Man Aaron I'm so sorry to hear this man. Your car was just getting to the point where it was looking something special. Are you allowed to take any of your mods off? You might be able to recoup some of your losses. I'm glad your ok man. Hopefully see you later tonight. -

I gotta ask what exactly do you want from your tyres? Outright grip? Low wear? Quiet ride?

Have you looked into other tyre brands Dave? The RE001 are not the way to go with what you have stated there. I know there's a different Bridgestone more mated to your driving style but I don't remember which one off the top of my head :( EDIT: The Potenza RE040 or RE050 suit you better..

cf eyelids? As in you're gonna wrap them in cf vinyl? If you want photos you need multiple photos lol. It's not hard. There's a few screws on top and a few on the sides under the fender liner and more under the bumper. I would take some photos for you but my car is too low to get some pics from under it :P

Nothing worth really saying yet.. Just a lil update. I inverted the clock and climate control screens on my centre console. Looks so much better :)

Use factory Denso plugs. No gains to be had. Factory plugs are already Iridium. 1ZZ and 2ZZ do not have leads either.

I removed it because I wanted to go a different route with the styling of my car. I like the idea of vinyl because it is reversable when you want to sell it.

I assuming your new lights in the centre console are LEDs? If they are it explains why you never noticed them on beforehand. The halogen bulbs have the ability to dim if less voltage is going through them, whereas the LEDs will always be at the same luminosity.

every oil change if done properly, doesn't matter what brand oil or filter (provided u use the manufacturers recommendation), makes the engine run smoother. Brand choice is users preference. In saying that i will use penrite 10W40 plus 10 semi-syn on next oil change. Currently use 10W40 Mobil semi-syn Well it sorta matters what oil you use. For example it's probably not advisable to put something like Castrol GTX into a 2ZZ. I'm using the short Ryco filter with Motul 4100 Turbolight (10w-40).

I don't think the OEM option should be your 'worse comes to worse' option. Should be one of your better options. By using an aftermarket drive belt are you expecting a performance increase or something? Don't most drive belt changes occur during a major service (100k km)?

I've heard of the Gatorback being the best on the 2ZZ. Although I haven't tried any coz my car has only done 70,000km. How many k's are on your car. You either have many problems with your car or you're over paranoid with it and you finding problems which aren't actually there.

I know Beyond Custom does some quality custom paint jobs and kits. I remember FibreVision used to be good but not sure about now..
