I agree The New Nissan GT-R's tires have unusually pliant sidewalls, improving steering, agility and ride comfort. They are filled with nitrogen rather than conventional air, which prevents pressure change during high speed driving. Going to do some rapid driving in the Kluger hey?? :)

no whistle???? really???? just that i was advised by toyota that there would be some whistling if roof rail is installed on a kxr.... I got new Thule racks during the week....Look great being silver to match the Grande not Toyota Black.... not sure about noise yet, they are too new!

It does not replace your door lock/unlock.Lock/unlock stays the same, for sunroof is press and hold. Basically,with unlock button pressed and held you doors unlock and roof opens.Then if you want you can short press lock you doors. Same for oposite. Hi, That'd be quite useful on a hot day to let the heat out on the way back to the car, but if you have the shade closed, I guess its not going to help. Any idea if they can have the cars windows go down. IE In my Vectra and a previous VW, If I exit the car, and forget to close all wondows, then I would just press and hold the door-lock button, until all windows wound up, similarly with approaching the car, press the unlock button and hold it down, and all windows would wind down. I use this a lot in summer to cool the car off a bit. Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere on the forums, I'm fairly new, and am still trolling my way through the sage advice offered. Thanks Id go for the windows to shut with the remote that's a real benefit...

HI All, great forum, keep hagling with your dealers, We have just signed for 2009 AWD Grande Pearl with Sand for $58948 drive away in VIC, should have it in 12 weeks fresh of the line.... We added Side Steps, towbar, Front & Rear Parking Sensors, Roof Rails, car mats, for a total of $62416 drive away... This was done over the phone with a country dealer, must have been a very Sloooow month.... As he did all the work, and was the First price he quoted. Had other over the phone quotes from $72k to $67k, with the usual "come and see us"...needless to say this dealer got the job. The others didnt even bother to match or better... Not going to bother with the $2k Protection pack.....rather spend $300 a year at the detailers.. good luck to everyone else... Great buy ....dealers are hungry

If you buy a new, or near new car, and bring it into the state, I don't think the fees will be as much as you'd expect. Especially if you buy it "on road" interstate. I suggest you check with a couple of rail/truck freight companies and find out what the cost of transporting a car is. Failing that: Sydney to Perth - 3970km's - @ 10L/100 @ $1.20/L = $476 Melbourne to Perth - 3426km's - @ 10L/100 @ $1.20/L = $411 Adelaide to Perth - 2698km's - @ 10L/100 @ $1.20/L = $323 Or just pay the extra couple of grand... Your choice. Not to mention Time to do it!

And Silver or White is better than Graphite anyway. Maybe not better, more common is the word so they may be cheaper but in the end colour is irrelevant (not metallics that is a supposed extra) in the total price of the car leave that to the end of negotiations after you have closed the deal at the end of the day the cars are all the same/model spec if you know what I mean.....If you choose a colour at the beginning you give the dealer an big advantage in negotiations.

Did you end up with any success on this. I'm expecting delivery on my Grande next week, and I've asked my dealer about this as well, no surprises that they still don't have a clue. Thanks.... Nope cable still hanging there for over a year now! It doesn't seem to worry any one!! Bother. I was hoping to achieve both an Aux input and sound output via the sat-nav head-unit. I guess I'll have a shot at removing the cover of the RSE DVD player when the Grande arrives, and see what I can see. Thanks anyway, and I'll post if I have any success. Just an update. I took my car to Northfield Car Sound in Moorooka (Brisbane), and they fitted a VAISTech SoundLinq SLI interface for my iPod. I went for the SLI on their advice, as it has the AUX input, and here's the best bit, the audio out of the overhead DVD (in the rear) already comes down the passenger A-pillar. Apparently the Northfield guys have done this a lot, so they just pick it up there where it terminates at some factory connector, and use the SLI's AUX input, to get the read DVD audio to play through the factory sound system. Works a treat. The Northfield guys said they would also have a go at getting my video ipod connected to the AUX input on the rear screen. Unfortunately, the Toyota Grande Rear DVD doesn't have an AUX Video input (despite have the switch on the facia, and the US Highlander having this), so there's no way to patch my ipod into it. BTW, the Rear DVD is a Panasonic Unit (Matsu****a to be specific, I can give a model number if anyone cares, not Fujitsu Ten as reported elsewhere in these forums), and the PCB inside it has empty IC sockets for the AUX video and and FM transmitter components. Dang Hopefully this saves someone else some questions later on..... Nice work guess which cable im going to be looking for in the A pillar very soon? I bet its a fixed line out I may have to put a master contol up front for the Pilots as we have been using the Headphone volume on the side of the DVD which can be accessed from the front seats.....

