  1. Thank you rollamods... that was exactly what I wanted to know. Oh if you know... how much roughly would I be looking at to get the emanage tuned and what gains and issues should/would I expect? haha my engine is dead stock apart from K&N panel filter and 3" piping running from airbox to front bar centre grille... though it is restricted because I had to squish it inbetween the headlight cluster and radiator gap. Will be doing a proper CAI like Poggy's done in the next few weeks. Reason I asked the above questions was because I had a thought that I could get some sort of cheap gains since my engine is only run in at approximately 90100Ks so it's totally not worth doing engine conversion until I start touching 200,000Ks or major engine issues occur. I had thought about doing a G head conversion and possibly thicker rods from 4AGZE but in the end for me I'd rather save til I finish uni so I can go ahead with either 2ZZGE or 3SGTE (a guy Petroma in Greece has done 3SGTE into same model rolla and sedan like mine putting out 415hp).
  2. ok guys I'm after some n/a power... no I don't want to do engine conversions not til I finish uni or something bad happens to the engine. I am thinking of upgrading the fuel system... like higher flowing injectors, fuel pump, regulator (thats if you think it is need?) and also Apexi? Air/Fuel Controller. So questions 1. Would it be worth doing such upgrades? Any issues I might expect from doing this? 2. Would Apexi AFC be worth it or should I instead consider a piggy back fuel computer like Greddy E-manage? 3. Should I need to upgrade the intake manifold... like off another Toyota or have to go custom? I've googled and can't find the answers I want or I was searching the wrong keywords. So please help us out. Thank you... Oh reason I don't want to do engine conversion as yet is because I plan to do either 3S-GTE or if possible 2ZZGE conversion after I complete my degrees.
  3. why not get both worlds... you can pick them up off ebay as most come from US. http://search.ebay.com.au/search/search.dl...earch&fgtp= um also check out http://www.hidplanet.com... they'll be able to help...
  4. why would you want to go past redline? Suggest you change before redline... even at 5600 will do. A squirt to that 5 grand now and again is ok... but sesh every day you'll get sick of it. Suggest you opt for bigger engine eh... like 20v or forced induction route. ;)

  6. found this interesting site for yas. http://members.optusnet.com.au/~saltheart/corollatrivia.html
  7. woot first post FTW :P looking good Will. Finally you joined. Took your time :P. We'll have to organise another shoot for you and Bogga and when the side skirts are on :D. I got some ideas for location. But that's gonna be secret for now :P
  8. wow that's impressive machine poggy. new wheels really suit. btw when you resprayed your car toxic green... with the black side strips... did you purchase new twin cam stickers to put on there?
  9. Got K&N panel filter and Memorex intake piping in. Also fitted some new wheels on Tuesday. 17"x7 LWT Osaka Racing VooDoo 7s wrapped in Toyo TPG Trampio 205/40/R17s Will (94Camry) taking it for a spin after King Low springs & KYBs were installed
  10. whats the difference between geniune one compared to say SSV's copy of the sportivo kit... all I notice is that the genuine skirts are 4 piece where as SSV's is 2 peice.
  11. so you reckon sportivo kit looks **** for the 112s Poggy? I haven't ordered mine as yet as I'm still iffy about getting the skirts. Definite about just getting front lip like RollaBoy though.
  12. get 17x6. any bigger and you'll be scrubbing for sure. can ya show us pics of your CAI. I'm pretty interested to know what you got? it run alright?
  13. apparently these MTEC's are the next best thing to PIAA bulbs
  14. well I guess since 3 of us are in brissie with 112s we could meet up sometime... see what we all got. Most of my comestics will be done when I get on uni holidays and I'm going up to Gympie where my mate is beater, painter and mechanic to get it all done. Getting full sportivo bodykit (with custom rear bar attachments in the works), new exhaust from cat back to new muffler and suspension. I suggest instead of a POD filter get a panel filter... far more effective for your or our application. POD needs to be setup properly so that it doesn't suck hot air. Hence you're better off with K&N panel filter with flexi piping as there is very limited room in the corolla. Exhaust ... well depends how far you want to go what you want etc. I'm planning on going to Drift King Performance & Macs Mufflers at Geebung to get Hurricane or Redback 4-2-1 headers, magnaflow cat and either Zeniti cannon or powerflow twin tip muffler. Most reasonable prices they offer i reckon. in terms of lights and all Autobarn is where I get all my stuff. Depends what you want to spend. as rotciv has said... it's very hard to get parts for our cars. I've been to Boondall Wreckers, City Parts Plus, AllJap and only brisbane directories asking and no one seems to have anything for ae112s. anyways here's my car so far as I've only had it about 2 months. Won't be taking many pics until xmas time when it's going to be worked on hardcore http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=11745. nice looking liftback rotciv. where'd u pick up that lip from and how much?
