  1. Hey I recon I have a Monday Made press car aswell (Mine was one of the First pre orders in OZ) so is the Foz THEY both scream for stockers! There are a certain amount of Press cars made with Different more aggressive tunes and tighter tolerance etc Not much is known about them, I heard about it last month when my forester was on the Dyno...its not huge but it helps ;)
  2. Buy a Yaris if your after better fuel economy!
  3. They are like floaties for river crossings
  4. You own a Trike? Were they new?
  5. I've just gone through the pain of purchasing new tyres for my KX-S. In the end I settled on the Bridgestone D400's because I've had no trouble with them regarding wear, noise ..etc.. I considered the ADVAN ST and in fact they were cheaper than the D400's but the oversize tyre may cause more problems. I was told to watch out for the front tyres rubbing on full lock as there's not a great deal of room under the front guards. This can be fixed but added more cost. From a pricing perspective, the D400's were quoted by three of the larger national tyre chains at $550, $515, $489. Next I tried a smaller independent tyre shop called "King of Tyres" at Baulkham Hills (Sydney). They said $450 each - SOLD!! The best price I got on the ADVANS was $437 by JAX Tyres. just a side note - beware of the "king of tyres" they have a hills district reputation as the "kings of wheel nuts left off car". Too many times i have driven past only to see a car up the road from them missing a rim, and it has happened to a guy i now live near, from the same shop... moral is - Check they're on tight yourself. That's great info Guys....never used King of Tyres and they are only 5mins drive from me! Lucky I don't like lose nuts! Do you know what you have to do to the front guards to fit the Advans? Because the rubber thats on there at present does not phase me either way, I think they are a pretty average Tyre :o
  6. You can lead the way mate! :D Yokohama 19" 255/55 R19 107 Y Advan S.T. - Ultra High Performance I got 50K out of the XT's not that they are legal at the moment, these are going on next month just arrived from Japan coming through customs as we speak You may recognize these Andrew they are fitted with new Aspec Yokies what ever they are :D
  7. You Lucky duck ours just clicked over 30k this month as well and will need new tyres in the the next 6k or so. I want to know if any one has put wider tyres on the stock 19 inch rims?

  10. PC XT

    Dash Rattle

That reminds me must book car in to get new windscreen and redo dash with new revised felt mounting clips to solve the rattle problems with the Klugers!
  11. If you break down on the road call a tilt tray never tow your car, the eyelets are for emergency times only basically not to rely on for continual use, you will be fine on sand but go with some one who is experienced if you are not
  12. I believe the nudge bar may be attached through these points. There is a corresponding removable patch on the front plastic cover of the nudge bar which I think is the tow point. Haven't ever taken it off to have a look. I still wouldn't rely on it as a recovery point. I have been told by the AWD club and Toyota Mechanic not to use the screw in points! And Yes the emergency towing eyelets can be screwed into the nudge bar mounts I have never had to get pulled out and not looking forward to it as I have also been told I don't own any real 4WD's....which is true to a point more Luxury Performance than off road, I look at it as a % you use the car off road to it being on road for most it would be very luck to be 5% If it worries you go and get some professionally fitted from ARB or the like
  13. Ours does it too, I use the Hill Holder all the Time.....But make sure you put your car in gear not in N when you go to take off it could be messy and you end up revving the crapper out of your car and go nowhere fast the wrong way!! :o
  14. Thanks. So Toyota's even spoiling the fun for the off-roader as well. That's where 80% of the market is today in Japan you only really need a manual for 5% of the time today any way.
  15. FYI The new Kluger only comes in Auto Ours is coming up for its 2nd birthday and I must say have never heard a clang from the box Do you park on a hill?
  16. Nice advert for Meguiars....I use it too some times
  17. However, on the first try with a single layer DVD... the performance on the DVD system was choppy and had delays when you use the POI functions. A second attempt using a better brand DVD and a dual layered one (Verbatim), the disc runs smoothly without any problems : ) Thanks for the directions PantherX! I found the same problem will try the Dual layer that I did first.
  18. If you were in Sydney I would consider it. I most likely will go Advan's all round like the XT :)
  19. Hint for old players, you can save a couple of Bucks this time round you only need a Single Sided DVD+R.....NOT THE DUAL LAYER That is all
  20. AWD Every day all day with the Kluger .....Is the Rav on demand that would explain why they are a handful to control of the mark and in short bursts...Just heard that last week.
  21. Congrats on the new car. Use the Snow Button you should never need the down hill assist in snow unless you are going off road down very steep hills.....It is very very slow and none of the hills are that steep that you will be going down....Give it ago and you will see what I mean....it wont heart
