  1. Hey DJ, Sorry to hear about your baby. Been off with the flu so a bit behind on the forum. Sounds like it's all steam ahead now mate. Spied :o
  2. Yes I know deanja....... Have Camry, sorry,. well not too sorry. :-p But the Aurion forum has great info! DJ is a great help though! :P
  3. Thanks again DJKOR. Will have a look tomorrow. The IT chaps here have locked a lot of sites like Ebay and U tube. So access was denied. CBE. ;)
  4. What a shame. Oh well, will have to search around and see if I can get some sort of LED tail light for my gen 6 Camry. Or maybe just after market or wrexker lens's and just run LED's. Thanks DJ.
  5. My late 96 Gen6 Camry has faded white sections in the quarter panel sections of the taillights both left and right. I was wondering if you guys could tell me if these tail lights would fit my model as the Aurion body shares a bit with mine. I am already running and A/M Aurion style spoiler. Also a link to the singapore seller and price if these may fit? Sorry to be a pita. Spied. PS: They look great! B)
  6. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...c=26319&hl= Check this thread...
  7. Thank you. Yep a newbie type question. I googled it and think it's sounds the go, as all my 96 has had is washes and one go over with Mc Guires after I picked it up. Just wish I had somewhere cool to detail it. Wanted to polish it last weekend here in Sydney, but it was a stinker. No good for applying wax. Spied
  8. I think it is some form or product to remove road tar and blemish'e prior to polishing and have noted it on the forum. Just don't know the product or process. Night all.
  9. If you measure the dimensions and pop into a Jaycar shop, you may do okay. They have some pretty cool switches there too. Spied.
  10. Just my 2 cents worth. I am fitting the "fog" lights to my Gen 6 Camry and I am in Sydney..... But I work nights at a place called Erskine Park and driving home at 2.15 a.m. we get a lot of fog on Mamre Road. So for me it is a real safety thing and not a "*****" thing. CBE. Spied
  11. Thank you all. Will look into that when the bills die down.........
  12. Also, sorry about my poor spelling in my posts. Don't type and look at the screen. Damn 3 finger typist. Has this forum got spell check? Has just about every thing else? Spied
  13. Can anyone point me to more on tis electronic rust protectopn that is being mentioned? My poor old Camry lives outside, no carport and has been a Budget rent a car prior to me, so was outside all the time then. Front bumper, left side skirt, rear bumper are all damaged some what. Plus a series of realy tiny dimples near the drivers door handle, no idea how that happened and some 4 mm dents in a group around the middle of the rear RHS door. Wish I had a mate that was a panel beater! Thanks guys. Spied
  14. Unfortunatly I cannot view the pic's here at work. Will look at home on Thursday. My 2006 Gen 6 Sept build has a square section on the lower right dash panel, which is where I will put my spottie switch. My sister in law has the sportivo Gen 6 and the spottie switch is on the headlight switch stalk so that will be a big job to swap out I think. I went to an auto elec and he will charge me $120 to fit and wire up my fog lamps. I bought mine from the US for around $70.00 Aud and it was also 70 for the shipping. Came with the 55 watt globes, all wiring, relay, switch and plastic surrounds. Unfortunatly one of the clips was broken but good old two pak Araldite fixwd that. I also bought some 100 Xenon globes for it for around $20 aud delivered. Not sure if I can run them, may be to hot? Will ask the electrician when I can spare the cash to do it Spied
  15. Thank you very much! Spied
  16. Why "scary"? You seen my picture? :-)
  17. Hi again. Tried the FAQ and have now got the download started. Sorry for being a twit. Is this the latest you guys have found? Pretty good for 2009. How is our head unit going DK? It was the Winet4.7 version? Thanks again. Spied
  18. Hi DJ, just had a look at the FAQ forum link and went to the page. Signed up an account but cannot find a download link. Am I missing something? http://tinyurl.com/ykxar7k Also I have noticed in the Aurion FAQ there is info on reversing signal instalation. It's a great FAQ section. My question is that I have a late 2006 Altise, Gen6?, CV40 and figure that the wiring in the boot as per the link would be the same? I think the cars share a lot in bits and bobs. Sound right? http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=22556 Thanks for any help. Still waiting for my Head Unit to get to China as posted a few days ago, but thought I may and download the IGO8 you found in the hope it gets fixed and returned, not lost.... Thank you. Spied