  15. woot another 112 owner . Yeah I'm a brissie owner too. Looks like you got yourself a very good buy there. Well looks like you're doing something different to me. But what you have listed above is pretty much spot on. if you don't want to spend heaps. BUt there is heaps of things you can do still without breaking the bank. - pretty much change colour of lights of dash cluster and interior light. boot light can be changed to neon or LED. - Intake with K&N panel or Pod filter you can change the piping to 3 inch with 2 into 3 connector from intake plenum to airbox and another 3 inch from airbox to front bar or even use heat sheild. - full exhaust (4-2-1 extractors, cat, nice twin tip muffler like on sportivos) - if the car is manual get short shifter - can change the backing colour of the dash cluster - if you want to change comestic looks... get a sportivo bodykit or even just the sportivo or levin front spoiler - paint your brake calipers and drums to very high heat blue or silver or red (I did mine silver to retain standardish look) - get a genuine rear spoiler and even change brake light to LEDs - change side guard repeaters/indicators to crystal look - paint door handles and rear garnish same colour as car - remove front bar grill plastics and replace with black grill mesh - paint in very high heat engine enamel the rocker covers um thats all i can think of now as I've done some of the above and will be doing more when I'm on uni holidays. But yeah as rotciv has said... it ain't really something you'd modify like crazy. I'm going the show and shine route most likely but may possibily later on go forced induction route or engine conversion.
  16. yeah i love the UK E11s. Also in Phillipines their sedans come with side skirts and Levin front spoiler and foggies. Mines sedan. But yeah I don't like stezza like that. But yeah have thought about those alu rings... bit expensive indeed. I'm trying to find some rear clear indicators... as I found some on a this sedan in philipines on car domain... been trying to get in contact with the owner so I can get some.
  17. yeah well I've decided I'm sourcing a sportivo kit from GT Autostyling. Front lip and skirts. $250 for front lip/apron and $320 for side skirts. Toyota charging more for both. Fog lights from Toyota are $400. From Ozeparts.com.au it's $600 for a pair. They sell left and right fogs separate for $300. So I'm fog lights are now the last thing I'll ever get now. Sportivo/Levin grille is another thing I want but thats not cheap from Toyota either. So I dunno aye corollas of our model aren't really written off cars. So it's gonna be hard. Rotciv did you get your kit from Australia ebay or some overseas one?
  18. Thanks for the info Ben. How much did it roughly cost you to get those parts... did it include painting? Also how did you wire up your foggies? separate switch or on the indicator & headlight stick?
  19. hey all. I've been really eager to change the look of my 2000 facelift ae112 sedan to have the Levin or Sportivo front. So what I need to know is... will I need to get the full front bar because of the fog light brackets or just the lip do? And where can I get these parts... Levin/Sportivo lip, side skirts and fog lights? I've tried 4 wreckers (AllJap, CityPlus Parts, Sandgate Wreckers & Boondall Auto Recyclers) already and have no luck in sourcing anything similar. Toyota said the fog light kit costs $400. So any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  20. Well if you can't open the boot and doors... then that means you don't have the master key. If it is the spare key it should still be able to open the doors and start the car but not the boot. I went to Toyota yesterday as I've got similar situation to you however I have the master key but the dealer I got it off said that was all they got. So Toyota said I have to get the key cut elsewhere and take it back to them for 30mins or so to get the key coded to the car for $45. He wouldn't quote me whether it would be cheaper to get 2 keys done. It's ridiculas but what can ya do. By the way Master Keys are black. Spare keys are grey.
  21. dddaaayyymmm that's one gutsy MR2. Love it! and soo clean :) Top stuff!
  22. wow this thing is incredible. Love what ya done to it. Not many people have gone to modify the 101s. Only seen a few on cardomain. Well done!
  23. Thanks Ben? Big fan of your corolla man. Will have few questions for ya about your engine bay later on as I want do a few things too :D Thanks vivioman. I see we got a few camcrew members on here too. Good to see :)
  24. yeah Budget Direct Insurance don't like modifers at all. Probably try Shannons if you got a good history amd Suncorp might be alright for you too. What about Just Car Insurance? Do a quote online as that will be exactly what your premium will be. I'm 22 and JustCar full comprehensive insurance for me is exactly $768.00 as per the online quoting system too.
