Well I changed to Valvoline SynPower full synthetic 5w-40. Car feels great with it in there. Also got the Fumoto oil drain valve fitted. I'll get pics up later, but no probs so far.

I've been contemplating the rear wiper delete for a while now. It looks awesome on your car John. Did you just remove the arm or the motor as well? If I was gonna do it, I would remove the motor as it would be dead weight.. :P

Not really. It's painted plastic not metal so you can do anything about it. I just got a weighted gear knob when I bought my short shifter..

So I don't have many bits left. The thing I really want to get rid of is the 2ZZ-GE ported head. As I have explained before it is ported on both intake and exhaust sides. Valves and springs still intact. No cams, no valve cover, no manifolds. $300 Also still have some genuine facelift headlight protectors for a ZZE12# $50

Comparing to a Sportivo is a bit silly. Different gearbox and engine. This is what I normally change at (for 2ZZGE): 1st: 20km/h 2nd: 40km/h 3rd: 50km/h 4th: 60km/h 5th: 70km/h 6th: I use for above 70km/h In other words this is me changing gears at 3000rpms. Tyres are Toyo Proxes T1Rs 205/50/R16.

Yes no difference on that side. Just make sure you don't get the air injection edition. All 2zzs are the same, except on the air injection system. Make sure you get a new gasket, just to be on the safe side. Btw have you bought it yet?

Yeah really leaning towards the Nulon again. Although it doesn't really matter. I change every 5,000 almost religiously lol. Wheels not on yet buddy. My plan is to get the body patched up first then get them on. I still need some hub centric rings for them. The centre bore is friggin massive. I really wanna see em on the car but I might get some Toyo R1Rs on them as well.. Sigh more dosh

Just a lil update. Still waiting on the panels :( , but got me a Fumoto oil drain valve for my upcoming half service. Car is just about on 75,000km. Still deciding on what oil to use. In the last 15,000km I have used: Penrite HPR 0 (0w-40) Nulon Full Synthetic (10w-40) Motul Turbolight 4100 (10w-40) I might go back to Nulon but if anyone has suggestions please let me know. Still gathering money to get: PPE header Power FC Have enough to get one or the other atm. Leaning towards headers first (sorry Aaron)..

Not most .... 1800RPM at 100km/h in 6th. thanks for poitning that out darryl :) i forgot to mention about the different revs in different number of cylinders... for 4 cylinders, at 100km/h the engine has to work harder for it to maintain that speed... kept around 3 to 3.4k there abouts... TRD aurion (correect me if i'm wrong) a 6 cyl supercharged? :D so it works less to keep constant speed. also the size of the engine got nothing to do with it (eg F1 cars have like a 1.8L engine but on 8 cyl for example, hence they can have a higher speed in the lesser rev ranges on higher gears) Umm its got nothing to do with the engine. Its to do with the gearbox and the gear ratios in each gear..

My RDAs seem to be holding up fine, but I guess you wouldn't call greenstuff an aggressive pad lol. Haven't had an issue with the rotors at all so far (15,000km)

No. I'm not sure if you have looked at the pics but they are completely different lol.. Someone always posts these up every once in a while. They are for the Altis or USDM Corolla.