  19. BTW Here is a link to the FAQ about head units. It is EXACTLY the same unit I bought on Ebay for 500 Aud del, Auspak...?? charge 900. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=15546
  20. Okay the post by me from last week was about my head unit I bought off Ebay. It cost about 500 Aud delivered and replace the cars unit as if factory made. It plays DVD,Wma,Cda,Mp3 and Mp4. Has reversing camera, blue tooth, IPOD CONNECTION, Sony CD Stacker Input, Tv - Analouge not digital, Sat Nav and Aux in. Sound is good, 45 x 4 channel and allows the use of the steering wheel controls. Have a search under Ebay with Camry Satnav 2007 to 2009 and you should see a few. Problem is if you have a drama you have to send it back to China. I have seen some one in Melbourne selling these but I dare say he is getting them from China as well and his mark up was around 300 or so. Also note that my unit started playing up about 6 months after install and I am in the process of a warrantie return. Good luck. Spied
  21. Okay gang. The seller contacted me and so on Saturday I removed the head ubit and put the standard unit back in. PITA that I found a missing bolt and clip, from when the unit was "profesionally" installed. There is also some surface rust on the metal sections under the centre console. The standard head unit sounds like crap after having the other unit in. Keep in mind that if you buy from O/S returns cost big $'s. $74.00 to mail it back to China. Will let you know how Autome looks after me on the repair. Spied.
  22. Just thought I would give you all a heads up. I bought a Head unit on Ebay in August last year From Hong Kong for my Gen 6 2007 Camry Altise, 2.4. About two weeks ago it started playing up. It looks exactly like the unit for sale in melbourne I have seen posted in this forum and runs all the same stats, so I am guessing the one from Melbourne is probably sourced and resold ex- Hong Kong. The unit itself looks great and was plug and play as described, allowing the steering wheel controls to be used etc. But as stated, about two weeks ago the Satnav component started to play uo, it has a 7" touch screen and it was "jumping" all over the place as if the screen was being "touched" Then last week the DVD/CD player and the radio sterted doing the same thing, so the unit is pretty much usless now. It came with a 12 month warrantie and so I logged onto Ebay to contact the seller, Voway. He was a "powerseller" but is no longer listed! So i searched for a similar unit and found one for sale that was identical in every aspect of the ad including text and photos. Seller is Autome. Contact the seller and got a reply 3 days ago, with him/het using thier hotmail account, lo and behold it was Voway, the same person who sold me the unit trading under another name. To be fair to this person, it is a holiday over there and Voway said I would be contacted soon. I have since heard that the software the Chinese use is a bit dodgy but am hoping the unit can be returned for warrantie/repair. Loved the look, sound, bluetooth and reversing camera. Plus it was a factory type fit. Will let you all know how I get on. I also bought an Aurion style rear spoiler from a lady in QLD painted and delivered for a tad over 200. Had it put on, looks the biz. Much better than that little "lip" spoiler that is the only factory option. Finnish was good, it was made in Taiwan. Just have to be careful when closing the boot now as it tends to slam as the extra weight is an issue. The car itself is great. An ex rental that I picked up with 95k on it for free! It has a rumble in the front that is annoying and loader when going through sweepers. But theer is evidance of the car being "curve hopped" and my mechenic believes the wheel bearings are to blame. No apperaet "play" though so he thinks I shoud just put up with it for now until I have the spare cash to get it done. Anyway chaps, chat soon. Spider Sydney Australia.
  23. Hi all. Can anyone point me to a wiring diagram on-line or scan and mail me at rc36ride@aapt.net.au a place to tap into the wiring for a power source when the car is put into reverse? I cannot locate one at present. It is to power a reversing monitor and I woul rather run it from in the cabin at the dash. Thank you for your ideas. Steve 2001 Tarago ACR30
  24. Hi all. Been a while. Any one know the way to safley remove the front bumper from a 2001 ACR30 Tarago? Looks a bit daunting. Mine has a large crack and I would like to repair it, without a reapair shop. I have used Plastex repair on my 87 VFR Honda with great success but have been told by a bike list that this will probably not be suitably for the "ABS"? plastic of the Tarago. Some one else sugested MEK to mely the joints. Ideas please? Thank you for you time. Helpfull list here. Spied
