  1. I remember seeing a speed warning device in one of the Repco stores in WA. Can't remember the brand, but I think it is a circular device that needs to be hardwired from what I can recall.
  2. TOCAU-WA's Car Stalker is back! Hmm... I'll probably keep an eye out. Will have my camera ready!
  3. You are right. It's says O/PAK (Option pack) for Ascent hatch/ sedan & Levin SX on the Toyota.com.au Corolla Specifications page, but when I built an Ascent hatch on their "Build & Price your Toyota" page, a prompt came up and said that the Enhanced Safety Pack will need to be added ($1,500), can't be ticked for the Ascent sedan, while it is a stand alone option on the Levin SX (Same price.). Odd. Looks like Toyota Australia will need to fix some of the errors on their website, as it can confuse people.
  4. Sounds like it is part of an option pack (Not sure which one.) on the Ascent hatch/ sedan & Levin SX hatch. Asking the dealer's service/ parts department about a retrofit to earlier cars wouldn't hurt I guess. :)
  5. After a long wait, it is THailand's turn to get the updated Yaris. http://www.toyota.co.th/th/models/yaris/yaris2009_index.htm Customized Seat Package (10 designs to choose from.)-> http://www.toyota.co.th/th/models/yaris/customized_seat/ Video (English)-> TV Ad-> On another note, Toyota also released a Special version of the Vios (Yaris Sedan), known as the Vios GT Street Version http://www.toyota.co.th/th/models/vios/vios_gt/
  6. Just released in Thailand. Basically a 1.6E with; -Bodykit -Color-coded chrome grille -Smoke chrome wheels (Same size, same design as the model it's based on.) -Chromeless, body colored side rubbing strips -Clear rear indicators. -Leather-wrapped three spoke wheel from the Yaris/ Vios. -Two-tone dark grey/ ivory interior -Black leather trim -Unique dark wood/ metallic trim http://www.toyota.co.th/altis_ssi/ http://www.phithan-toyota.com/th/news_detail.php?news_id=119
  7. Looks like I'm the odd one out here. I actually like the the C8 Laviolette (Yes, some might call it ugly, but I think it's nice in a unique way.). Especially the leather-trimmed interior.
  8. Oh no, not one of my favorite exotic brands. http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/18/spyker-...nation-attempt/
  9. Woohoo! Another WAian! Welcome to the club mate. :)
  10. The just released down under MY2010 model is sold as a Lexus RX350/ RX450h in Japan.
  11. Wow! Nice reflections! (Referring to both Adrian's & Jeremy's car!) All hail to Adrian! Oh btw, nice red t-shirt EDIT: So you really did have projectors in your headlights after all! I kept wondering if my mind (And the sun reflection) was playing tricks with me, every time I see your car at uni.
  12. I agree. While ESP helps (Tried it during a driver training event.), I wished the government didn't treat it as the holy grail of car safety. Reminds me of SUV drivers in the US, thinking that 4WD (Without snow tires & not driving at slower speeds.) will make them invincible in the snow, but end up sliding around into other cars!
  13. Expect to see this in a Lexus outside Japan soon. Source: http://goauto.com.au/mellor/mellor.nsf/sto...A257577000EA6ED
  14. What the...????? Nooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! 101.9% Innocent, Clean & Decent->> 45% Innocent, Clean & Decent!!! *Watches Korean MVs to clean that off my mind* I think I need further treatment.
  15. LOL! The opposite of this; Note: Car used to be horny. back to the topic, saw GReddy_ES today. :D
  16. X2 (Ravioli is stock, so I can't really put in my car.) I'm not sure if I'll be in Perth during that time, but if I am, I wouldn't mind helping out.
  17. Wow! Looks like you've got a great deal! I mean, a low KM used car! Welcome to the club :)
  18. http://goauto.com.au/mellor/mellor.nsf/sto...A25757000103A5D Wheels look familiar? That's because they're the same design found on the US/ Canada-only Highlander Hybrid. Now, if only we get the Hybrid version down under.
  19. did u hear the supercharger whine? :P angelo it is :) @ TF : angelo colour coded his bonnet :) I see, that's what happens if I don't go to meets regularly I guess. hehe
  20. White Corolla with black hood & hood scoop? Sounds like Angelo's
  21. Hmmm.... I think I will do that & test it on a small part of the body. Thanks for the advice.
  22. If that's the case, then does that mean the current model Corolla Ultima sedan, previous Subaru Forester XT, Lexus GS (second gen) & IS (first gen) which use factory reflector HIDs are illegal? No, didn't see that anywhere in the ADR. Australia follows the same regulations as Europe, regarding HIDs. Other than requiring auto leveling & headlight washers, the ADR doesn't state anything about allowing projectors only for High Intensity Discharged headlights. In New Zealand (For example.), HIDs are allowed as long as the reflector or projector used is designed for HID (In other words, no glare & not requiring to chop up the factory HIDs from most JDM imports, unlike what happens here in Australia when cars are complied.).
