  1. Is there anyone out there who speaks (or more importantly reads) Japanese that can help?
  2. looks good how is the colour and paint job now after a couple of weeks?
  3. Alternatively is there anyone out there who can read Japanese and tell us if there is an online order option with the Modellista site http://www.modellista.co.jp/ as for some reason Google translate doesn't work too well with the Modellista site
  4. 205/55/16 is the factory size for the ZRE as to price Bridgestone dealers (but you have to shop around) were doing Adrenalins in that size for $179 fitted and balanced less $5 per tyre if you are an NRMA member
  5. I have found Modellista is available through these guys in Germany http://www.trc-tuning.com/index_shop.htm but they are quite expensive, I was looking to see is I could find a cheaper option (preferably one here in Australia)
  6. :o :o :o :o :o :( :( Any sicker and there would be some vomitting. Seriously though the altezzas look better on darker cars as Mr Spillage has shown White or silver looks too washed out. Also there are several different styles of Altezza around for the ZZE some look good and some look dodgy as.
  7. Just to make this a bit clearer both insurances are 3rd Party The Greenslip is Compulsory Third Party Insurance it covers injury your vehicle may cause to other people (a Third Party) and is required before you can renew your rego (the Compulsory part) The third party that mannyMANNYmanny is refering to is most likely Third Party Property which covers damage to other vehicles street signs and trees and anything else other than people
  8. Full sic bro Can't wait to see that at Brighton le sands on a Friday Night
  9. There is a tolerance range from market value, I don't know what it is, but I do know if you are giving the car away say as in to your child they will charge you market value (I saw this happen one time at the RTA as a father was transferring the car to his son and could not understand why he had to pay stamp duty, I left before security was called)
  10. Check that Remus is spelt correctly on it
  11. Anyone know where I can buy Modellista parts in Australia?
  12. Ask if there is something similar for a five dor, TRC sell alot of different kits
  13. If your after something a nit more exotic try snake a-la Honda http://www.dragsource.com/index.php?navsel...rticletoview=33 http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/carsnake.asp
  14. I would say it would have to be for looks rather than any sun protection otherwise they would be getting it done up north or in WA, wouldn't they?? Back in the day a vinyl roof was only for look anyway (weren't they??) I'll check with Dad tomorrow he had one on his XP Falcon (some time in the late 60's)
  15. Nice touch with the Auris badge on the back. Are you going to get the Auris door sills as well (either just brushed aluminum - Europe or with lights - JDM)?
  16. I have the same model V6 Altise Limited As everyone has said shop around for your insurance (and shop around every year) we are with NRMA, we looked at packaging (house and Contents and car insurances with the one) and it actually turned out cheaper to have them seperated I use Caltex 98 (I can't remember what it is called but the garage is two streets away so very handy Dad used to race cars so I learnt a lot from him but due to being locked in with a dealers extended warranty plan we have to have it serviced at the Toyota Dealer that we bought it from
  17. Just remember to check your insurance how far you can lower before you start lowering
  18. Nice work congrats on being brave enough to choose a colour other than red, it looks good

  20. Its JDM Auris, they all have it except for the base model.. Couple more which inspired me :D are they both 17" rims guys ? i'm looking to buy these one. the white 3 door corolla one and grey one. The wheels are most likely Toyota Motorsport "Pitlane" which are available in 16, 17 and 18 inch http://www.tte.de/popup/TF1/cm_auris_E15_wheels_TF1.htm
  21. We have the same issue. I'll let you know how we fix it, we are getting our Tarago in June and will need anchorage points in the rear from day 1. When we looked around for a people mover and asked why Toyota did not have third row anchorage points, Toyota dealers kept saying it was a safety issue. When we pointed out that Volvo (as the international safety gurus) and Ford Territory (definite ADR compliance) both had them and that the boot of a Tarago was probably about the same size as (or bigger than) that on a Yaris which have anchorage points they copuld not really give us any further answers.
  22. They are all gone I recently did the search with my dealer. Turned up one in country NSW but when it was delivered turned out to be a standard muffler in the sports muffler box
  23. I got caught out a few years back I had a set of plates on the once of fee arrangement I had sold my car so put them into storage at $50 per year for one year and then got a company car which I couldn't transfer the plates to so I did the sums it would be 3 years before I would be able to use the plates again so I thought 3 years at 50 per year equals 150 which from memory at the time was more expensive than the one off fee so I let them expire and planned to get new ones when I got a new car, but low an behold they decide to bring in an annual fee
