  1. ill assume brake booster? the designs are different. i cant remember if the ae92 had a build in proportioning valve ke7x ae9x
  2. had konig rewinds on my corolla once upon a time
  3. if its just the muffler, it wont be very loud, assuming the model corolla you have has a centermuffler/resonator. cat back would make that **** loud, depending on the gear you use.
  4. As yes, the 5M motor Best bet would be the guys on toymods.org.au if you check it on petrol do you smell it when on idle? one of my injector seals cracked and the petrol smell is very strong, even in the cabin.
  5. assuming its a C5* series gearbox: clutch plate? pressure plate? clutch fork? clutch fork throwout bearing?
  6. 91ulp is still cheap, not worth the trouble..
  7. scratch or gutter rash? http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/tyre-alloy-wheel-section/59965-diy-alloy-wheel-scratch-removal.html
  8. haha $1500 for a 20v with box is cheap these days... its getting hard to find any 4ages these days. 4age would be good if you plan on driving between 4000-7200rpm all the time. imo a 7afe convo would be better overall daily driving for the said budget. The AE93R corolla RV 7AFE motor would be the best bet, motor should fit in (might need to grind abit off the block to fit the transfercase), engine loom should connect up (havent tried but they are from the same era/series, so should? anyways if your really after a 4age motor, i have a complete running 1986 AE82 Corolla Twincam series 2 (4AGE TVIS, 86kw on 91ron, etc... engine vgc, but 2nd gear syncro is farked) http://office.autospeed.com/cms/title_The-4AGE-Guide/A_2733/article.html $800 located in tullamarine
  9. not much out there, but the ae95 use the same front as the ae92/93 corolla and the rear from a ae86 sprinter
  10. gumtree.com.au the basic add is free, but having said that i have bought at least 3-4 cars and sold 2 off carsales in the past 7 years, but it was $20 back then lol
  11. iv had one of those cheap ebay chinese strutbaces ($45) and then bought a cusco one ($180). cheap one: put pressure with your palm and it will flex with little resistance cusco: very firm, needs lots of pressure to flex, inadddition the mounting brackets had 3x thicker metal
  12. when i did my radio in my old AE95, i went to pick a part, practiced on the ae92 (same dash) and cracked about 2 clusters lol... but mine came out nicely when i got the hang of it.
  13. yea, what you need to do is remove the whole instrament/gauge cluster surround (the black thing) a few screws holding it in, but easy enough to remove. (AE93) then there should be 4x screw holding the radio in
  14. depends on the value of the car/effort in my Corolla AE71 coverting from 4A-C auto to 4AGE manual i needed: Manual clutch cylinder, clutch line and slave Manual T50 Gearbox and Tailshaft (the sera wouldnt have a tailshaft but the auto/man drive shafts may be different?) Manual Pedal box (had to remove the whole dash, was a #$%$ to work with) RWD 4AGE (had Manual ECU, Flywheel/clutch, etc) inaddition had to drill 2 holes in the firewall for the clutch cylinder widen the shifter hole in the transmission tunnel (would assume u would need the manual shifter + cables for fwd) the whole conversion was easy enough, but it did cost me quite abit (very hard to find parts and expensive ae86 crap). not sure if the 4efe (c52?) starlet gearbox would bolt into the sera 5efe gearbox (c155?). if it does then the conversion should be alot cheaper if you bought a complete ep91 wreck for like $500 or something with rear dmg.
  15. not 100% sure on what parts are needed: check this link below for ae82/ae92 break upgrades http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/showthread.php?t=142
  16. cheapest bet is to go to a DIY wrecker, then compare with what you have. then buy any parts that are missing.
  17. in that case get a rwc check, if they dont pick up anything it shouldn't be a worry.
  18. apparently rota supply lots of stock wheels these days go with steel wheels to be safe
  19. normally something loose in the enginebay. however if your driving and the sound gets louder... just hope you still have warranty? could the the clutch
  20. its teh VVTiL! nah its the thermo fan coming on when the temp gets to a certain point. it will stay on until the engine cools down to a certain point then repeat then the coolent heats up again. it would be more frequent when in traffic but driving on freeways it shouldnt be so offten (or not at all). keep an eye on your temp guage.
  21. the drums should just come off, handbrake still on? normally i remove the drums to adjust it. if u want an upgrade, the AE82 Twincam have front vented disks and rear soild disks Found pics of my old 1988 AE82 Series 2 Twincam hatchback. had a AE92 4AGZE with 5spd LSD E58 gearbox. Nevo Pully running 14psi, 2.25" cat back exhaust (not too loud), VR4 FMIC & home made CAI w/ k&n panel filter. Superlow springs, kyb shocks & rear whiteline swaybar. Best $2500 ever spent.
