Man i am so sorry to hear this. I feel for you so bad! I would be busting some balls at whoever supplied you the turbo. Whatever you do don't give up just yet. Give it a bit and get back into it. A new engine will be cheaper than getting a new car given the $$$ you have already spent on the girl.

It seems like all you want to do is replace your alt. Take it to an Auto Electrician and get the to respool it. It won;t work but hey maybe it will make you happy.

first of all you don't buy a higher capacity alternator, you simply have your stock one respooled. this can take a 60amp alt up to about 100amp if required. this said unless you plan to run 10 amps your stock alt will work fine. if you kown anything about audio there are little things called capacitors which store power for peak usage of your subs that will work the trick under most circumstances. saves getting your stock alternator respooled. go here for an explanation and a price - http://jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=RU6752&keywords=capacitor+car&form=KEYWORD Welcome to TOC!

that is the TRD dash cluster relased by TRD japan - very cool cluster except for the price of about $900 aus. Production of these stopped on 2005 so i would higly doubt you would find a new one anywhere. your best bet is to keep your eyes peeled on ebay and yahoo.jp etc to find one second hand

So in other words upgrade to a Celica instead of a Sportivo? Even then that'll only drop a coulpe hundred rpm from a Sportivo at 120km/h. at 120 i only pull 3600 :) 3900 at 130 woot woot! celicas are defs geared better than stivos. buy a ss commodor and sit at 2000rpm at 160

Front left was one psi higher in pressure than the front right. both now reading even and seems to be working better. might be worth a rebuild on the calipers anyway as they have been slaving away for 180,000kms :) Cheers boys!

Hey Ya'll To begin with it's an SX it does not have ABS. Under heavy braking the left front wheel locks up, the right does not untill a bit more pedal is given. This bias to the left obviously causes pull to one side under heavy braking (without lockup) Any idea what causes this? Will a simple brake bleed work or is it time to rebuild the calipers? is the speedo cable plugged in correctly. sometimes it can come loose!

i picked up a full set of DBA rotors for an EVO 8 about a year ago for $390 so that seems very steep just for fronts in a reasonably small size!

i had this happen once in my 1zz corolla. i did a ECU reset and presto aircon working again!
