Correction... after more research the Injen for our rollas is a two piece... AEM or TRD is now sounding a bit more enticing coz i figure one piece is the better way to go. Although the Injen does look something hectic...

So the ultimate answer is to just fork out the dough, get adjustable shocks with the springs so that the whole suspensions system lasts? ← i think what kcorro is trying to say is that any shocks will die eventually... ← I just dont want to send mine to an early death by just getting springs... I was considering Eibach or equivalent on stock shocks but i dont want to replace them after a few months of lowering. Been reading around on older posts, but its hard to make a definate decision...

Just wanted someone to clarify a few things... If one wanted to lower their rolla, they could just get some lowered springs... Now.... Does this really kill the shocks in the ZZ122R rolla? Or, is there an advisable height that one shouldn't go lower to save their shocks? I'm aware coilovers are the shock and spring in one so you dont have to worry about that if you're getting coilovers, but for us cheapskates who just wanna get low, and just do the springs, whats rule of thumb? *INSERT RECOMMENDATIONS OF BRAND, HEIGHT, SPECIALIST OR WHATEVER HERE!*

Another thing, what's the US equivalent to the Australian corolla? I dont want to buy a part that doesnt fit... So is the US equivalent corolla model a: A. Corolla S 1.8L B. Matrix XR or XRS My corolla having a 1ZZ-FE engine... Found this pic on the Injen website. Does it look like a 1ZZ-FE engine to any of you guys? Do you reckon it would still suit the ZZ122R engine bay?

In my research I've found that they're mainly made for the US celica, matix, or anything with a 1ZZ-FE engine. I've read up about them in some mags and I've heard good things about them.

Ok, this may be a dumb question but I'm a little confused with coilovers.. Is a coilover the shock and the lowered spring in one assembly?

Actually that reminds me of something kinda important... There is a toll, however it doesnt take cash! you need an e-way. So if some of you dont have one, you might wanna consider getting one if you wanna come with. It might be an idea anyway since soon all the motorways will go the same way. There is a toll booth goin in and coming back, but its only a few bucks! I mean, c'mon, how much have you spent on your car in comparison :P

On a totally unrelated but partly related note... :P For all the sydney guys, I was down at Doran Pro Audio in Bankstown and saw a brand new '05 'tivo had just been fitted with a really mad system. DVD player (retractable screen), 12in sub (i think), 6X9 and all the rest... Sounded and looked incredible. Thing is, it wasnt sold yet... The dealer was having it installed...
