlight protectors. So the idea was born and thats why mine look like different to all others. Custom all the way baby!! :P
  11. you can come back so long as "that " dress stays in the cupboard...
  12. Hey mate your pretty good for an amateur!!! Looks good mate. Can't wait for thursday night to watch another Top Gear episode ;)
  13. Well at least you picked the best colour!!!!!
  14. does is this still where i pay? which bank? PM Sent. All deposits and payments are done through me now as Danthuyer is no longer a part of this forum. And yes it will fit an 03 Conquest:) dude have you received my deposit? ;) yes I have thanks!!! also price is $80 plus shipping for those who have misinterpreted. :D Yes it will fit an 03 conquest with aftermarket grille.
  15. the reason CF bonnets come under scrutiny of the police is that the cheap knock offs are rubbish. they break around the hinge mounts and bonnet catch and sheer off the car. Have seen pics of an accident and that was the cause. Bonnet just peeled up and straight into the windscreen. Bit hard to see when that happens. :P Unless your spending some big $$$ then I'd be steering clear of the cheapo copies as they flex and crack badly from what I have seen and after a while they look shocking. I know a guy up here in Brissy who does CF panels and accessories for race cars and he won't even touch the cheap stuff as the cost for him to repair these bonnets properly ends up being nearly more than what some of them are worth. So he just doesn't bother. So be warned... buy quality (Genuine C-one for instance) not some Taiwanese elcheapo fake that is bound to be more trouble than it's worth.
  16. Considering that your on your P's most of the cars that have been mentioned are gonna cost you all of your money to insure. Is200 is nice but not a performance car and as all other cars are performance orientated it comes down to your personal preference Do you like 2 doors or 4? Personally the 2 door thing wore off pretty quickly and becam a pain in the you know what very quickly. What you have to do is look for a car that you can afford to own NOT buy. It's all well and good to be able to buy a DC2 for instance but can you afford the insurance and servicing costs?? Same with most of the turbo cars. The insurance will kill someone your age. Be smart and don't buy a car with dreams of being the fastest and looking slick but instead buy something that you can afford and maintain relatively cheaply and enjoy driving without worrying about having an accident and not affording to get it fixed. Have you thought about a Sportivo?? Second hand one for about the 21k mark and prolly still under warranty unlike most of the other cars mentioned here. Cheers Silvabullit :D
  17. Sorry Brissy only. Sydney is a bit far to travel :P
  18. Yeah I have...... Dell laptops catching fire LOL :P
  19. Also if you are thinking about changing cams then it's not the same scenario as other cars. You will need to also look at replacing valves, retainers, colletts etc etc as the 2zz doesn't like it if you don't. Have seen a few who have changed cams and have had some problems with stretching valve stems and the like due to a change of cam with regards to the profile and also the rev range. It's not worth the risk in the long run as it could end up being an expensive repair bill :( Welcome to the forum anyway and hope you enjoy your stay!!
  20. The only problem is that these blower start to blow hot air after a short time as they also double as the cooling system for the Engine if it's petrol driven or cooling system for the electric motor. It would work but you need to get more fuel in to match the volume of air cause if you don't you'll end up with some Sunday pistons(very Holy!!)
  21. I'm pretty sure that 1st to 2nd should only drop you out of lift by about 200rpm on a very average change. Land it nicely and you will be hitting just over 6k.
  22. Happy birthday mate... thanks for the invite:) LOL
