hhhmmmm....sounds like a pretty bad experience. If my dealer gives me that **** I will definitely take it to a higher authority too.

An engine conversion will cost you at least $1500. I use to have a car with the 4AGE engine and costs about $900. Labour would be at least $500 - $600. If you are willing to spend that much then it'll be a rocket. Just bare in mind other probs that comes with an aging car.

I bought my car at Peter Warren in Warick Farm. So far it's pretty good service for me. Takes a long time to do anything though but they are pretty friendly and helpful.

Yeah...that's what i thought. Try to talk u into it but i didn;t know it actually makes a difference. There was an NRMA report about paint protection advising that it comes standard from the factory and to refuse it if the dealer offers it to u. I forgot when this article was. I just think it is a big rip off.

This makes me rethink...i should have got the protection. It is costly though... WHY DOES IT COST SO MUCH??? Can we get it elsewhere rather than Toyota??

Seriously....I wouldn't spend money on modifications with an old car. It is a waste of money coz u will find more probs with it later on and will have to fork out more money. I had an old car before corolla 89 SX and struggled to pay for maintenance. Save ur money to buy a Stivo.....hehehe ;) But if ur really want to...try extractors/exhaust and CAI. That'll help.

Anyone looking to get eyelids as well? I will be in the next 2 or 3 weeks when my next pay check comes in. We might be able to get them a bit cheaper if we get a few of them together. Does anyone know how much it would cost to get them sprayed black as well? Total cost???

did anyone get the paint protection? Does it make a difference? I heard that it does nothing because it has the protection when it is painted at the factory as standard. Has anyone with the paint protection had bird **** on their car and wiped it off with no stain marks?

I don't thnk its as simple as tightening something. That is why they need to change the gear selector cable which apparently is not a permanent fix. Mine rattled as soon as I got the car. MY CAR IS A LEMON!! :(

Yeah...I always warm up the car first every morning. Also the fuel could be a factor. I use Optimax. What do u think the best fuel is? How long do u have to run in the engine before u can start revving it hard.....coz i started revving hard after 1000Km on the clock. I also revved it as soon as i drove it out of the dealer. Do u think that could have stuffed it a bit?

I find that my car is getting a bit sluggish and feels like it has lost a bit of power. When I first got the car and revved to the lift zone the car pulls hard. Now it feels like the engine struggles when it reaches the lift zone. Is this because i didn't run the engine in as i should have. Coz i started revving it to the **** house after 1000km's. Plus i get a knocking noise when it is idling coming from the engine. Sounds like the timing is out, the valves might need to be adjusted again.

There are a few probs with the car but not sure if the fixes are permanent. My car has the vibration in da dash which is linked to the gear selector cable. I've got it booked for the 6th Jan to get that fixed. Also the braking noise only occurs sometimes, mostly when the car has been sitting there for a while and then u go to reverse it. They are the main problems. Other than that, it is a sik ***** car! :)

My GF has no interests in cars at all...she doesn't even know how to drive!! Not planning to teach her with my car...she'll break it!!! hehehe.
