  1. I had solid gains with a tuneable ECU on top of my stage 2 cams. Have you sorted out your ECU options? They weren't going in too soon. Still need a PFC (btw SD I need to talk to you about that :) ) Plus still need to purchase some new valves, springs and retainers before popping on the head.
  2. I'll see.. I work Friday nights so I might not be able to make it to the group photoshoots :(
  3. This is what they look like..
  4. Nothing is impossible. But that said, things can be rather difficult. I would imagine that such a thing could be performed but it's integrity will be fairly compromised to the point that you're better off getting a new one. This would be even more critical the higher the engine redline is. Correct me if I'm wrong, but for an engine like the 2ZZ, would the cams also have to be of the balanced variety? If this is the case, it's just one more thing that has to be done carefully when repairing. Not worth it in my opinion since if it fails again, the engine may be less lucky. Not to mention that it would be more cost efficient to get new ones compared to paying to get the old ones repaired as well as they can be. I know it would be the easier to buy a new one but only one of them is damaged :( Wouldn't maching shops be able to balance it afterwards? I'm more concerned about trying to fuse them. Not too sure what coating is on the cams and if the mater is easily welded or otherwise.. BTW these weren't damaged because of an engine. It was due to shipping and handling <_<
  5. Haha it's cool :) An update. I finally got my ported head and Piper stage 3 cams from the states. But there is a big problem.. One cam has completely split in two!!! FFS! he packed the head with the cams and there was no 'This way up' sticker on it or anything. So I guess I have some useless cams now :(
  6. What you are saying there sounds all wrong. Water pump is always turning as it is connected to the acc belt. Thermostat regulates flow to radiator. So when the engine temps get high, the thermostat opens up. Like I said before it's probably just coincidence that your temps went up with it off. Did you check that there wasn't something blocking your radiator like a plastic bag or something? Also did you end up checking your coolant levels? Yes I drove on the freeway for about 25-30 mins each day for a few days. yeah first thing i did was pop the bonnet and checked the water and oil levels, everything seemed fine and nothing was blocking the radiator... maybe i should write this as a one off happening cuz i got NFI how it happened... When you say you checked water levels I sure hope you mean the one on the radiator overflow tank and not your washer fluid one
  7. thats cos he`s the indo boss cheng! He has too many gold bricks lying around :P
  8. you cant repair a cam and you wil have bent valves.the head would have to come off and professionally repaired.if the car is old it might be cheaper to get a 2nd hand engine. Evo Cams aren't in the engine Evan. They are split in 2. Is it possible to fuse the 2 pieces together welding or otherwise?
  9. Is there anyway to fix broken cam?

  11. Holy crap very quick.. Now some fog lights ;)
  12. It looks great with them on. Well done worth the wait. I agree on your ideas. Full debadge. Car will look smooth and clean.
  13. Car is looking real good man. Very similar to mine except I don't have rear skirt or wing tips
  14. Don't ask Toyota about it. There's no way that the console can control the radiator and coolant temps. That would be silly. Cars would be overheating all over the place if it were the case. Its call the fuel pump. +1 Also would be the fan kicking in to try to get those temps down.
  15. Burnt tip looks better. How about a single double walled tip? Car is looking great!
  16. Did his headlights look like this? If it is than that's a facelift. Your's would be a pre facelift
  17. Centre console does not affect your coolant temps. Why the hell would it. I ran without it for a whole week. Maybe you should look at your coolant level? Or perhaps you had something covering your radiator.
  18. My tyres aren't rubbing on the inside And it kinda doesn't work like that on the ZZE because the rear isn't independent and so you don't gain camber as you lower it. I've just had some unlucky mishaps <_< But the front's I have adjusted. Plus I don't think I'll have issues on stock rims with crap width and offset. Haha guess the throwover works at concealing it :D High 5! we all blind :P
  19. Umm I've had the seat for yonks LOL Well you know I have rear doors so I thought I'd better replace them.
  20. Anyone else with ideas on what it could be?
  21. Finally got around to installing them the other day :) I used the guide that 123R-Prozak that he put up. All done to look stock ;)
  22. Anyone using Motul Turbolight 4100 10w-40? Is it any good?
  23. Like levinboy said.. You didn't read my post properly <_<
  24. The dash piece I believe lights up red so I don't think it's possible..
