  1. TY for posting this, its good to know they are here now personally I try to go genuine always when I can, but at least there is an alternative available when the money is in short supply as it is right now with petrol and food prices through the roof.

    Thanks mate appreciated

  2. Hi Ben, I believe the best practise is to follow the approved viscosity for the engine it will say what type to use in your owners manual and I think from memory on a label in the engine bay, usually it is a 5W-30W oil or 10W-30W used. I only use fully synthetic at 5W-30W in my Aurion. I think there are a few sales on right now with good discounts for good quality oil in places like Repco Auto-barn Supercheap and I am sure there is a post in here in General Discussions section with links to the sales

    Hope that helps mate.

  3. Hi, If there is no button on the remote there is no remote boot opening the only actual cable would be the one from inside the car to open the boot lid, I would imagine unless there is wiring in place already it would be a very expensive and complicated job to add a remote button boot release and the car would not recognise any other remote to operate the boot opening. I don't know the Avalon well but is there a button under the boot lip to open the boot? that may be the wiring your seeing.

  4. Hi Greg, Yes both are wonderful car's, naturally the Supra is a bullet and love the styling of the latest release. As a Presara owner myself I love the comfort quiet and reliability of our lady, I have had my days of wanting a bullet car and owned a few inc a 1969 fastback Mustang but now days it is all about comfort smooth quiet drives and travelling in style and the Presara offers all that and best of all the fuel economy especially these days of massive fuel prices is also a winner.

Glad your a happy camper with both of your cars mate maybe post us some pic's of that beast you won we love to see others cars.

  6. Hi Matt, Yes mate these so called lifetime never open to change fluids or filters transmissions are a sales pitch only, what is a lifetime? 5 years? 7 years? Glad you managed to get some new fluids and filter into it, but I bet the cost of the replacement pan and filter combination wasn't fun.

  7. Hi all, Have been chatting to Campbeam (Ashley)today who is on a well deserved road trip to Southern NSW, he had a  massive oil cooler line failure and fortunately this happened in a major city so he can access Toyota Workshop Services and Parts under extended warranty. He asked me to pass on to all to keep an eye on your oil lines and any engine bay oil leaks just so you can get things fixed before a major failure occurs as once they go it dumps oil very fast.

At least he is on holidays and safe as it would have been horrible had it happened on a highway miles from anywhere, so just check if your mechanically minded or have your mechanic do a check of all your oil lines on your Aurions especially (as this is Campbeams car) and actually all of your cars as oil being the life blood of all of our vehicles

  8. Hi Susan and welcome to the forum, I think if you can list all you have in one go would be best, there is a section on main page for items to sell or buy. I am sure if any want to grab a manual they will contact you for the prices and how best to get it too them. TY for letting us know you have some manuals available and being the older models of Toyota most not available anymore.

Good Luck and let us know if you need any further help at all

  9. Yes mate watched it, he explains it so well and you can tell the expertise he has dealing with difficult things to remove before getting to the pump. The new one as he said is a better version so good to keep it noted in case a replacement is needed. A great channel to watch for information and advise

    Ty for posting

  10. I see a lot on Ebay or from Amazon for Camry's but good question Charles, I don't see any reason why they would not be available as they do help keep the road grime dirt mud etc off the back panels. It maybe worth a few phone calls to other Toyota Parts dealership and let us know the outcome

    Good luck

  11. Yes Tony we all know who, It is the Martians they are always to blame 😆😎🤣

Yes I also watched AMD The Car Care Nut's video on counterfeit items and some you can easily see the difference between genuine Toyota and the fakes others gee they are just the smallest things written or the font used so they are really good fakes. I will always go genuine when doing oil services as I consider the peace of mind is worth the money. Things like cabin filters I can live buying the cheaper ones as I change mine fairly regularly I can handle the fact they are not genuine however I always make sure to stick to a few brands that are carbon filters.

One day we will be sitting in our rocking chairs blabbering about the days we had petrol cars and how we looked after them.

  12. Hi Jas, yes I would be frustrated as well my OCD would focus on the holes all the time. I assume you mean the Toyota Logo Badge, if not let us know which one. Besides going genuine from Toyota Parts I would be online with E BAY, there are always many on there click Australia only on your search and you should see a lot. Besides that maybe even the Gumtree sites in your area even auto wreckers or Facebook market place. I am sure you will locate it as it isn't a rare or expensive item and should be loads of them around,

Let us know how you get on, an if you need any more help.

TY Mate, Yes will put up some Photo's when I get to doing it, I also thought of using the primer and rubbing back even though the Rust Oleum has it included so will see how things look once I remove the grill wash it and rub it back. Faye is getting her service and road worthy next week so will see how that prices out before buying everything from Bunnings. Then a project in place as my lady says she wants too see me sweating LOL told her that her health issues have me sweating enough right now LOL

Thanks again Tony always a pleasure talking with you my friend
