Thats what I paid for my Emanage... i was lucky enough for it to come with a custom harness as well... one the best mods I've got for rolla as it just pulled all of my other mods together and made it all work the way it should... I got some pretty decent gains from it as well...

I was just about to put up a post with a similar question... Lately my rolla has developed a really bad whirring/whining noise from the engine... it comes and goes and not necessarily when im driving hard... it sounds like its coming from the drive belts... so far, my car's done about 93,000 Km...

First of all, what an amazing set up!! Something I've always wanted to try, but never had the time or money... However, when I was thinking about it, I was considering using a mini mac with a fold out screen. Its small enough to mount in the dash like a head unit, as its the size of one, and the fold out screen would mount on top giving it a very clean look with no gaps. Also the mini mac is very good with multimedia and plug ins...

Hey just cam back from seeing it!! It was incredible!! Saw it from Sydney Harbour, then raced to the Stamford at Sydney Airport and went on the roof to get some incredible shots... When i get them developed i'll put them up.

That road looks like fun... and this is after my exams finish so tempting.... I hope I don't have work that night!!

Questionable on a few things I know... Apparently the car was severly out of tune... It was too lean at low rpm, and way to rich at high rpm, so that was a key factor as to why the intial kw reading was low... Although the torque reading is insanely high, the tuner did say that would translate to around the 200 mark so then again I dont think its that out of the ordinary... I was also thinking that (i could be wrong here..) a dynometer doesnt have the same sorta friction you get on the road ie. the dyno allows your wheels to turn a little easier. Maybe that is why i got such a reading... Does that sound right? Then again we come to the old argument of different tuners and dynos and the different readings they give. There's even ambiguity between different engines of the same type. For example, I've seen a stock 1ZZ-FE get over 80 kw while another stock 1ZZ-FE give around 72 kw. Probably if I put my car on a different dyno, i'd get a different reading...

I know... it just sounds cool having a figure like that on the dyno! :P I'm sure on the road, that figure is a little less...

I think there's been some discussion for turboing a 1ZZ-FE, but not sure about sportivo. I think rollamods once listed all the parts and costs needed to do such a job. If you search the forums, you'll find it. I don't think the list would change much for a 2ZZ-GE. Also check out monkey wrench racing (do a google seach for the website) these guys in the US have almost everything for the 1ZZ-FE to the 2ZZ-GE such as turbo kits etc. I saw a stroker kit there once, bore the engine out to a 2.0L. Hey, forget the turbo! :P

Thats what I thought. But were changing the VVTi (VTEC) settings and it changed the output on the dyno so it must have been doing something... The tuner mentioned something about changing some things about VVTi but not everything... The tune cost me about $300... Tuning is expensive... But the outcome was great. I was surprised myself to see that much torque, but there it was.. :P You can really feel it in the low rev..

Yeah that what i meant.. :P In the support tool the VVTi was represented at VTEC, but it was still showing a reading. It was set to kick in at i think 5000 rpm and cut out at 4800 rpm.. I can't remember exactly to what we changed them to...