If you are not in a hurry.. They will ring you in the next couple of days if they are keen on moving cars.......which is what they are paid to do. At least you got a response from the correct man the dealer principal......If they did not bluff you... Good luck with it

Just think of the money you saved with the new tyres the B's are $485.00ea so I was told on the weekend and there are none in the country! Not that I care yet I try and never mix and match Tyres on a AWD's.....Keep them all the same its a bit hard on the Kluger at $500 a corner not as bad as a guys I was talking to at a party on the weekend.....It is $2,200.00/Corner for his X5 FITTED with 22" w@nker wheels as he said, I told him to sell the car when it comes time to replace the tyres

Well, my KX-S has just done 950Km. I checked the tyre pressure for the first time tonight. Probably drove about 4km to the servo and the road was wet so the tyre temperature should have been pretty low. They certainly weren't hot to touch. Every tyre was 50psi (345Kpa)! I set them all to 40psi and then went to the next servo a few hundred metres away to make sure the first one was't faulty. Sure enough it was spot on 40psi (what I had just deflated them to at the first servo). Does the Kluger come from the factory with 50psi or did the dealer do that? Pretty weired that every tyre was spot on 50psi. Perhaps the dealer puts it at 50psi for the first 1,000km for some reason?? On the other hand, it was built in Japan in November and complianced in December. It can get pretty cold in Japan in November/December so maybe the factory put in 40psi when it was really cold??? Could a 30 degree temperature difference equate to 10psi extra. Pretty sure I mentioned this before, imported cars have their tyre pressures set ridiculously high so that the tyres don't flat-spot in transit and when they sit at the docks. Usually the dealer should drop them down to a road-worthy pressure before they leave the showroom floor, but obviously some miss this. Tyre's are meant to be checked and reduced before the car is delivered in the predelivery schedule from Toyota....told info by a Toyota Mechanic friend

Just say Autobarn fitted them... No you do have a valid point that's why these type of threads always issues If you need good lights for the country highways buy HID drivng lights that you can mount on a nudge bar. Already have them!

I'm glade you enjoyed it, take it on soft sand and you will hear it beep its head off if you don't disable the traction control.....But I was surprised even in this mode for such a big car it hauls in any condition what will the next 20 years in automotive engineering bring for us

They are fine mine never get turned on by them self they come on with the high beam wired through the original dash switch! So there is a twist to every rule, I do agree don't put fogs in if you are going to driver around with them on in the city for pose value it is a pain in the arts Andrew when I said "it is" I was referring to it being illegal to retro fit HID's to std head lights.........It opens a hole can of worms, if you do make sure you're aim the head lights down I did mine and they got checked by Toyota and they were on target so I was lucky enough to get away with it, and also don't put blue and purple colour lights in you will be just asking for trouble ...6000K Max

There is a thread about this on here, I have done the head lights and my spots are HID's as well but not the fog lights. I have done them all in my forester and I would do it again its that good, no ugly spot lights required! The ballasts I mounted behind the fog lights in the guards Not sure where you'll get you lights from as there are heaps of poor quality units out there and the guy that I got mine from dosent do it any more because of it. Take the cheaper one! 1.5k off the top end wont mean squat in 8 years time. the auto entry and start is great as well had our Grande since 2007, shell love it. Go in and say I ll take the old one today for $56,500.00 :D and Ill go go you halves in what Ive saved you!
