  1. There is a TC button in the lower section of the centre console (next to the 12v power supply plug) press it and the TC light ont he dash will come on.
  2. Most likely just the power steering pump. Are you at maximum lock when turning out of your driveway? The sounds is perfectly normal anyway.
  3. you reuse the ones that are on your vehicle buddy. bump stop, rubber boot and top hat all fit on the new strut
  4. I have a 2012 D4D SR5 Auto with a hard rear cover and average 8.8L per 100km/h. We ahve a fleet of D4D's at work and find that stylesides with torneau covers get the best economy. Traybacks alsways use about 2l/100km more than the stylesides.
  5. i bought a set of lift bolts off toyota here for $12.50 when i had my sillycar
  6. hey champ easiest way is to buy the toyota to iso harness that way all the colours match up nicely with the jvc stuff. the follwoing would work. http://www.superchea...550#Description iso wire colours are the same as JVC uses so you can cut the iso harness and just join the wires from the jvc plug onto the new harness. - that way you are not cutting any wires. FYI toyota radio harness wires have all been the same for about 15 years now. small and big plug - wire colours = check ithttp://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?391532-Toyota-Radio-Information
  7. man its been so long since I have made it up. Ill be there next week
  8. come on dani!!!! if anyone should know the reason the 2zz were dropped as an engine was that they could not meet emission regs as they did not have an electronic throttle. No 2zz has! :P
  9. short shifter is a waste of money IMO - get some brass bushings and get that nice crisp feel back. http://www.monkeywrenchracing.com/product_info.php?cPath=42_45_137&products_id=720 boom!

    Evo's 1zz

so is this thing fast yet evan?
  11. 100w will not burn out the wires - a straight swap will be fine. you can run a relay etc if you want to be doubly sure byt not necessary from my experience.
  12. ps go drive an Amarok and see what you think is better - hilux feels very unrefined compared.
  13. Hey Man, A 2010 Hilux wont give you any problems. The main cars suffering from injector failure are the 05-07 Hilux/Prado's. The main reason for the premature failure is dirty fuel which blocks injectors and causes the tips of them to be melted some what which causes them to not work properly when cold. this gives the car the 'death rattle' which can be bad in the long run if left unattended to. new filters on 07 + hilux's are better and filter more stuff out. good idea though to change them every 10-20k to ensure your injectors last a life time. our work hilux's have all just had the injectors replaced (150,000kms on the clock) and it does cost every bit of $2.5-3k $$$$$ when you have 6 of them the boss isn't too happy. As for the oil build up an seizing - if you service at the regular internals you will have no issues. in short a 2010 should not give you any problems but ensure you test drive them when they are cold - listen for a overly loud rattle under 25-30% throttle and a lot of black smoke - if you see it walk away or talk them down by $3k.
  14. Thanks Pinz.... Anyone had any experience with Yokohama and their dB Decibel tyres? They're about $30 each cheaper than the Michelins.... Hey Buddy, I run Federal FD2's on my IS300. They are very very quiet and have a very deep tread depth. If you are not 100% focused on performance i would highly recommend them. I have also had Advan dB's and these are even quieter. As they have a reasonably soft sidewall i run 38psi in them to keep them reasonably firm int he corners. Have done 10000 and they still look brand new.
  15. lift is a sometimes food - these cars are not meant to be able to take constant abuse - after all it is just a corolla.
  16. Chasing one if anyone has one lying around they want to get rid of. PM me with details.
  17. I always new they were girl cars! Mine is up for sale now - time to get a manly utility :P Welcome to the club...
  18. 350mn!!!! HAHAHAHAHA. It doesn't make that much... even with exhaust and extractors and CAI - you are not going to be pulling a genuine 256 ft pound of torque at the wheels. dyno torque figures are useless.
