  1. some copies like the Koya Drift Teks (Taiwan) aka TE37 copy are pretty decent, commonly found on drift nissans. Had SSR Longchamps XR4's 3piece on my ae86, very light wheels, also very strong :S jdm wheels are superior, but could you justify them on a daily drive? $4000 vs $600...but id pay $1000-1500 2nd hand
  2. I use to run E10 in my AE86, it ran pretty sweet with more advance timing (the 4AGE had a 10.3 CR). however with in 3months the fuel filter and rubber fuel hose started to leak/split, might have just been luck? some people say the plastic in the older carbs maybe not last
  3. what i normally do is get the part number from AutoOne, then if they dont have it in stock go to repco/supercheap and magically find the same part.. anyways check the below link to some partnumbers for enginemounts for 4A ae82's http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_G_1986_TOYOTA_COROLLA_AE82R-EEHDCQ_1107.html
  4. lol how the hell do these ladies fit into that imiev
  5. funny yet truthfull review, however they seem to be expecting to much for the corolla i think.
  6. The ae82 had a mechanical fuel pump (4A-C). Maybe the ae90/92 4AF-C or 6AF-C carby might have a fuel pickup?
  7. why does everything need to be awd/4wd? mazda3 mps did well against evos and sti's (and to a lesser VW r32) it take skill to drive fwd , having said that i prefer rwd anyways wait until 2016/2017? when the 15 year rule comes into play and people start importing the 2001/2002 model Focus RS from overseas
  8. yeah ae71/ke70 wagons or all rwd corollas where last made in 1985 assuming ur somewhere in Aus, on tradingpost/wreckers expect pay $500+ if u find one on internet forums or ebay $1000+ modding suspension would be expensive, have u thought about those similar looking subaru L series 4x4 (Leone) wagons? as for the ae95, i dont find them that ugly :( well my old one anyways amd older 3sfe rav4 would be a better option for a 3sgte convo... has been done almost as good as the mitsubishi rvr's
  9. yup, the last place i would look for buying (another) ae86 is online. most online sales have been TAXed up, unless your looking for an imported one or with a 4age (or better) engine. otherwise look at your local wreckers for some.
  10. i paid $1.60 for 95 yesterday and its like $1.68 for 98 ultimate
  11. i used e5 for about a month b4 my fuel filter started to leak (less than 2 months old)
  12. try and find a wrecker to do a swapover with. paid $900 to get my falcon motor swapped over with a 120,000kms motor. prev motor had 360,000kms and a crack head

    MR2 Help

for a first car... its not worth the money
  14. id use ra40 tie rods and tie rod ends (outer) ($8ea at pick a part, $15ea new) Cressida mx50 (early early 80's) lca ($25ea at pick a part) front s13 coilovers ($300-800 2nd hand) front ca18 hubs and brakes ($50-200, sr20det brakes for huge upgrade) on car adjustable castor arm ($200ish new off ebay or from japan) ae86 strut tops (like the adj camber cusco ones, around $300new)
  15. in melb, any modifications to the braking system will req a engineering certificate
  16. if u want to improve handling then u might as well save up for adjustable damper coilovers... not only can u adjust the height, u can also adjust the damper settings depending on road/driving conditions...
  17. for normal driving or for a fast car? id rather get a commodore SS (5.7lt) hell id rather get a lancer evo
  18. wouldnt a strut brace make the prius more ridged? thus making it shake even more? or more harsh over bumps
  19. haha, i remember reading some where those new taragos where running mid 14's, now powered by the aurion engine... is this 2wd rwd or fwd? wouldnt mind getting a 4wd one
  20. uh... japan.. try import wreckers and see what they can get you... other wise check yahoo auctions (in japanese) www.twincam.info sometimes has 4age go fast bits
