    Whats the point of FWD turbo cars? Hard to drive, if I wanted a turbo I'd get a WRX. FWD and atmo high revers are the way to go - intergras, stivos etc. And 40 grand to a turbo SP23? No thanks? 36-7 grand tops and knowing mazda they like to charge the most they can. ← It's not just Mazda that are overcharging, look at the GTi... I the XR5 and VXR will be priced the same as well.

    Nothing has been officially released, but you're looking at a competitor to the Ford XR5, HSV VXR and Golf GTi. So it's going to be $40,000+

    I agree with Ash's opinion. I'm not saying that the SP23 is weak by any means, but the Sportivo does have a lot more power, even though it's above 6000rpm. The SP23 has more torque and has a very balanced and stiff chassis, which makes it a lot of fun to drive in the twisties. If you want straight line speed, the Sportivo is the car for you.

    Chillout mate. I'm not here to start a flamewar. Since when does the term drivability not mean "how easy it is to drive"? This guy is looking for a daily driver, so i don't think "racing drivability" is that high on his agenda.

    Err.. SP23 is a much easier car to drive. I don't want to get into any arguments so I'll just say, go and test drive both and decide for yourself. ← How? I remember looking at the SP23 vs Stivo dynos, and torque is much the same isn't (on the stivo's first cam)? I only drove an auto SP23 and it was darn slow. ← Which dyno sheets were you looking at? Dyno's aren't very accurate at measuring torque anyway. Of course, don't get ATX..

    Good to see you love the Mazda family! The design of the new MX-5 is fantastic.. I especially like the way they pushed back the engine behind the front axel to improve cornering/weight distribution. Looking forward to seeing it (and you.. haha)

    The turbo model only came out towards the mid/end of the old MX-5 model's life. Mazda seems to do this with all their turbo models, as seen with the 6 MPS as well, to revitalise the old model before sending it out. I'm lookin forward to seeing the new MX-5, it has recieved a lot of positive reviews.

    Hey guys, I posted a thread on our forums and I got replies instantly! The Mazda6 you guys saw on Sunday is interested, so is the red SP23 (Merah) and myself. Merah wants to bring a few mates along, they have the following cars: eg6 siR, DC2R, DC5R, MR2 AW11, R32 GTs4. I hope that's ok... I'd love to see the Tegs vs Sportivo.. :D

    ..... and the new Barina's, and like 1ZZ said, yeap its all in good fun. ..... i.e. the new Mazda3, Focus, Peugeot 307 and Volvo 40 share the same platform and interior. That makes them muts. :D ← The Pug 307 doesn't share the C1 platform. I've got 4 Mazda3's lined up if this runs after uni exams. Prices sound pretty reasonable. Can you find out how much helmet hire is? Thanks guys..

    They had issues with the ECU dude, it sensed that the rear wheels weren't spinning so it went crazy. BTW: If anyone has any pics of the Mazdas, can you please email them to me, as I'd like to post them up on our forum. My email addy is chompieschompies@hotmail.com Thanks!
