  1. Guess you gotta be right atleast once.. :P I would have saidan error in term actually.. Thats -1 for the academics...
  2. As you all know the 1-2 shift requires a lot of skill to get these lil suckers to land in the lift zone... I heard some of the early Celicas had an 8400rpm limit so that extra 200 rpm would have been hell handy... I think since Ive owned the car Ive landed in Lift on the 1-2 shift about 3 times.. Wicked when it does but sad that I cant repeat it all the time.. I just cant get the knack of it... Is there something Im not doing right.. I think it has something to do with my clutch control.. When I ran 15.6 at the drags with the car I didnt get lift on the 1-2 so Im sure a high 14 second pass aint outta the question... So those of you that have mastered it Fess up !! PLEASE !!
  3. When I look at my figures they equate to 102 Kw.. That 102kw got the stivo down the 1/4 in 15.6sec and could have easily gone faster with some better driving.... Must post the damn time slip some time...
  4. OFF TOPIC.... Thanks for your input there mate... But I have to clarify a few things here... I presume your mate works for Walker as this is where the Monaro/US GTO exhaust is made.. The USA has some of the most stringent polution policies in the world.. The Monaro did require more than a little work to make it comply with the yank smog standards.. The Exhaust that is on the US GTO is almost identical to what you will find on the Australian model Monaros and SS Commodores.. The extra power is derived from PCM tuning... I can vouch for that having been heavily involved with the development of software to modify these beasts... For the knockers... carcoders.com ... Any garden variety GEN III Holden is capable of some awesome HP numbers with the right tuning.. Just didnt want that piece speculation to get outta control :) ... ON TOPIC... BOG Standard my Stivo turn 136.8 HP at the wheels on a Dyno Dynamics Dyno.. By taking the lid off the airbox and facing it outta the engine bay we recorded 138.6 HP on a secondary run... I havent tested it with any of my new mods but we have a club dyno day coming up soon so I will try it then.. ;)
  5. Oh hang on.. . Didnt some other guy talk about this sutff in this thread.. On ya Peekay my point exactly !!!
  6. There cool with most of them... But now Im getting serious about the performance side Im going to have to move to the company I was using for my Modded Commodores...
  7. Im over 30.. Insured with QBE.. Rating 1 with 60% NCB... $ 590 Per year ...
  8. Perth is me... 6ks from the CBD I think is the official distance...
  9. They do a version to suit the Celica.. Bout the same price to I think..
  10. Make sure you order it today... :) I guess the upside to the story is, its unlikely the missus will even know the difference either ways.. Except when you hit lift !! Or the wicked inwards suck you get when you shut it down.. :D Sounds like Darth Vader having a breath... B)
  11. Buffing machines and dark cars just dont seem to agree with each other... They are the biggest swirly maker of the lot !!!.. With my last car I actually wouldnt let the dealer to touch the paint as far a preperation goes... I told them I wouldnt sign the paperwork if a buff went near the car... What an anal ***** I am... Suffice to say the black paintwork looked brand spankers for 2 years.. Guess Im a one off nutter...
  12. I find it most amusing the amount of folks here that are so new to modified car thing... :) Its great not being the NOOB for once.. The CAI can be removed quicker than you put it on.. I can fit or remove mine in about 25 minutes.. As for the exhaust its 2 bolts and a couple of rubber hangers on my car.. !!!! Christ if your car ****z itself and your so worried about the warranty get the stock stuff put back on get the thing fixed... Bit Racer is the car yours or hers ?? Who drives it the most ?? Who gets the most pleasure out of it ??? Damn dude like you never let the missus dictate the car stuff.. Get the CAI and get it fitted... Lifes to short to worry about the missus...
  13. Oh yeah I forgot the tank full of Ultimate 98... I bought mine in August... Still looks wicked even without paint protection...
  14. Theres also a hack getting about now that allows you play LAN games with the pc to... :) Something thats missing outta the regular version..
  15. Mine took about a week.. Which is better sometimes that waiting for stuff to come from east... :D
  16. I really wanted a Red one.. But the dealer offered up the black at the right price.. This is my 6th black car.. Everytime Ive had black I said Id never have another.. God Damn heres another.... They look sick when their clean.. B)
  17. I paid $ 30900... Included.. Bonnet Pro, Headlight Pro, Stivo Grille, Stivo Pedals, Genuine Mats and 12months Reg + Stamp Duty... I was happy with that.. :)
  18. 300 and something, total including freight... Reasonably easy to fit ... Even easier when you have a hoist.. :)
  19. At that price the TRD is the juice.. Not bad at all.. :)
  20. Like you would take it back with the kit connected come on mate ... Have you never done a shonky before.. ?? When I had my last business we fitted a Vortech Blower setup to a VT 2 GTS Commodore.... The guy broke the engine twice (Let the Water Injection run dry).. Both times he came back to us and we removed the kit and he had his car fixed under warranty... Its how you work the system.. Not abuse it... Mods need to be fully reversable when you do them if your worried about your warranty... At he end of the day, if you mod it and it breaks then pay to get it fixed and dont whinge about it... Just Work the system.. Neways you can get a complete low k 2zz from the importers for about 1800 bux.. Problem solved !! .. :)
  21. So whered ya get this image from then.. ?? It looks phat... Heaps better than the red crud.. :)
  22. That brings me back to my points... Right Products, Correct regular application.. :)
  23. Nope its a direct bolt in.. :) No Cutting required..
  24. The TRD one is a lil straighter than that... But theres quite a bit of plumbing and stuff for it to get around as well.. Neways.. Its in and I love the induction roar.. Next time I have it apart for some reason I will take some more pics... I wanna get the Pipe anodised black so that should be sooner than later.. :D
