  1. Hey to all the Sydney guys, I dont know if you've heard or not but the Sydney cross city tunnel opens on Sunday June 12. Who wants to be some of the first to cruise through it? We can all meet at olympic park (the usual place P6...i think...correct me if wrong), and then cruise through the tunnel up to rushcutters bay, or rose bay, or double bay, or any of the cool lookout/beach areas... make a suggestion! If weather turns out good, picnic or bbq might be the way to go... I figure if anyone's gonna test it out, break it in, or vibrate it apart with loud exhausts it should be us! :D Let me know if you're in.
  2. Had another thought and needed to build on this idea... Would it work if I got the sonic air intake, and used it as the filter on a TRD CAI? Best of both worlds?
  3. To add to this discussion, I'm getting a little tied up with what filter system to buy... I was convinced that a TRD CAI was the way to go, then I discovered the blitz sonic air intake.... After having a look at it, it came with its own heat shield and the design looks promising for max airflow and performance gain. However, it sits in the engine bay while the TRD CAI system has the filter sitting away from the heat. Any thoughts on which way to swing? Both are relatively same price... Heres a pic of the Blitz system...
  4. Have you been to either one? Any preference?
  5. Hey guys, I just bought an Emanage and I need to take it somewhere to have it programmed and all that. Anyone wanna recommend a good place in sydney to have it dyno tuned? Also, does anyone know about programs you can put on to your own laptop to communicate with it?
  6. Yeah its really easy to perform and has noticable gains. Basicly the coolant lines going into the throttle body are there to heat the air up for when you start the car, its good in colder weather and some old vehicles would have a hard time starting with out them. Because hot water is flowing through the throttle body the whole throttle body is being heated up and and acting like a heater and heating the air during normal running which we all know is bad. ← I tried doing it myself the other day. Took the engine cover off, had a look at he pipes thought, to hell with this! I got no idea what I should be disconnecting and reconnecting despite danthuyer's attempts to explain it and make me understand. Can some one post up some pics of the engine and what im supposed to be looking for?
  7. SPOTTED: Black sportivo with altezza style tail lights turning on to the Princess Hwy from forest road Bexley. Looked nice... :P
  8. I would want to so I can get the feel of it all but I got all my uni crap to take care of... sucks.... Any cost to spectate?
  9. Are the track sessions organised by class of car or skill of driver? If i go i dont want some hot shot cowboy who thinks hes all that running me off the track...
  10. Ditto. I'm all revved up for one then theres no further news when its coming..
  11. Interested. Put me down for one as long as there's some kind of instructions for installation.
  12. Would like to meet all you guys and compare mods. I'm keen.
  13. Getting back to the original question... (extractors) I'm a newbie to the forums too. but I can give you some valuable input to hurricane headers. I have them installed in my 1zz-FE. I have 4-1 extractors, 2-inch mandrel bent exhaust, and a high flow cat. The whole system sounds amazing. I made sure that tone was priority and not resonating noise. (yes, there is a difference). In terms of performance, the whole set up works wonders as well. Hope that helps.
  14. I have the NGK iridiums under my hood in my 1ZZ-FE. Work great. I just got the Spitfire V prong plugs to see how they will go in my mate's 1ZZ-FE. In relation to the leads, you dont need them. The coil is on the plug. John
