Mate there is no substitute for German engineering :P A guy whom I used to detail his Monaro weekly had an RS4 give him a run and over the distance of a quarter mile(roughly) he got spanked. It wasn't until he was top end 4th did he start to reel him in with any real acceleration. Audi RS4/6 ----- sexiest wagon ever built.I'd love one!!!!! My customer's Monaro---- LS edit, headers, full exhaust system, SS inductions "Big Mouth" throttle body, cam change, new roller rockers, cam followers etc etc and a full Mafless tune ---- 270kw atw. As for modifying a RS6,RS4 or Golf.... there is a hell of a lot of stuff out there for them BUT not a big call for it in Australia due to the price of the car and secondly the demographic of society who can afford and own one. I for one have seen the results of VW's and Audi's with bolt on's and tunes and they are serious bits of gear. The big thing that I have noticed is how the German's make cars with serious torque from smaller capacity engines as compared to the Japanese.(without the need for elaborate forced induction)

Better check to see if you can buy directly off whiteline as last time I checked you had to be one of their direct wholesalers to buy straight from the factory. If you can't get a good price then I still may be able to get them for the same price as last group buy which was $160inc gst plus freight to where ever you are. Helcical is the way to go for smoothness of operation and Quaife is the one that I would choose. Not the cheapest but prolly the best. Been around for years and are used by a lot of off road racers that I know of and have been relatively trouble free and pretty much unbreakable.

I think the wattage on the fog lights is 55w from memory. Anybody care to correct me on this???? I could be wrong :P

All that I can say is that when my Kombi makes a return to the road I'll go looking for a R32 to stirr up and see if he takes the bait. Sportivo pedals are roughly about $120+ depending on the dealer. As for sway bars I find that replacing the front sway bar induces more understeer on rougher roads. The rear is a must but unless your on a smooth track the benefits of a front sway bar upgrade are minimal and aren't really noticable with daily street driving.

You can be fined for having the fog lights on. I've been lucky to get away with it on a few occasions but the the only legal use of fog lights in in adverse conditions. It doesn't matter if they are from the factory but this is what I was told by a mate who is a Cop in traffic branch. If you use them and the weather is of a safe acceptable condition they(Police if they want to be mongrels) can give you a ticket. Of course you can fight it but you'll need a good lawyer who has the ability to manipulate the law to suite your situation. As for the cannon..... enough said ;) But it does sound like a case of wrong place wrong time. Did they throw the book at the under age drinkers??? There the ones who should getting harrased as they are the ones who go around being little turds vandalising public property and cars parked out in the street.

Still looking for some sponsors of some trophies. If you would like to sponsor or work for a company that would sponsor a trophy then please contact me asap. Trophies cost $25 each to sponsor. Sponsors so far are CES, RBT Motorsport and Autobarn Logan City. Only 1 or 2 spots left on the dyno so be quick or miss out. There will be a whiteboard at CES on the day which will have the order of the cars on the dyno. Unless you specifically ask to be on at a particular time then you will just be added to the order as you arrive and pay your money. Some have requested particular times due to having to go to work etc etc. The show and shine judges have been organised and both have a lot of previous experience in judging cars at shows/displays. Guys/girls by all means if you have friends(Kyle relatives don't count :P ) then bring them along to watch but remember to enter the workshop you must have ENCLOSED FOOTWEAR otherwise you will have to stay outside. Check wheel alignment, wheel balance and tyre balance. Also check to see if the sway bar mounts are tight and all bolts holding the sub frame in as well. One Brissy member had a clonk in his front end and it ended up being a sway bar mount was very loose and close to falling off.

I think we need to do up a spreadsheet of all the exhausts that different people are running on their cars. Then list price,performance gains,what the system/muffler consists of as well as if it is legal noise wise.

Well seeing that Bangn hasn't answered my question about the muffler then maybe you in all your infinte wisdom can. Hope your wearing your clown suit tho :P Last time I checked the Spoon Muffler wasn't an axel back either ;) Unless you get someone to add the necessary pieces to make it one.

it's that what the 1/4 mile is... put it in gear and accelerate :P :D yeh doesn't look too flash but trust me it can go quicker than that, Wheels always have slower times due to them having one more or is it 2 more people in the car. They apparently also encountered some problems and had to do 7 consequtive runs in 10minutes which is obviously not good, if they had more time they could let the car cool down a little more between runs. ;) And a full tank of fuel as well ;)

Well paint them!! IT's not really that hard so just mask all the areas you don't want to paint and then prep the area you want to paint and then start spraying.
