  3. Sat Nav We recently had the Toyota in dash Sat Nav fitted with genuine Toytoa reversing camera we went with the in dash unit as we were after a multi disc player (we haven't worked out MP3 players yet), and a reversing camera and by the time we added it all up the difference in price between getting the full in dash unit and getting the 6stacker plus the reversing camera which uses the rear view mirror plus a decent GPS it was not that much extra plus gave the benefit of a larger screen for the reversing camera. After a few drives it is a real shame Toyota don't actually spend a little bit of time marketing this unit as it is quite good i-pod connection point
  4. Have made inquiries about timbering the interior for genuine parts I am probably looking at about $1600 plus the radio and HVAC surrounds otherwise had been quoted just under $900 for the lot from an aftermarket place in Melbourne, however need to remove the parts and send them to them. Brake Pads are due soon so I'll probably get the Bendix Heavy Duty, not sure whterh to bother with changing to slotted rotors or not. Any upgrades (apart from the Brake pads) are probably on hold until after Christmas due to the expense of the Tarago and it's extras
  5. Friday (Yes I am a but slow in updating now) Corolla - 80,000km service Tarago - Sat Nav and reversing camera fitted Saturday Tarago - Learnt how to use Sat Nav
  6. Legislation aside TTE sold 18x8.5 for the 36 series in Europe, they recommended 245/40/18 for them. TTE or Toyota Motorsprt as it is now are factory (or at least dealership) options in the UK http://www.tte.de/popup/TTE/cm_camry_V3_wheels.htm Hope this helps
  7. Alloy Wheels We chose the 16 inch alloys from the early (2002) 36 series Camry Sportivo. I got quotes on the price of tyres for 16 inch (GLi comes with 16 inch steel wheels) and 17 inch and the price increase for 17inch was far to great (approx. $80 per tyre for same spec tyres)
  8. Timbers We had the leather/timber steering wheel installed as we wanted a leather wheel Timber dash and gear lever we got the TPMS installed when we had the alloys fitted use it as a warning device rather than high performance monitoring of tyre pressures and temperatures, though when you do look at the changes in temp and pressure with regular driving it is disturbing Timber for rear sliding doors, it is disturbing that this JDM item is not included on even the Ulitima which has timber everywhere else, I thought it looked a bit cheap with the Ultima and V6 GLX just having grey plastic on the sliding doors. The front doors of course have the timber I just forgot to take a photo of them
  9. Leather Interior Drivers Seat Middle Row
  10. Photo's from the boot Fire extinguisher mounted on right side Horizontal cargo net good for holding the laptop still will taking a 'spirited' drive to and from work
  11. Getting up to 30,000km but alot of that was highway, I am a bit disappointed with them in the wet
  12. Attached is the switchgear difficult to get a good shot due to the angle as it is an MY06 the foglights are the latter shape a very expensive over $500 a piece compared with the pre MY06 which was in the $200's Overall I got very little change out of $1500 and I got 6 quotes
  13. Grey leather interior I'll get some photos of the seats and door inserts over the weekend but I had the factory leather gear lever installed and the factory leather handbrake installed
  14. 2005 build MCV36R MY06 Altise Ltd Simpson Red Grey leather interior 36 series foglights and factory switch gear Window Tinting from Solartint - their darkest legal most heat reflective Camry Sportivo Strut brace TRD Japan Air Filter Radiator Cap Petrol Cap Oil Cap
  15. 2009 V6 GLi Tarago Merlot Red Cream Leather interior Toyota Australia early 36 series Camry Sportivo 16 inch Alloys priced up tyres to go to 17s and the price increase was huge Toyota Japan (JDM) Timber interior like the GLX and Ultima including gear lever and steering wheel No smoking box Cargo net TRD Japan Air Filter Oil Cap Petrol Cap Again pictures will follow soon
  16. About time I got myself sorted with this photos will come soon. 2008 Corolla Levin SX manual Wildfire n(Red Black leather interior Toyota Australia Cigarette lighter cap Toyota Japan (JDM) Blue water repellant mirrors Chrome Strip on grille TRD Japan Muffler Filter Panel Springs Oil Cap Fuel Cap Toyota Europe Alloy pedals Horizontal Cargo Net Vertical Cargo Net Toyota Motorsport / TTE Steering Wheel Tyres are currenlty Bridgestone Adrenalins though disappointed with them they are due for changing soon looking at either Yokohama Advan Sport or Pirelli PZero Rosso
  17. 3 now V6 Camry Altise Ltd purchased new in 2006 Levin SX purchased new in 2008 V6 GLi Tarago purchased new in 2009 all have leather and all are red (of some form or another)
  18. Saturday's activities 09 Tarago - Swapped the ashtray for a the JDM "No smoking box" which works well for holding the mobile phone whilst recharging, still have to work out fitting the JDM cargo net. Almost finished the upgrades. Will do photos for the My Rides section soon 08 Corolla - Washed it through a car wash, they do not work well on hatch backs. Researched brake upgrade options from Europe. 05 Camry - Settled the baby seat in the back (after having moved the other two previously to the Tarago). Need to change brake pads soon.
  19. For a scare ask your local Toyota dealer what they are worth (brand new they are a bit over 1k each, seriously), unfortunately as they are the factory alloy no one thinks they are worth that much, if I am not mistaken Ascendant Rice picked up a set from a member here find out how much he paid for them as a guide
  20. Picked up the new V6 GLi Tarago on Saturday and had it tinted. Had the faux timber parts and the leather / faux timber steering wheel from a GLX or Ultima installed today, looks good. Photos will follow
  21. If quoting prices it would be an idea to note the exchange rate as this greatly affects the AUD prices and with the current GFC rates (and hence prices) are fluctuating greatly Current rate for buying Yen for TT at Westpac is 75.76
  22. Had my 70,000km service on the Corolla and had TRD Springs fitted
  23. Maybe this should be in the Buy & Sell section but it is probably of interest to most of us regardless of whether we are shopping or not http://www.tte.de/downloads/f1parts/Liste_...F1_Teile_FB.pdf Another use for Krudd's stimulation money
