  1. I got time sheets here somewhere for my car running 15.5 stock, no mods... All absolutely standard except for front tyres at 17 PSI.... I ran 1/10 slower with CAI and Exhaust.. Maybe just had a good day... B)
  2. Well heres hoping dudes... Im going back to Toyota on Tuesday to get more work done on my Stivo so I will drill the dude even harder for more info... ;)
  3. I was talking to my much over worked service guy today about my Rolla... Well it seems that there maybe a recall on the Sportivo in August to give the lil beasts a bit of sting they have been lacking... Apparently its been proven that they arent making the claimed 141kw so Toyota are coming to the party to fix the problem... So with any luck from what I was told us Sportivo owners could be in for a nice 10kw gain.... Wonder how hot the rumour will be... :)
  4. Im here.... :) However considering goin back to some heavy metal...
  5. Yeah I had the rattles which they fixed for me while they had it apart... Definitely gone now.. They also replaced my drivers seat as it was wearing very poorly...
  6. That looks sweet.. But I reckon my mates would bash me hard If I fronted with the interior looking like that...
  7. Ok the Stivo came home tonight... Brand Spankers new engine under the hood.. And clucth... And And And... Yep thats right Toyota put a new canolli under the hood... Glad to have it back... Didnt think Id miss it that much but well the Camry fridge on wheels was getting a lil boring... The Service Manager tells me the retail price of the repair was up around the 15k mark.. Glad theres a warranty.... :) BTW does that Mean I have the newest drive train on the board now...
  8. I was supposed to pick it up on Friday.. They have replaced most of the driveline at their cost... Neways, once I have the Car back in my hands I will give yas the final rundown of it all..
  9. Alliance Rim repairs is the place in Perth for wheel Repairs... For polishing Simon at Wheel Gleem...
  10. Even working on a worst case scenario I still stand @ 1K.. Knowing full well I can get what I am asking it really doesnt bother me what super deals are being offered elsewhere.... A full wheel polish complete the way through you would not get in my neck of the woods for the prices you quote... $ 80 per rim is the cheapest in the trade... I will trade the car with em on rather than give em away... Easy eh... Once again thankyou for your valuable input... :)
  11. 17 x 7s with Tyres with Polishing + fittng $ 1280 !!! Get me 3 sets dude... Seriously Id like to see where you would come up with that price ??? on my calculations including my allowance of $ 500 for the stivo rims, Its a mighty fine deal... So lets see your best trade price on each wheel and tyre including fitting and polishing... If you can come in anywhere under $ 320 a corner Ill give them to you... I know you cant... :P ... BTW 70% tread ... Meh the are closer to 85% ... $ 270 Per Rim $ 150 Per Tyre $ 10 Fitting $ 100 for polishing = ?? ;) However thankyou for you input... :)
  12. Folks Im looking to shift my ROH Furys that are currently on my Stivo... Ive got 4 17 x 7 ROH Fury Rims... With Nexen 205/40/17 Tyres 70 % Tread.. Rims are higly polished with absolutely no scratches or kerb scrapes... If you give me $ 1000 cash and your the Stivo Rims and Tyres (Must Be spot on) they can be yours... Id prefer to swap with someone in Perth but will consider other states... You pay the freight.. PM me if your interested...
  13. Well its been an anxious few weeks... Toyota has finally approved the replacement of well... Just about everything :o .... Once its all up and running I will give yas a full run down... Cheers, Matt
  14. Usually about anything above 4k RPM.. Crunch City if shifted to fast.... The first time I reported it they reckon they adjusted the clutch... Didnt fix it though... Anyways... Enough of my whinging... Hopefully it will be spot on this time around... :)
  15. Plus I forgot to add the Gearbox has been my biggest whinge since I got the car.. Its always been a real bugger to shift gears in... Not sure if its coincendental or what...
  16. Was one of my complaints bro... Been fixed good an proper now though.. :o
  17. I can only presume that the engine momentarily siezed or something... :o At the end of the day I just want it fixed... :(
  18. Well a grim picture has been painted for me... The Service manager called me today and asked if I could come down and have a look.. I looked and the list is pretty long... Oil Pump ... :( Crankshaft... :( Most of the Exhaust valves... :( Camshafts.. :( Rocker Arms.. :( Pressure Plate... :( Flywheel... :( And And And.... :o Plus they are yet to open the Gearbox up and take a look... Im sure this car is jinxed... Im sure I should have read the Karma when the battery was leakin battery acid all over the engine bay when I first got the car... They said they will be speaking to Toyota to see if they can get them to supply a complete engine as mine is almost a total write off... Geezus its a mess... All I can say is... I wish you Toyota buggers had listened to me in the first place... Neways they are still being very good about it.. They reckon Im gonna be with out it for atleast 2 weeks... Will keep yas updated..
