  1. H4 Bi-xenons were $305 delivered for me. Which some would think is pricey, but the quality (both product and packaging) is amazing.
  2. nice KEN33F, i notice the reflectors limited the foreground lighting too. i didnt know reflectors can do that haha. foreground limiter FTW ive got 4300K hid kit lying around too. i prefer the oem look :D Yeah, OEM look ftw! I guess it really depends on the reflector design. :)
  3. Heh, they are with the standard reflectors. Which isn't that bad at all, because there is a very visible cutoff (obviously not comparable to projectors, but very similar to the stock halogen). I'm not sure which Kelvin will glare more.. If you come to the meet, you might see a few different coloured HIDs, for you to decide on and get your answer.. LOL And 4300K isn't that yellow at all, I think it's just the pic. IRL, it's actually more of a clean warm white. When I park along side a Accord Euro (w/ HID), my colour of my beam output matches that of the Euro.
  4. Is that black box the delay module? It looks like it'll work! Let us know. :) And for those deciding on HID, this is what 4300K looks like:
  5. Those headlights are what we get here as standard for the Corolla, however he has painted the inner surround black. Anyhow, looking awesome as per usual! When are the new rims going on? :)
  6. This morning I spotted a black ZRE hatch parked at Lidcombe with an "Auris" badge on the rear, as well as a handful of different stickers on it's rear windscreen. Anyone here?
  7. Oh forgot.. spotted a white ZRE sedan with what looked like LED strips lined along the lower grille.
  8. Late post, but just remembered spotting a silver 06/08 Yaris YRX lowered on Sportivo stockies near UTS/Ultimo Tafe.
  9. Spotted a white facelift 1zz with full Sportivo bodykit include rear skirt travelling on Lane Cove Road at about 4pm today. It had aftermarket tail lights and was lowered on aftermarket rims.
  10. Nope, - 55w globe would just result in a brighter light due to the power provided. - 5500K globe simply refers to the colour temperature on the Kelvin scale. A couple of examples for you (in terms of HID): 1. You could have a 55w HID kit but the bulbs have an output colour of 4300K. <-- This does not make the output 5500K just because of the extra 20w, it will still be 4300K - just EXTRA bright and provide extra glare. 2. You could have a 35w HID kit but the bulbs have an output colour of 5500K. If you are going to get HIDs, please do not get a 55w kit..
  11. Sounds good Chicken! Interested to see how it turns out. On the hand, I'm no expert when it comes to electronics.. but with HID's, it's the initial draw to fire up the ballast that causes the most load on your wiring. Hence why some opt to go for a relay harness. Once the ballast is up, the constant 35w draw to the lights is fine. A harness is cheap compared to the potential damage that may occur in the future.
  12. KENNETH are those HDR effects? how did u do those :( i wanna learn Yes they are! However I'd love to learn to take them the correct way with a DSLR one day.. these are just some post-processing from images off a point and shoot. =(
  13. Thats also about the same for the 4speed auto. Was hoping the manual would be much lower. Guess the gear ratios are almost equal in both manual and auto. Yeah, it must be. It's more close to 2700 (possibly even 2600). Driving at 100km/h, I couldn't really take my eyes off the road and count the rev bars. LOL :P
  14. Oh yes, over the long weekend I hit 100km/h and it hovers at about ~2700-2800rpm over a flat stretch. This is for a 5spd manual YRS.
  15. Looks great! Very level! Keep the mods coming. :)
  16. Awesome shots! They all look like little toy cars! ahhaha
  17. Spotted a silver '03 Levin with eyelids and grille parked at the Sydney Fish Market today. Also spotted a ZRE with plates DIABLO at the same place. Later on spotted a light blue '05 1zz lowered with 17" white 5-spoke rims near Broadway.
  18. Saw a '05 1zz Corolla fly by me today with no number plates.. sounded like it had no muffler.. LOL
  19. Black '03 Sportivo dumped on chrome/silver wheels cruising along Olympic Drive towards Auburn this morning. Nice ride!
  20. Depending on the wheel, some 17's might be too heavy. 16's would be lighter, hence better performance as there's less load on your engine. Some say 16's are the sweet spot for the tiny Yaris, however 17's do look better! But since you said you're after JDM wheels, pretty much all JDM wheels are lightweight, so it shouldn't be an issue.. Just so you know, my 16" Work Emotions weigh in at 5.5KG each. =)
  21. Thanks everyone! @azzman372: I used a normal Sony DSC-T200. However the last 3 shots received some HDR manipulation. :) @Hidden Taco (HT): The carpark shots were at Lidcombe Powerhouse.
  22. Love the new wheels John! Yeah, quit teasing us and tell us. What's that Modellista ABS part? :P