  19. No news today... I called the dealer but they didnt call me back.... I did call them at 5:27 but... :) Im startin to get used to this slushbox Camry, boring as hell but very easy to drive.. The foreman told me the ECU showed nothing out of the ordinary when I first dropped it off... If there was something that I should know about Im pretty sure they would have told me by now...
  20. The tick is how it all started for me... :o But I think my case is a lil extreme ... Its not an injector or something you can hear ?
  21. It was very amusing fronting at the dealer this morning with the Stivo on the back of the flat bed.. The service manager just shook his head and said " 1 week to late eh ??".. So the update is they have had it up on the hoist... The sump has come off and they can see that the oil pump housing is cracked... But they are gonna pull the engine completely outta the car and strip on the bench.. They wanna see if any valves are bent or if there is anything else that is sinister in there... Suffice to say they have been very good so far... They did give me some spiel about this Celica that they had in once with all this thrash damage to the engine and box etc... Caused by a missed gear or something... Ive been telling them for ages about this crap... I think they wanted me to admit somebody had stuffed up a shift or something... I assured him if I killed it Id probably be copping it on the chin... Ive been invited to go and have a look at it the parts tommora... If they have to order parts I have been told I may have to wait a number of weeks to get the car back... So it looks like they are coming to the party atm ... Hopefully it will stay that way.... Oh BTW the AEM and Exhaust havent been on the car for ages... Dealer B had no issues with them being fitted.. He just asked if they could remove them while they were trying to find the source of all this valve train noise.. Just never got around to getting them to put them back on... Like I said they have been very good so far... Just wish I coulda been taken seriously from the start..
  22. Im kinda thinkin it better not hit the hip pocket to much at all ... The car i still under warranty... Im just feeling I shouldnt be at this point at all.... :(
  23. Well now its lunched itself good an proper I really wish I had pushed the issues earlier... :(
  24. I havent posted for a while just be layin low and watching the forum evolve a little... I drive my Stivo everyday for work... Its now got about 22k on the clock and was climbing at a steady rate... At around the 10k mark I took it into dealer A with a few complaints... One of those being, I thought, a noiser that average valve train.. Ive owned a few cars iin my life time so I was sure that there was something that was not quite right.. I argued with the service manager that they should pull it apart and check what the story was... They told me I was over reacting and that it was quite normal for these engines to be a lil noisy as that was a characteristic of the of the chain driven timing gear.. Meh I thought ... They probably right.... Id also had some serious issues with the car selecting gears.. Mainly on the 1-2 change... And it constantly grinds the gears going in to Reverse or changing quickly into 4th while in lift... Plus the clutch was low to the floor with very little in or out travel... Being the fair and just person I am I took it on the chin and vowed never to go back to that dealer...Anyways on three seperate occasions between then and now during some on lift driving the car coughed and spluttered a few times... 1 of those times acutally stalling the engine at a 100kmh.... In steps dealer B.... Dealer is B is owned by a mates Father... I felt I could probably get some decent service there knowing the boss of the place and all.. Well yes I did get fussed over but with the noise now a lil louder and I was getting concerned .. I got the same spiel once again from the workshop foreman... Dude its normal, dont worry etc etc.... So I went away in disgust... This was about the 16k mark btw..... So over the next coupla weeks had a few more of these splutter episodes.... So Ironically I went back to dealer B and sternly asked them to book the car in and check it out for me... Suffice to say they couldnt get me in for a week .. Which was ok with me cause I have just recently started a new job and didnt want to be without the car to much... It seems the week was a just a lil to much for the old Stivo... Whilst on a lift run on a 2-3 change the Stivo spluttered one last time... Hey whats a man to do ?? They told me it was ok right Well the sucker went bang... Like Big bang... I lost drive on 1,2,3 gears, I couldnt select any gears !!!!! Whats more the oil light was remaining lit... Plus it was running on about 2 of the 4 cylinders... There was no pools of oil under the car.... Nor any coolant etc.. So that was a start... I killed the ignition and scratched my head for a few miniutes.. Tow home job.... :( Neways it looks like its dead... Really dead... It now will not start.. Not that Ive tried cranking it to much.. Im thinking a lack of oil pressure may have something to do with it... Suffice to say it will be fronting at its appointment at the dealer tommorow morning on the back of a flat bed tow truck... Im kinda of hoping that I will get some action quickly on it... Hopefully this will be a lesson to Toyota... Listen to what your customers a saying.. Not all of us ave rocks in our heads and dont know what where talking bout !! Got it dealer A !!! Thats my last 3 months... Will keep yas filled in... BTW sorry bout the long post.... Cheers, Matt
